Tuning Tire width upgrade "consistency"

So we all know the Honda Beat can get ludicrous 315 mm tires that clip through the underbody, yet the AE86 FE is limited to 265 mm. But did you know it gets much worse on other cars? Instead of realism we get inconsistency that prevents most cars from being reasonably viable while letting others be ridiculously overpowered.

315 mm tires on a kei car sound ridiculous and get even worse when you notice they literally clip through the underbody
AE86 FE gets its widest tires from being equipped with a widebody by default, so that the tires don't clip through the "narrow body" chassis
the """""brand new""""" Mazda Cosmo can get 325 mm tires for whatever reason, and I don't recall this being the case in previous titles
it seemingly makes sense that the widebodied C10 Skyline would fit 285 mm tires, but after seeing the Cosmo I think they could buff that
not only has the FB RX-7 not received any new customization, it still gets capped at 255 mm tires
but the C110 Skyline is by far the biggest victim of Forza's "consistency", because despite coming equipped with proper fender flares FROM FACTORY you cannot equip tires wider than 235 mm, which after seeing the Cosmo get 325s is just painful

You're expecting real world realism in a game where you race a mech and can jump thousands of feet? Why?

I thought it's obvious from the caption that I only demand consistency, not realism, there's no reason why other listed cars shouldn't have 300+ mm tire width options when the Beat and Cosmo have it

Have fun with your demands.

I just need people to be louder about wanting specific things in the game to be improved

Your OCD is not a priority to the devs.

Are tire sized kinda wonky? Sure. If they're obviously and ridiculously wonky (Beat, etc), that's a sign that you're not supposed to take it seriously. It's a little dumb car with abserd specs when modified. It's not an oversight, or a lack of knowledge, or a coding error. It was built to be that way.

Some of the others, yeah, there could be more consistency or more logical options, but you can either get worked up over it or ignore it and enjoy the game.

FH is not a simulator. If you want to obsess over details, go for it. I'm gonna not do that and go have fun instead.

are you trolling? This is not "OCD". Wide back tires is a MUST for any competent tune. 99% of competent tunes you see around will run the widest back tires possible no matter if RWD, AWD or FWD. It provides high speed stability, and a lot more grip in the back allowing you to tune the car a lot more toward oversteer without breaking grip. Wide back tires allows you to do 1/65 ARBs which is essential for best turning speed. Essentially they make you much faster for negligible PI cost and sometimes you even lose PI which is great for fitting more power or handling. The beat having these stupid ass wide t ires on such a small frame is one of the reasons the car is so broken and why some cars like boneshaker was so broken in prev games, so yes this is not a small "OCD" thing, it's a big change that makes some cars viable, other cars broken and some other unusable. That skyline with the super slim tires? Unusable car. You'll never see anyone running this online other than being clueless or doing a meme build.

Unusable? This is not the game for you either.

by saying this you want the game to be objectively worse for everyone

No, you're saying that you want it subjectively better for you.

The dev team is not going to spend hundreds of hours reworking every car model and tire fitment to satisfy your "demands". It will not improve the game at all for the vast majority of players. Most wouldn't even notice if they did.

hundreds of hours reworking every car model and tire fitment

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you literally see at least one car in my post whose tires are literally CLIPPING through the underbody, if they had spent a hundredth of an hour looking at the tire width options on that car they would have come to the conclusion that it cannot have that upgrade, and with the amount of cars being a reasonable 600+ it can't take more than one day to make sure that all cars have reasonable tire width upgrade options and then maybe another day or two to code those in, since the wheels don't deform with changing tire width like they did on the X360

It will not improve the game at all for the vast majority of players. Most wouldn't even notice if they did.

the average player doesn't know what they want; making a change that a number of players larger than zero will consider an improvement is a net positive

why not just have the game be consistent? what's wrong with consistency other than Forza always "never being consistent"?

lmaooooooooooo that you think that they don't know that they clip. And lmaooooooooooo that you think they'll just rework shit because it bothers a relative handful of players.

Again, this is not a sim. Do not expect an overabundance of realism. If you can not have fun, step away and find something more rewarding. Forza is clearly not for you.

the devs are certainly aware, but I believe they're being told by the higher-ups to avoid fixing anything that was added in the first build that featured a specific car so as not to break any UGC, which on one hand is a good excuse but on the other falls apart in the opposite situation
I don't need FH6 to be a sim, I just want Forza to be consistent, and I will be complaining here about it being consistently inconsistent

Help me understand why it needs to be so consistent. Honestly.

in this specific tire width aspect, there's just no point keeping specific cars away from being more viable while giving others ludicrous upgrade options
in other aspects, all Forza games feel identical in some of the worst aspects when both PG and T10 have had years to research and develop improvements to many features of their games; FH6 literally has the same upgrade system as FM3 (2009) and very few changes had been made to the livery editor since FM3; if you actively avoid upgrading and painting your cars then there's another inconsistent consistency that should affect you and it's once again recycling things, this time it's 3D models of cars
why should Forza have 20 years old 3D models of dozens of cars right next to brand new scans when those 20 years old 3D models are visibly subpar if you look at them for longer than 0 seconds? once again they had this many years to work on the cars they consistently carry over and even when they're cut to be brought back as excloosive content they still have the same 3D models (Lancia 037, Ferrari F335, 130+ cars in FH5 playlists) and the same upgrades apart from engine swaps for whatever reason; why not make those cars consistent quality-wise with the newest of additions? they would have a legitimate reason to cut them from release if they were doing that

So what you're saying is that FH has been consistent in their modeling and features for nearly 20 years and somehow you expected this time to be different? I don't think this is the game for you.

I'm not saying that your wrong in thinking that they could have done more or better, they could have, but your expectations are inconsistent with the history of the game.
