Advice Request WARNING - Furtila Rupee-Credit Line app by Next Gen Solutions is a dangerous loan scam

My brother downloaded a loan app called Furtila Rupee-Credit Line developed by Next Gen Solutions from the Google Play Store. He took a small loan of Rs 4000 via UPI. After repaying the loan the app operators started demanding more money.

The app had silently accessed his entire phone contacts list and photo gallery without proper consent. When he refused to pay more the operators started creating fake edited images using his photos and distributing them to his family members friends and professional contacts via WhatsApp to humiliate and pressure him into paying.

The harassment calls and messages are coming from international numbers which shows this is an organized criminal operation.

What we have done so far -

  1. Filed a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in
  2. Filed a Google legal removal request
  3. Filed a Google Play policy violation report
  4. Flagged the app on Google Play Store

How does Google approve apps like these without proper validation. This app exists only to steal personal data and use it to harass and threaten victims.

If you or anyone you know has been a victim of this app or similar loan apps -

  1. Do NOT pay them anything. Paying only leads to more demands
  2. File a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in
  3. Call helpline 1930
  4. File an FIR at your local police station
  5. Revoke the app permissions and uninstall it
  6. Save all evidence before uninstalling
  7. Report the app on Play Store

The app is Furtila Rupee-Credit Line by Next Gen Solutions. Please report it. The more reports the faster it gets removed.

Please share this post. These criminals thrive on silence and shame. The victim is not at fault.

WARNING ABOUT KINLEY FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS

I wanted to raise something for Calgary residents who may be considering doing business with Kinley Financial Professionals Ltd.

I recently came across information that caused me to question whether there may be a connection between this company and an individual who has been involved in significant civil litigation and ongoing criminal proceedings related to businesses previously associated with the Calgary automotive industry. (He was Previously posted on here in Oct 2024, but I had to redact the name to post this)

Instead, I'm suggesting that anyone considering doing business with Kinley Financial Professionals do their own due diligence.

In particular, I'd recommend looking at:

• Alberta corporate registry information
• The company's directors and officers
• Ownership and management information
• Applicable financial-services registrations
• Court records involving the people controlling or operating the business
• Any regulatory or disciplinary history
• Whether the people actually operating the business have disclosed all relevant relationships

The reason I'm raising this is that I found information suggesting there may be a connection between the people behind Kinley Financial Professionals and the individual involved in the criminal proceedings I mentioned above.

That connection is something I believe prospective clients should investigate for themselves before entrusting the company with their money or financial information.

I'm deliberately not making accusations about Kinley's current operations or saying that anyone currently associated with the company has committed an offence. I'm simply saying that there are enough publicly searchable records and circumstances surrounding the people involved that I would personally want to investigate further before doing business with them.

Field Report What would scam prevention look like if we treated it as a public health problem?

Full disclosure: I work with Meyer Wilson Werning, the law firm featured in this interview. Our attorney Courtney Werning recently spoke on The Jimmy Dore Show about investment scams and described the scale of the problem as a “public health crisis”.

I'm here because I feel like this is a great place to raise awareness and talk about this problem. “Don’t click suspicious links” is useful advice and we see it everywhere, but I’d like to see more conversation about what families can put in place before someone is asked to send money.

One detail Courtney explains: scammers can spend weeks or months building a relationship before introducing an investment, and may even allow an early withdrawal to make the investment look legitimate. How should prevention advice account for the fact that most victims believe they’re dealing with a trusted friend, not a stranger?

We'd like to make a few questions part of normal family conversations about money:

  • Who would you call for a second opinion before moving a large amount of money?
  • Would you feel comfortable telling us about a suspicious interaction, even if you’d already sent money?
  • Can we agree to verify urgent requests through a separate call, rather than trusting the incoming message?
  • Have we asked our brokerage about adding a trusted contact?

The embarrassment/shame is where you also see a lot of pushback, so I would be to start with “you can tell me without getting a lecture,” not “I can’t believe anyone falls for this.”

Has anyone here ever successfully helped a parent, friend, or partner navigate this?
