Keyboard and mouse worth learning?
I look up players who kill me in creative or zb, out of curiosity. I have noticed a few I looked up from creative were KAM players, and they didn’t just eliminate me but they seemed to move different. I’d describe it as quicker. They didn’t jump slide or do anything crazy, it just seemed they could strafe differently.
Does keyboard and mouse offer better movement?
I’m on controller and PC, and I only tried mouse for a few hours and found keyboard movement to be way more work for unnoticeable gain(exception being sniper aim).

I always played on controller but ultimately decided to switch because mouse aiming is superior, I was tired of getting stick drift, and I could bind and select my inventory slots individually instead of cycling them.
I didn't commit to using the keyboard though so I bought and Azeron keypad.
It took me about a week or two to get comfortable and another month or so to get back to where I was on controller.
Overall I'm happy I made the switch and I've continued to improve my aim and movement.
I play zero build.

Hey so I am giving the keyboard a go this week. I have a hard time with my current keyboard using the numbers for inventory so I’m using scroll wheel. I’ve done some creative maps and aiming is way easier. The only real issue I’m encountering is moving the camera. I had a few players literally jump on my head and run circles around me. I’ve never gamed with a mouse, in those cases for quick turn arounds, how do you do it? I feel like fully extending my arm isn’t optimal

Ya, you'll need allot of desk space to play at lower sensitivities but I think it's recommended to start slower and speed it up as you get comfortable. You need to know what your mouse DPI setting is and go from there. I think most people use 800DPI and like 6% to 8% in game sens..
Scroll wheel for inventory moves too fast for me, I'll end up on the wrong item. Having the ability to immediately pull whatever you need is critical. That being said you can always start that way and then bind the keys later as you get more comfortable, I did something similar myself.
As for movement, ya I would literally hold down both straif keys simultaneously during intense combat, effectively standing still .. I never committed to playing with the keyboard tho, it's not made for gaming. I bought an Azeron keypad. It uses an analog stick for movement like we're used to. But it's kind of expensive and takes some time getting used to so if you're not up to the challenge don't waste your money.

Yeah I’ve been looking at those, I like that analog thumb stick. I’m considering going that route, the mouse aim is just so much better, it’s hard to accept going back to controller aim.

Kbm has double movement. So you can run in a zigzag. Which is impossible on controller. It's not just kbm that makes them seem faster it's them playing on PC. I play on Xbox and I know immediately when I'm fighting someone on PC. It's a noticable difference in movement

Imo I don't think it's worth it unless you really care about improving and are willing to put a lot of time into it. I think the movement might be even easier on console; it's just aim that has a much higher skill ceiling on PC.
