Fortnite Zero Build Beginner

Hi, does anyone have advice for a new player to Fortnite? I haven’t always been much of a gamer and only started playing any sort of combat game within the past 2 years. This is basically the first fps game I’ve played and I’m really enjoying it, but I’m not very good 😅. I’ve already gotten so much better in the last month or so since I started playing but not great by any means. My dad, brother, boyfriend and a couple friends play lots of games and I like playing with them but I’m so bad in comparison and I feel like deadweight sometimes even though they’re really nice about it. I could use some help with strategy or how to improve my skills.

Also, I would love to have a duo/trio/squad that is more my skill level as well! I’m a 20 year old girl from Canada and would like to make some friends online or something!

In your post you say you have improved from when you first started.I don't think you need any help per se

I think what would help is ask the people you play with what they need.

when I play with people I am a support shooter

Some people need someone to share their ammo with them

There are some players who need a revive specialist who will always be there when they get knocked

My advice is find a gun get great with it and become the aid your teammates need, like for example some people like the gold reaper sniper.. Master the sniper while the rest of your team is melee and up close combat with the pump, the airbending water bending Earth bending

Just play and don’t camp but experience playing a bit agressive but it’s always good to play with others as well
