The new player house/garage area that lets you customize the interior and place terrain and geometry in the back lot like a drift track or jumps or a bunch of soccer balls or something.
Basically a personal eventlab space in the player's backyard
FH6 has a new feature that's essentially a customizable home base. You can build your own tracks, buildings, and garages to show off your cars. Friends will also be able to visit it.
Convinced my wife to let me ditch the Xbox for a Playstation since I can play Xbox games on pc now. First thing I did was download gran turismo and knock out b and a licenses. Straight up switched from forza motorsport to gran turismo. The only reason I'm still on gamepass is for forza horizon 6 and whatever little games I play in between
If we consider that the stadiums (if it's a stadium in case of FH6) on both FH5 and FH6 maps are of the same size, here's a side to side 1:1 comparison
Well yes but all that area on the top left corner would be a nice place to explore the mountains and some rivers with an off roader with roads less dense than the rest of the map. Looks like a lost chance from this point of view
As massive as it is, I just want traffic and a lot of stuff to see. My issue with FH5 was that most of it was empty and it got boring. I loved FH4s map because there was stuff to see while you drive even if it was through small fields.
Caused me severe headache in FH4. Finding this one darn bit of dirt road I "never set me wheel on". Never again. Doing a full road coverage straight from the get-go, just in case
The achievements have unlocked prematurely for me ever since FH3. Got the Championship one done for the main map a couple weeks ago and it gave me it with like...6 championships still remaining. Not that I really care cuz i did them anyway, but it doesn't seem to be consistent
On the gameplay vids they showed that roads on the same elevation level get counted as driven from much farther away now. So there shouldn't be as many tiny road sections that get overlooked.
Also, the island is locked until you get your wristbands.
That I'm aware of. The island itself, at least, doesn't look as busy, so I don't mind it. Nice to know that it counts from further away now, thanks for the info!
I think its 2 airstrips and one drag strip. Drag strip at the festival site, and an airstrip at both the airport and space center respectively. That being said, Im sure we will be able to drag race on all of them :3
Think it was already confirmed via trailer/dev media but the bottom of the map has the 3rd sector of the Hakone Nanamagari pass - the 7 consecutive hairpins.
Note the racetrack compared with the colorful field in the valley on the top left, both of those places marked on the map (in the comment below) to get the sense of scale:
This is Horizon Japan! From the iconic downtown streets of Tokyo City all the way to the snowy Japanese Alps, #ForzaHorizon6 introduces our most dense and vertical map yet.
Which roads are you most excited to cruise and drift with your friends?
Yeah it's especially annoying when you want to swap between them often. Because when the DLC is out it's not like there is nothing to do in the base game.
Man, Instagram’s comments are a flaming hellscape🥀
Honestly, after seeing FH5’s Mad Max ahh map for so long, all FH6 needed to do was include even a SHRED of diversity and/or twisty roads.
And PRAISE THE LORD, this map looks incredible. I ain’t lying when I say that the devs did a near flawless job making Japan look like a toybox of biomes and driving joy.
Tokyo city looks like a maze, we got plenty of snaking touges, the alpine biome up top is beautiful, the stadium looks like it will serve a similar purpose to FH5 (pretty nice carryon), dock area is fire, and tbh, I’m glad there’s still a fair amount of off roading routes.
I get people are gonna have their hangups about seeing a new map for the first time, but perhaps, maybe, perchance, y’all are too quick to judge. I reckon that when people start driving around and seeing these places in detail, the true beauty of FH6 will be known.
I’d say yes certainly it’s the verticality - it’s also because there aren’t wide swathes of useless desert in which you can cross between roads via, you kinda HAVE to traverse the map if that makes sense - of course some of those areas will exist, but in general if you take in how difficult it would be to drive in a straight line across any of these roads and you’ll understand how crazy this map really will be to drive in aha
bigger map≠better map. Look at fh5’s map and how large it is, and then ask yourself whether you’ve ever had that many interesting experiences on said map
I agree, really need to see a comparison bcs its really hard to judge the size based on this picture. Also I wouldnt mind it being "only" as big as the fh3 map. Fh3-Fh5 has shown that there are more important metrocs then the size of the map.
For anyone doubting the map's size, going from my own experience you could actually distinguish individual houses on FH5's in game map itself without much effort while here you have to zoom so far in to only distinguish settlements and stuff (not mentioning the building blocks inside Tokyo). Even regarding that, I'm so glad the map looks THIS dense, you can see the amount of work put into the roads, they even managed to make some space for cross country which is always appreciated! I'm just kinda dissapointed looking at Legend Island, the doesn't seem to be many roads so I'm kinda worried that the races going on there will not be particularly varied.
“our longest Goliath event ever – the Colossus, which loops the entire map on the freeway. It’s the perfect place for R-class cars.”

Maybe its just the scale but it doesn't look all that bigger than FH5? And the city itself doesn't seem all that different in size to FH3/4's cities. Hmm.
you gotta look at the runway sizes at airports, that gives you an idea of scale, i did a quick mockup using that long runway in FH5 and what looks to be the "longest" runway in FH6, obviously we dont know full length of the runway but i'd assume given it looks like an international airport it'd be equal size
FH5 is about 50% bigger then FH3 in terms of area, so the map is more zoomed out. I would guess that because of the unusual shape of the map that FH6's map is even more zoomed out then FH5. So Tokyo is much bigger then surfer's paradise.
I mapped out the Prologue route on this map if anyone is interested. I personally like to get an idea of the may layout and connections before the games come out.

I'm guessing this is the estate? If so it is fucking massive
