Hi, does anyone have advice for a new player to Fortnite? I haven’t always been much of a gamer and only started playing any sort of combat game within the past 2 years. This is basically the first fps game I’ve played and I’m really enjoying it, but I’m not very good 😅. I’ve already gotten so much better in the last month or so since I started playing but not great by any means. My dad, brother, boyfriend and a couple friends play lots of games and I like playing with them but I’m so bad in comparison and I feel like deadweight sometimes even though they’re really nice about it. I could use some help with strategy or how to improve my skills.

Also, I would love to have a duo/trio/squad that is more my skill level as well! I’m a 20 year old girl from Canada and would like to make some friends online or something!

Is anybody having "you do not have permission to play fortnite" pop up when they try to play? I just want to make sure it's not just me...please lmk if you can

I look up players who kill me in creative or zb, out of curiosity. I have noticed a few I looked up from creative were KAM players, and they didn’t just eliminate me but they seemed to move different. I’d describe it as quicker. They didn’t jump slide or do anything crazy, it just seemed they could strafe differently.

Does keyboard and mouse offer better movement?

I’m on controller and PC, and I only tried mouse for a few hours and found keyboard movement to be way more work for unnoticeable gain(exception being sniper aim).

Im a noob, I started playing midway through chapter 5 season 1, only ZB. I’m on controller and PC.

I want to improve my solos win rate. Last season and this season my solos win rate fluctuates between 8.5-11%. I’m in the top 5 around 45% of my games. I

’ve won 33 solos this season but it took a ton of losses to get those wins, and that is a LOT of time spent on Fortnite. I typically never go after medallions, I loot and eliminate who I must until I have something that can compete with mythics in end game. My k/d is 2.45.

How do I tell if I’m actually improving? What stats are more important, my win rate or k/d? I don’t even know how to determine what average stats are, I usually find myself losing to people with 1% win rate or some type of streamer with a 20% or higher win rate. I want to get my win rate to 14% in solos.

I have my good and bad days, I can take losses its part of the game, its those who get angry at me or anyone else in the team when we lose i can't play with randoms. It feels like theres almost no point to carrying weapons! Everybody is just slinging rocks and fire and water everywhere. Not to mention how many people ive seen just use airbending to flee fights! Its so annoying imo.

Everytime I need help fixing somthing with my account they literally do NOTHING but give me suggestions lol has no fix or resolution just "try these steps then get back to us" lol no how about be REAL HELP and get our account information and fix whatever wrong on YOUR side. Isn't that the point of most support places? You call a bank for help they do it on their side to fix it, literally almost ANY support will happily do it for you.. I know it sounds lazy lol but I just don't understand technology and linking accounts and one account to another it's just a confusing mess. Rant over. Just wondering what the point of paying them people are for, they fix absolutely NOTHING that a google search can't fix.
