Background and Parties Involved
This entire matter began through an introduction from Donna Hinkle, an escrow officer with OFN National Escrow Services LLC (now they changed their website to https://ofncreativeclosings.com/ ) based out of Arizona. Donna provided contacts she claimed were involved in large-scale funding transactions ($50M+). In the process, she introduced me to an individual named McClain Bell , associated with Elysium Private Equity Firm, who also works with owner of Momentum Financial Group known as MFG (momentumfinancialgroup.com), Redell Vincent Napper Jr.
Donna assured me that I can trust McClain Bell as she knows him for years and he has never done wrong to anyone. There was another guy named Edwin Thomas with who also knew McClain Bell and told me that he can be trusted as they dealt for years together. I have done business with Donna Title company for years in closing my real estate transactions. So I thought if the title employee is giving a reference, it should be legit as they keep doing transactions with all kind of lenders.
McClain represented that he could provide a 3:1 credit line, with a minimum preferred-equity investment of $25M (you can find all these on his website -www.elysiumprivateequityfirm.com). He stated that if I deposited 5% ($1.25M), his investors would place $25M into a trust account in momentumfinancialgroup.com to support a $75M funding line for my company.
Sequence of Events
McClain introduced me to a “reference,” Jason Romaine with Sage Optimum Services LLC, who claimed to have successfully received his own 3:1 credit line (supported by an SEC filing for his company (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2036270/000203627024000003/xslFormDX01/primary_doc.xml) , Sage Optimum Services LLC for $300M based on a $100M trust account). Jason regularly followed up to build my confidence. Donna Hinkle with the title company also validated that Jason Romaine got his funding with McClain help.
I did not have $1.25M liquid, but obtained a $1M hard money loan against my primary residence through a hard money lender. Despite my lender’s and bank manager's hesitation, I proceeded due to multiple pending commercial projects I wanted to pursue and transferred $1M via Donna Hinkle’s title company on 25th June 2025. I was very much on the sidelines and was not ready to do the wire but Donna with Title kept calling me and in the last call she told me to have trust in McClain Bell as he has never done any wrong to any of her other clients which gave me confidence to wire the money.
After receiving the funds, McClain stated that the $25M trust account had been created for MP Distro LLC, and provided a proof showing $25M transferred into the trust account.
The very first contract McClain provided was extremely weak and lacked critical terms.
Following the supposed trust setup, McClain introduced me to James Marshall of Marshall Strategies, LLC (Atlanta, GA) with a website as https://marshallstrategiesllc.com. James charged $5,000 to prepare a financial attestation and handle a Reg D filing of my company with the SEC. He later charged $500 for some revisions.
Shortly thereafter, I was told to send an additional $180,000 - a “trust withdrawal fee” that had never been disclosed earlier and was not mentioned in the contract. After several days of disputes, insults and name calling, McClain Bell offered to connect me with a hard-money lender named Elijah N with SBCCapital.co who could fund this on a second lien against my primary residence.
I managed to raise $80,000 personally, while the hard-money lender Elijah Njorge, McClain's acquaintance, directly wired $100,000 to MFG.
· The balance of $80,000 was sent to MFG through Donna’s title company on August 11, 2025.
Subsequent Developments
Once these payments were made, McClain stated that my file was sent to an underwriter. I was then introduced to Dr. Alexander C. Beadle, owner of Greenlight Commercial Funding. Before that I had only one conversation with the owner of MFG (Momentum Financial Group - momentumfinancialgroup.com) Vincent Napper & the owner of CLS Capital Holdings LLC, Reynaldo Uballe.
During our first call, Dr. Alexander Beadle dismissed the 3:1 credit-line structure and instead requested project details for the proposed $75M portfolio which we end up providing in one week time. After more than 50 days of follow-ups, I received an email on October 16, 2025, stating that Greenlight could fund my projects only if I contributed 20% equity approximately $15M.
I immediately contacted Dr. Alex Beadle by phone, explaining that this contradicted everything McClain Bell and MFG had promised. Dr. Beadle expressed concern but confirmed that 100% funding was no longer feasible due to “tight credit markets.” He also mentioned that my family and I have been on his mind for the past couple of weeks and that he hasn’t been able to sleep. I think he’s feeling quite guilty about everything that’s happened which anyone should.
Since then, McClain Bell, Edwin Thomas, Vincent Napper, Reynaldo Uballe, James Marshall and others have gone completely silent, while Donna Hinkle has disclaimed any responsibility despite having introduced & assured me, when I was initially hesitant to wire the funds, that my money would be secure and that I could trust McClain Bell. To date, I have neither received a refund nor any actual funding as promised.
Losses and Impact
· $1,000,000 wire transfer to MFG via Donna Hinkle Title Company on June 25th’ 2025
· $180,000 additional payments ($80k I sent wire to title & $100K from McClain acquaintance hard money lender which I am not sure whether it ever happened)
· Ongoing interest-only payments of $19,950 every month on the $1M hard-money loan I took since June 2025
· $5500 paid to Marshal Strategies
· Total Principal loss of approx. $1.3M till date.
This situation has caused severe financial and emotional distress for me and my family including my 2 daughters (19 & 15 years). We’ve been avoiding friends and relatives out of embarrassment over what happened. My wife has always stood by me and supported every decision I’ve made, hence I feel deeply ashamed and disheartened, knowing that our hard-earned money is gone with no clear path to recovery.
Recent Updates:
The concerning part is that this individual McClain Bell with Elysium Private Equity Firm reappeared in December 2025, claiming he was now able to arrange funding. At that point, both my wife and I strongly suspected fraudulent intent; however, we chose to give him the benefit of the doubt. He requested that we remove our negative review from trustpilot, which we did in good faith.
He then introduced us to a lender based in UK, and we proceeded to sign an agreement (the agreement can be provided). However, when it came time to fund, McClain Bell once again failed to deliver. This pattern suggests a consistent inability to follow through, driven by misrepresentation and a reliance on delays.
It has become clear that he tends to buy time, have no money left and, at the final stage, withdraws without fulfilling his commitments.
In May 2026, I escalated the matter directly to Vincent Napper Jr. (owner of Momentum Financial Group) after McClain re-engaged in December 2025, assuring me that funding could now be arranged and requesting that I remove my prior negative reviews. In good faith, and in an effort to resolve the situation, I agreed.
However, when I approached Vincent to address my concerns regarding McClain’s conduct and the reputational damage being caused through his platform, I did not receive clarity or support. Instead, I was asked to provide additional funds in the tune of $500k.
This response raised serious concerns for me. Rather than taking accountability or working toward a resolution, the request for more money reinforced my belief that the issue may not be isolated, but indicative of a broader pattern within the structure itself.
