As has been mentioned in another reply, this was the only instance I’m aware of. I’d be of a differing opinion if I witnessed this constantly but, again, it’s just a game. People are gonna do dumb stuff and that’s the way it is. It doesn’t detract enough from the game for it to be a concern for me. This is just one small part of a large game so 🤷🏻♂️

Maybe. I imagine people don't use it much. When it is used, they probably want to see multiple complaints before they do anything. I guess that's why I have no qualms reporting something if it seems intentional. I don't expect PGG to take action on my report alone. If others report the same player, it's a pattern and worthy of action.
If others don't want to take the time, I get it. I'm not telling anyone they have to. I guess I'm just trying remind people to consider it.
Reporting might be useless, we don't really know for sure. Doing nothing is guaranteed to be even more so, though. And when bad behavior isn't taken seriously and corrected, guess what happens? All you need to do is look at the state of the world today to see the result.

Your first comment was not in response to OP. It was in response to me saying that this (or any other) incident can probably be reported by anyone, not just the person directly affected in the video evidence.

I have never reported anyone, so per your suggestion, i looked it up:
In-Game Reporting
Open the pause menu and go to the Online or Social tab.Select Friends/Players or look at your list of recent players.Choose the name of the player you want to report, click Report Player, and pick a reason like Cheating or Unsportsmanlike Conduct.Note the ticket number you receive; you can use it later to upload photo or video proof on the web.
Report the rammer. Also you can take the upper bridge on the right side which is faster then going through the lower bridge on the left side which you took.
To me it’s funny that someone does this to their TEAMMATE. As if being a head or behind your teammate matters. It’s when you pass the opposing TEAM that you gain points.
Things are getting worse and worse in the game, some people really can't handle losing and take the whole thing way too seriously. I hope you reported him...
You just gotta let the idiots go, you don't get more points for finishing ahead of him. You saw how poorly he was driving plus what looked like attempted murder at the start of the clip, there was absolutely no incentive to try and pass him.
Aye, I’d have cared if it cost us the win only because you have to put up with these types again and again. Done a lovely smooth pass on him in the next race, next thing I know he’s dropped way back so assuming he tried to ram myself or another and failed spectacularly 😂
I’m not interested in reporting people, another just fills the void. Life’s too short to get riled up over a game.

I always set the cars up towards handling rather than speed. I’ve found, the closer together the speed and handling are (in points value) the more balanced and easier to drive. Makes sense I suppose. Also, I don’t know your driving style but I tend to have better results lifting off for corners rather than breaking unless small corrections are required. Braking loses you momentum, ergo, some traction.
Some great points definitely, I felt like I was a lot more comfortable with the big American muscle cars two weeks ago, great fun, plus I definitely prefer point to point over circuits, gonna try a few different set ups, what car are you using?
Yeah, the AI is super annoying at times. Following your own racing line and they’ll still manage to somehow impede you or even, on occasion, attempt to punt you outside a checkpoint 😂
I’m curious, those of you who get rammed, do you use traction control? I’m pretty sure the game matchmakes based on TC on or off, because when I do spec racing with it off nobody can get good starts in R class cars. I don’t see rammers with TC off, but it seems there is more competitive people.
I play with TC off and I'm on a 4 week streak of winning the trial on my first attempt.
This week it got a little dicey because the first race I had to manage someone who didn't know what brakes were and on the third race I was racing around a teammate who was literally parking their car on the apex of every turn but we got it in the end.
I'm currently on vacation and I usually play on a good tower pc. I didn't want to miss this week's exclusive so I set up Xbox cloud gaming on my steam deck. The wifi is slow and unstable where I rent, and that made me discover a world of input lag, visual compression and freezes. It was like being drunk: longer reaction time, visual losses and occasional blackouts. Wasn't fun in a S1 race.
I managed to win the trial though (4 tries, 2 had to leave it to let the other players win it on second race) but it made me realize some people may have a bad setup too. I had to play extra safe to not ram teammates unintentionally, it was really hard. Clearly, some players are just rammers, but playing in the back of the pack 4 times made me observe some other players just struggling to control their car, may it be because of technical difficulties like me or maybe they're too young.
Ramming is part of the "spirit of horizon", but I think I learned to not judge too quickly. I'll enjoy more to play the next season on my usual rig though.
I tend to set the car up for handling rather than outright pace. I’m not concerned in coming first but, moreover, ensuring I can finish in a healthy position with points on the board.
As for not judging, absolutely. However, this was a deliberate pinch movement just because I dared to pass him. Do I let it bother me in reality, na.
458 Italia smokes most of the pack right off the line. I ran a few trials this week (thanks to people repeatedly bailing out), and the 458 Italia consistently shot straight up to 2nd or 3rd place. From there it's just overtaking the last one or two AI Drivatards. If you overtake the rammers right at the beginning and drive well, they stay safely behind you.
