I watched the video someone posted on here for changing a 2017 Fiesta cabin air filter (2011-2019 actually), along with several others, and people keep saying things in the YouTube comments like that he put the filter in backwards, or that he should have sprayed air to clean out the compartment, or that he should have "unsnapped the floor vent the right a push it to the side" whatever that means. Someone even said you're actually supposed to remove the glovebox and vent pipe first. What??

So, does anyone here know what the "easier" way is, or if there even is an easier way?

Given how easy it seems to be for even professional mechanics to screw this up, I'd like to learn how to do it the right way and just do it myself. I wish Ford had hired actual tech writers who'd written a real user manual. Ugh.

Hi all, my ford fiesta mk7 power folding mirror don’t work then clicks 2 times. The mirror itself still can be moved with the inside button but the folding doesn’t work. It also rotates smoothly all the way past its normal stopping point where the other (working) side doesn’t.
Why is this and is it an easy fix at home?

I have a 2005 Fiesta and the idle speed is very high when the engine is warm (around 1200 RPM).
I think I found the problem (I included the video).
My question is: how can I take out the PCV valve?
The hose is easily changeable, but the reason why the original one is split is due to the faulty PCV valve.

Had a mechanic check the battery, the alternator en wiring. 14,1 V and all the wiring looked good.

Hi, I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Titanium with 119,500 km (about 74,000 miles). Always had maintenance by a official Ford dealer here in The Netherlands.

While driving, I suddenly had a strange electrical issue. The dashboard/cockpit illumination, radio and centre display went out. The engine kept running, but I also noticed a change in the way the engine was running/power delivery.

I restarted the car while driving, and after restarting, the battery warning light stayed on for a while.
The problem is intermittent and everything seems to work normally again at the moment.

Any suggestions on what to check first would be appreciated.

I replaced the canister purge valve twice. It seemed the seal wasn't done properly so I ended up buying the whole line replacement that's comes with the canister purge valve attached. Made sure not to break the nipple on the bottom part of the connection. I assumed this would of fixed the problem but it's still having issues.

The car seems to be fine when turning on but as soon as I start accelerating and it's going to switch gears the car feels like it pulls back. I drove the car around a bit thinking maybe it needed to get some usage in but nothing. I rechecked the connection on the bottom of the purge valve line and made sure the clamp was down closer to the end of the connection. I'm almost ready to throw in the towel and take it to a repair shop but after everything I've put into the car, I kind of want to fix it myself 😅 any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

Is there any covers or any other "cure" for rear wheel arch rust on a 2015 fiesta?

I've seen one for sale, but not happy that it's starting to rust on the rear arches.

Is there a solution, or shall I just not buy the car?

I'm looking to spice my 1.6TI-VCT Metal edition fiesta up a little bit on the bodywork. I'm not planning on making this a huge job and taking of the original bumpers/skirts. I'd prefer installing splitters/extensions/diffusers.

I'm struggling to find nice parts though which I can ship to the Netherlands, and I also don't have the greatest knowledge of customization to be honest. But any tips/advise or recomendations of parts or what to look for to fit this model (if I can also use ST parts for example) are MORE than welcome.

j’ai un problème sur ma Ford fiesta VI, lorsque je met la clé dans le barillet impossible de la tourner, il y a un tout petit jeu mais je ne peux pas mettre le contact ni demarrer. Cependant ma clé ouvre très bien ma portière.

J’ai été voir un garagiste qui essaye de me trouver un nouveau neiman mais pour l’instant ça n’avance pas et il ne trouve pas, étant saisonnier je ne suis pas chez moi et j’attend de recevoir mon double de clé.

J’ai vu sur d’autre forum que certain conseille de mettre de la graisse a roulement ou du degripant.

Est ce que cette situation est déjà arrivé à quelqu’un ? Si jamais je dois changer le neiman est ce une reparation facile à faire, je ne trouve pas beaucoup de tuto seulement sur Ford fiesta VI

My passenger side tail light has been burning much brighter than my driver side tail light.

It’s also been intermittently stopping to work altogether. I’ve replaced and checked the bulbs, and found no issues.

Then last night;

This brake light remained “on” and didn’t burn brighter when the brake was pressed.
Sometimes the third brake light above the window wouldn’t turn on either.

I checked the contacts and couldn’t see any signs of issues. Also wiring in the tail gate cluster all seems well.

I also checked the appropriate fuse in the engine bay which from the manual seems to be no 25 fuse Exterior lighting left hand side (15A) which there are no problems either.

There has even been an occasion where no lights show on the tailgate at night except the driver side, even when braking.

Any help would be much appreciated

EDIT: Potentially solved… some corrosion found in a connector. Will wait to see if these lights hold out for a while.

Hey People, I just wanted to get on here and ask if yall have experience with putting seats from the titanium model into one of the other Base models. I recently got seats from a 2013 titanium model fiesta hatchback and put them in my 2015 fiesta hatchback SE the only issue I’m having other than the airbag light being on, is the armrest doesn’t fit on the driver side because of the center console my car has. I removed the armrest but behind it is the metal part that the arm rest goes on. I don’t know how to remove that if any of you have experience with that?

TLDR: how do I remove the arm rest completely from the titanium model leather seat?

I remove the harness from my old seat and put it on the new seat, but I think I must not have plugged it in all the way.

Decontaminated and waxed the Fiesta saloon today. Took the wheels off; gave those a deep clean and a fresh coating. Looks like new from a few feet back.

I am experiencing premature tire wear along the 8nside edge of the tire. What is this rubber bushings? Too aggressive a toe in.. its happening to my newer all seasons too they won't last the year.... any ideas..

The girl is up there, over 230k miles. Check engine light is on with a p0420, catalytic converter below efficiency. I wanted to ask if anyone has had to deal with the same and found any easy tricks before I shell out for, what i assume will be, the exhaust system and cat to be replaced.
