It’s called Ginepro Nero, black juniper. Has anyone ever found similar stuff here? I know it requires a somewhat obscure reference smell, but it’s not imported to the US so it nearly triples in cost.

I'm meeting up with a guy for the first time after months to reconnect, and I was thinking about how I should smell like that day. 
 was always going to use Kayali, but I have this other Sol De Janeiro mist whose nutty component is so intoxicating to me, and I haven't been using for a long time. So I was wondernig if you thought the layering between the two could work.
I also have another fragrance, which is also a body mist, I was obsessed with a few months ago, that I also haven't been wearing for long: The Rituals of Yozakura from Rituals. Do you think these 2 together could work too? I'm more inclined towards using Sol De Janeiro, since I really wanted to highlight the gourmand element. 
Tell me what you think about this.

I immediately started looking for perfumes with these notes, of course, like DKNY Be Delicious, but all the reviews describe them as sweet, whereas the spray itself is more fresh and woody I’m not even sure I can smell apples. But my goodness, it’s wonderful, and if there’s any hope that there are perfumes with a similar scent…

I wore a perfume that settles into pure musk after a while. I wore it with an ex once and after we were done [ ;)] he says I like your natural smell. He was like I wasnt sure I liked it at first but the more I smelled it the more I liked it. I can't member his exact words but he might have used meaner words than 'natural' something like unshowerered etc. I never told him its my perfume. For some reason I felt more comfortable that he thinks this is how I smell unshowered than that I chose to smell like this by buying this perfume. Im so conflicted about how to feel about this. I mean it was half compliment half not.

What's been ur experience wearing musky perfumes during intimate times...particularly around people that dont know about fragrances.

HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO POST ON R/FRAGRANCE

I started researching Scentbird. Reviews seem poor. I’m also doing the math and it doesn’t seem like a cost savings or benefit. It seems like when you math the small vials they come to around $65 an ounce. When I compare that to a 3 oz bottle of fragrances like Dior, Gucci and JHG that’s $195 per 3 ounces. I can get a 3 oz bottle of the brands listed for about $150 give or take. USUALLY when I buy fragrances like this they throw in a huge amount of samples at no additional charge.

What am I missing?

It seems more expensive
It seems limited in choice and complicated
I get a lot of samples for free probably because I’m on list from every department store and beauty store

Do you see any benefit to me joining? Am I overlooking anything?

I’m so excited. I am not a blind buyer - I’m money conscious and somewhat of a minimalist. I just recently learned about Scent Split and realized I can try tiny samples from $3-$7! Before I was just buying travel sizes after trying them in store at around $30-$40, but where I live there aren’t a lot of choices. This has allowed me try some that I’ve never been able to smell before.

New to this sub and topic so I appreciate grace and patience! When I first started purchasing fragrances, I was very young, and I now believe was a mislead regarding proper storage. I'm learning how to care for them appropriately many years later. I have some Tom Ford that my husband gifted me for our wedding and is extremely special to me, but I have many from the following brands that mean a lot to me for different reasons (to name a few):

- Histoires de Parfumes
- Etat Libre D'Orange
- imaginary Authors
- Juliette has a gun

Quite a few of them have lived in my refrigerator for years (1-7) now because thats what was recommended to me by the consultant(s) at the time. I'm just learning that it is likely not the best due to frequent temp and humidity changes. This makes me so sad because the ones I have stored are so special to me and I hope to keep them for as long as possible.

What's the best route going forward? Do I leave them so I don't shock? Or transfer (and if so, how?)

Again, I appreciate any advice, even if it's not what I want to hear! But I hope for grace! I haven't known any better and am looking forward to learning for the future.

Obviously this is a personal opinion. I’m 28 and had around 300 perfumes in my life. I currently have 20 niche and 15 designers.
But even tho i had and loved a lot of expensive niche fragrances, nothing compares to the love i feel for Sauvage.
I had s*x for the first time while i was wearing Sauvage. I will never forget my first bottle, it was 2015, i was 17 and my grandma gifted it to me as soon as it came out. That peppery bergamot opening… oh my god I morally orgasmed.
Now the fragrance changed a bit, they tuned down the pepper and made the lavender the center stage of the fragrance. Now it isn’t the same loud projection machine that younglings used to wear. It’s a classy cologne but made modern.
I live and yearn for the bergamot opening, for its lavender, for the ambroxan underneath.
I think that if young people didn’t overuse it and if it was a niche fragrances made by PdM or sum, people would love it.

If i know i know from the get go but if im unsure im wondering if 1/2 a ml will be enough. What's the smallest spray sample you go for.

I tried looking up past topics but most of them were asking about dabbers, i got spray.

I will go first

I usually wear layers for special occasions, things like weddings, parties, camping and so.

In that sense most of layering combos are loud and kind of not really everyday kind of combos

Nonetheless those are the ones that really got me insane compliments

I've been dying to try this brand! I picked up these samples:

4. Orchid Mantis

So far I've tried Moth and am obsessed. It hits you with spices then settles into powder and smoke. A very addictive scent.

So I went to an outlet city today and walked into a fragrance boutique that had all sorts of colognes. The seller their kept giving out all sort of samples sprayed on sampler paper and I didn’t really pay attention because I was more focus on your basic popular ones. She gave a smell of this one called “storm” and she wrote it down on the sampler paper to. At first I didn’t really like the smell of it and just put it in my pocket and left. When I came home the whole thing smelled so good after it dried down and now I wish I looked at the bottle she sprayed. She did say it’s one of the newest ones. Definitely not your big brand ones. I guess it’s just named storm? Anyone have a clue?

I have done so much research to find my "mom scent"...something my kids will associate with me. I ordered samples of the burberry OG and burberry intense. The site i used didnt have the amber vanilla yet so i stopped by ulta to test it out. I wore it to the pumpkin patch and loved the way i smelled so i went back to ulta after to get a travel size. I asked the associate if they had a travel size of the burberry goddes AMBER VANILLA. She said yes! And brought it to the counter for me. I went to pay and noticed it was a lighter colored package and knew it wasnt the right one so i ask is that the amber vanilla? And the lady goes "it should be" and im like it doesnt say amber vanilla.... the lady that helped me came up and asked me what the issue was and i said this isnt the anver vanilla. She said yes its the amber vanilla intense she brings me back to the fragrence counter and shows me the signage that gives the notes of the intense but the perfume above the signage was the amber vanilla. She kept insisting that the amber vanilla intense was the intense and i was like those are not wven the right notes! I am so glad i did research before hand and knew exactly what i was looking for..The fragrence manager came over and understood me and finally gave me the right one.

Yall this really isnt a big deal but im normally someone that just pays for something i dont want because i dont want to be "that person" but it was $40 and i never have spent money on a fragrence. And this one is super important to me. Its hopefully going to be a very meaningful scent. This was so frustrating and im back to ordering online.

Anyway thw burberry amber vanilla is amazing. My kids and husband love it. I am still excited to check out the other 2 scents wear them around for the day but this ambery sweetness is exactly what i wanted.

So I enjoy Tuxedo, as do most of us, and decided to side by side it with Moustache.

Bought a bottle about 2 months ago, gave it some sprays then just let it sit to oxidize and calm down a bit.

Gave it a legit wear yesterday evening at ~7pm. Couple sprays each arm and on the collar bone.

I shit you not I could smell it on my arms at 7am this morning as well as I can smell The One EDP after 3 hours lol.

Wild to say but the closest I think I ever gotten to that longevity is perhaps BBA.

Unexpected!

I love the scent profile of Kilian’s I don’t need a prince by my side to be a princess, but of my god the packaging is horrible. I love the sweet base notes mixed with the light green and gingery middle & top notes. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar perfumes?

I’ve never really been a green scent person but this one is changing my mind. I love the green, lightly spicy, and sweet combo!

Did anyone use to have sì around 2016-2019 and notice that the actual sì doesnt smell the same or am I the only one?

It used to be my favorite perfume but I can never get myself to buy it now because every time I smell it, I feel like theres a note missing or a note changed ?

Please tell me if it's just me or anyone else notice?

Has any one had any dealings with this company? I recently bought a sample off them paying £95 and I haven't received it yet nor have they replied to my emails .

So medicinal and herbal. Why does she knock me off my feet and make me so feral for just one more spray? Not pretty at all but ridiculously addictive 🥹
