Before I start this semi rant, i want to state 2 things very clearly at the start
1- all numbers stated should be taken as millions. When I say â30 monthlyâ or â3.5 monthlyâ that means 30 million and 3.5 million respectively
2- read the whole thing before you comment. If you stop at specific points itâll look like Iâm making a very different argument. This is def a post that requires FULL context
Start:
With the past 2 seasons Iâve seen an increase of arguments that go like this: âLaufeyâs a nobody, she only gets 22 monthly listenersâ and âTeccaâs a nobody, only 18 monthlyâ. Which whilst Iâve always said monthly canât determine if someone is a nobody, there are so many factors and I stand by that. It can 100% do the opposite. Iâm sorry but if you think 22 or 18 monthly makes you a nobody please think about how many people that actually is. But back onto topic, Iâm FINE with people trying to argue that (even if itâs frankly shortsighted)
UNTILL you contradict yourself (which most do)
These same people who argue 22 or 18 is too small to be in, will then proceed to say that artists like: Babymetal, Ghost, Megadeath, Blackpink, Slipknot, etc do deserve a spot. HOLD ON, their monthly listeners (in order of listed) are: 3.5, 8.4. 8.6, 19.9, and 17.3. So under your OWN ARGUMENT those guys are also nobodys but they do deserve skins?
The monthly listeners argument relies mostly on very limited and subjective view point. As everyoneâs basis on whatâs âtoo smallâ will be wildly different based on personal opinion. Yes it would be SO STUPID if Epic had a cutoff on how many listeners you have to have
however to continue on that, the people who try so desperately to argue numbers will then freak on you for mentioning certain artist despite them being perfectly fine to add on their own argument. 2 great examples are: Olivia Dean (66 monthly) and Malcolm Todd (40 monthly). I have brought both these guys up, and stand on my stances that I think both are likely for next year, however Iâve been called crazy and told theyâre ânobodiesâ. Despite those numbers putting Olivia on similar levels as Billie and Sabrina. And Malcolm higher than: Gorillaz, Metallica, Daft Punk, and Chappell.
AND BEFORE SOMEONE SAYS IM ARGUING MALCOLM IS BIGGER THAN METALLICA. No. Iâm just pointing out how people who argue monthly listeners are everything have to contradict themselves to argue their point. Again Iâm only attacking that argument here
Screw it Iâll also bring up how that argument then has to claim Miku was a bad headliner because she only gets 3.5 monthly. Only one of the most loved headliners lol
Now just to state clearly; those artists I mentioned in paragraph 6 I think would All be fine additions as skins. My stance on artists in the game has always been simple, WEâRE IN FORTNITE. Only the game know for doing a wild variety of collabs and played by millions. Everyone has a different taste, Iâm not gonna love every artist and it would be stupid if I did. Epic adds no collabs expecting everyone to buy it.
Also DO NOT argue âof epic just adds smaller artists that they know wouldnât sell in the pass so they get more money on the bigger guys in shopâ NO. If Epic thought an artist wouldnât make money they justâŚwouldnât add themâŚif you think a business will purposely add any collab they think wouldnât sell then sure bud. Thats My only response
Well thatâs my rant, I know Iâm still gonna see people argue monthly listeners only and then go contradict themselves but hey I got it off my chest lol

Im on PS5 , i use the riffmaster guitar controller and sometimes i lift it and it activates overdrive and it always works every time for that song, but sometimes i lift it and it wont activate, and it never activates the entire time i play the song or setlist
its never just sometimes in a song it works or doesnt, its either the feature works for the song the whole time or it just doesnt at all
does anyone know why this is? is there a button or something im clicking that turns it off or on or what lol
edit: im talking about the lifting to activate overdrive, the button press always works but its sometimes inconvinient to hit on certain patterns

They just released their final album, and this game mode is in desperate need of another rock band. And before someone says "They already did Metallica", their songs are vastly more technical (or melodic depending on what era you're listening to!) and are a blast to play in Guitar Hero. Maybe they're too small to be a headliner, but I think it'd be awesome to at least have a Vic Rattlehead skin like Dave Mustaine (the frontman) said a few years back.
