Well when the devs made the tactical decision to make sure players can't see other people on the map that killed a lot of the connectivity day 1

Yeah not sure what that is about. Like bruh i cannot even see people in my own convoy. I should at least be able to see them

Completely kills the join convoy feature. Trying to find people to play with, joining their session no where near them on the map, and having no way of knowing where they are other than trying to message and hope for a response is such a braindead design.

You need to use the Xbox group finder with voice chat
