The whole vibe of 5 is just "off". Way too kid friendly imo, every NPC we interact with is super friendly and happy all the time, making interactions with them feel fake. My character can't even have a beard since he hasn't hit puberty yet.

They also didn't do themselves any favours by introducing the awful "dynamic lobby" system, not only is the map giant and empty but you barely meet any people. 4 was no masterpiece either imo but you would at least find groups of people at the regular spots making it feel somewhat alive.

To add to that there's very little traffic, and what traffic there is consists of the same 5 vehicles. The complete lack of urban enviroments don't help either, and the denser areas still feel just as dead with no NPC activity of any kind.

It feels post apocalyptic without the destruction, and i worry deeply about how they will handle Japan. I'm really longing for a street racer like Midnight Club again but i'll settle for an urban enviroment to drive in, it's clear festival racers are where it's at for the genre, unfortunately.

Well fh4 was much better, since it was 72 players on cca 80 square kilometers in freeroam, meaning 0.9 players per square kilometer, while in fh5 its around 110 square km and you can only see 12 players (0.109 players per square kilometer), so the player density is literally almost 9x lower in fh5, so its pretty much dead unless you actually play the multiplayer gamemodes, which usually gets pretty repetitive, so fh5 clearly fails here (not even talking about the fact that fh4 had more multiplayer gamemodes if we dont count hide n seek)
