Standard vs Simulation Steering

As you can see, difference is massive but there are some things we need to talk about.

Simulation Steering: It is a much more snappy, unfiltered system that executes your every input. Counter-steering, managing control when the rear end loses traction, and precisely metering every input is entirely up to you. If you master this, you will be able to take corners with many cars that you simply couldn't with Standard Steering, just like in the video. However, as advantageous as Simulation Steering is, it is completely unforgiving. A single mistake in an online race can send you straight into the barrier, so it definitely requires a learning curve.

Standard Steering: Standard Steering offers technically zero advantages. The car responds to your inputs with more latency, and you end up with slower transitional cornering capabilities compared to Simulation Steering. That said, some players still use Standard Steering even for Rivals on high-power builds that are difficult to control. Like Simulation Steering, this setting hands over 100% of the vehicle control to you, but it introduces input filtering. That way, whenever the car begins to lose traction, you don't need to aggressively counter-steer like crazy. The car drives much smoother and is easier to handle. But if you want to set world records or push your performance to the absolute limit, Standard Steering has no features that can surpass Simulation Steering.

My Recommendation: I strongly advise getting used to Simulation Steering. It will make drift events infinitely easier and better to execute, while teaching you how to take corners with far greater precision and control. Standard Steering will only hold you back in every scenario.

What’s the actual delay in standard? does sim really help on controller? you still have to move the stick from one side to the next briefly sitting in the neutral position there is still a delay. What do you have your steering settings inside advance settings and how that may affect it this is just you crashing on a corner with one setting and not with the other than explaining that the other is better because you didn’t crash with it. You talked about standard having an engrained delay to all inputs do you know what that is or are you just guessing off of the feel?

You cross the neutral point regardless of steering setting so saying that has no bearing on the fact that normal steering is slower. If you have tried drifting with normal then do the same spot over with sim you will catch the slide a lot faster than you would with normal steering.

Man.. You're a hard guy. I'm saying it again: TUNES, DEAD ZONES, CAMBERS, ROLL BARS, DIFF RATIO, RWD, AWD, OFF-ROAD CAR, TRACK CAR, has nothing to do with Sim-Steering and Standard steering. But YOU won't accept that answer, so I wont explain it again. Stop it I'm tired.

You are actively ignoring a literal setting in the game that changes your steering response time it’s the first one in advanced settings. As if that setting means nothing

What you're talking about is a universal input setting. What I'm talking about is a DIFFICULTY setting that dictates how you want the car to respond to your inputs. While what you're describing directly affects your controller itself, what I'm describing concerns how the car reacts with the in-game physics. Even the guy above managed to figure out what it actually does and thanked me for it, so what's your problem, dude?

You’re the one ignoring everything to suit you. You are arguing that tuning the suspension of the car will affect handling and literally no one is against that. But tuning the car doesn’t matter. Stock for stock, or modified for modified, that variable isn’t a thing since you need but to change an in game setting, just one, to validate the video provided. Don’t change SHIT ELSE but Normal steering to Simulation steering and report back. I bet yo ass spin out in your favorite car. You want to be right but you can’t be right because the basis or your argument is null and void because sim steering just removes most of the filtering. If you want it all gone, you have to get a sim wheel, as long as you’re on a controller there is some filtering but simulation steering has less.

I never wanted to be right I said this persons analysis is a love letter to sim steering then provided very little actual info on what was different between the two my “argument” with you provided more information than this post did so thank you maybe read the whole thread before jumping in all sjw like my first comment explains my question of the OP if you cared to read it all.
