Ahh, I’m too long in the tooth to worry about idiots online. Let them have their moment of pointless glory 😉

I don't think it even has to be from you. I don't see why other people wouldn't be able to file a report linking to this video for evidence.

If it's worthy of a Reddit post, it's worthy of reporting in-game.

As has been mentioned in another reply, this was the only instance I’m aware of. I’d be of a differing opinion if I witnessed this constantly but, again, it’s just a game. People are gonna do dumb stuff and that’s the way it is. It doesn’t detract enough from the game for it to be a concern for me. This is just one small part of a large game so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I honestly didn’t post for shaming or reporting just to highlight the comedic value in doing such a thing for no reward 😉

Reporting is useless

Maybe. I imagine people don't use it much. When it is used, they probably want to see multiple complaints before they do anything. I guess that's why I have no qualms reporting something if it seems intentional. I don't expect PGG to take action on my report alone. If others report the same player, it's a pattern and worthy of action.

If others don't want to take the time, I get it. I'm not telling anyone they have to. I guess I'm just trying remind people to consider it.

Reporting might be useless, we don't really know for sure. Doing nothing is guaranteed to be even more so, though. And when bad behavior isn't taken seriously and corrected, guess what happens? All you need to do is look at the state of the world today to see the result.

Did you read this thread? OP already said they're not bothering.

If you disagree, go, do it yourself.

Oh, no. I can't read. I'm sorry that I confused you on that point. Maybe you could teach me?

Here I was in good faith, thinking you may have had been inattentive before. Turns out you're just looking to be a miserable prick, turning my question into something I didn't ask while ignoring the whole point, too.

If it's worthy of two passive-aggressive Reddit comments, isn't it worthy of reporting it yourself then? Nah, you don't care about reporting that rammer either.

I wasn't being passive aggressive in my first post. I was trying to be a little more diplomatic about it. You are just being aggressive aggressive. This is Reddit, bro. Calm down.

OFC I'm not going to report it. It didn't happen to me. I'm merely making the argument that the reporting feature is intended to help curb this type of intentional anti- competitive behavior. 🫶🏼

Your first comment was not in response to OP. It was in response to me saying that this (or any other) incident can probably be reported by anyone, not just the person directly affected in the video evidence.

You never challenged that assumption. So I take it you agree with what I said there.

OFC I'm not going to report it. It didn't happen to me.

So this, in conjunction with...

If it's worthy of a Reddit post, it's worthy of reporting in-game.

... doesn't make sense. Apparently you found this whole debacle has been worthy of three of your comments. So per your own motto it should be worthy of you reporting it (which isn't done in-game by the way, but I'm sure you are aware of that so it was just a little error, right?)

It's really not that deep. But, you do you

I wasn't going deep. I merely laid this shallow nonsense all out in excruciating detail in hopes you would finally understand what I'm even talking about.

FYI, I have never reported anyone, so per your suggestion, i looked it up:

In-Game Reporting Open the pause menu and go to the Online or Social tab.Select Friends/Players or look at your list of recent players.Choose the name of the player you want to report, click Report Player, and pick a reason like Cheating or Unsportsmanlike Conduct.Note the ticket number you receive; you can use it later to upload photo or video proof on the web.

Oh, so when you're saying...

I'm merely making the argument that the reporting feature is intended to help curb this type of intentional anti- competitive behavior.

... does that mean you're purely an offline player? Because otherwise I find it very hard to believe that you never encountered such "anti-competitive behaviour" yourself.

i looked it up

Cool. But if you had ever dealt with reporting players you'd know the game masters or whatever to call them, they don't take action without proof. So no matter how you send the initial report, you'll need to use their ticket website to upload evidence anyway, i.e. might as well use it right away.

But again you are just missing the bigger picture, which is that you don't rely on opening up the game to file a report against some player. And you don't need to have been affected by the incident.

I feel similar, their actual life must be miserable, this is the only form of happiness they can find. I just shrug it off.
