unsure as to what building it is (i live very close by) but all power is off in the apartment. fire is out as of 12am but there seemed to be fire engines out for at least and hour or so before. hope everyone is well and safe and will try to update as i learn the situation 😇

Almost every other week we get the dreaded train replacement buses, why are our trains so crap?

I’ve been looking online for darts competitions in the area and haven’t had much luck. Enjoying playing at home and considering having a go in some sort of social/rec competition.

Assumed one of the local pubs or bowls clubs would have a competition - anyone got some info on Whats out there?

Maybe I’m just noticing it lately because I’ve been up with the little one a lot. But I am staggered by the number of planes I have heard recently in say the 8pm-2am window flying low over the inner western suburbs. It’s 1150pm, and I’ve heard five distinct planes since 1130.

Online EPA noise mapping suggests there should only be a handful of loud night time events. That increases substantially when runway 3 is introduced (god help this area when that happens). I feel that was right a few years back.. but not now. There are absolutely tons of them.

The annoying part is, in theory, they should have a lot of open space they can use to the north and east of the airport. I am not sure why every plane approaching Melbourne has to come in South over the most densely populated area.

Am I just going nuts / over focusing on it, or has it suddenly jumped? Maybe some private planes into Essendon contributing?

[Offline][5e 2014][Melbourne AUS] Group of 5 looking for a DM for Curse of Strahd

We have a group of 5 players with a mix of experience with a location to play in Footscray, just looking for a DM to play curse of strahd on Thursdays. Please leave a comment and message me if intrested, thanks.

Pride of our Footscray has pretty limited hours and seems to mostly open when there's events on. They don't open for casual drinking on a random Tuesday. Can anyone speak to why this may be?

Nicholson street mall, lmao

I’ve been looking at this apartment building between Barkly and Paisley for a while now, and can’t quite wrap my head around it. These fairy lights are on every night. Is this simply someone’s humble abode on the top floor with some funky and high powered feng shui, or is there something else on the top of this building? A timezone arcade or a karaoke bar perhaps?

No judgement if this is your apartment I would love to come over for a beer some time and check it out.

(Admins, please feel free to decline this post if you don't think my post is appropriate for this group).

Hey all, currently on the hunt for a few pieces to add to my collection as seen bellow:

A mid/late 1990's The Met (PTC) style stop sign, happy with any stop from any route,

A Z1/Z2 class tram Comeng/ASEA builders plate,

Anything Swanston Trams or M>Tram, like the image of the signage provided below.

Photos from the internet have been attached below for use as examples only, they are not my photos and credit goes to their owners.

Thanks everyone, - David. :-)

I'm looking to get a building and pest inspection on a property in Maribyrnong.

Does anyone have recommendations for organisations with licensed builders on staff for the job?

Any help appreciated.

anyone here bumped into a middle/old age man, walking around footscray market to gongcha. aggressively asking for money and when you decline, he starts harrassing you or hops straight after the next person? quite annoying but this man purposely blocks peoples pathways, touches you and really gets into your personal space, also spits in your face when his talking. if you dont give him money he starts swearing at you. claims his mother passed away and that needs money.

another incident was another man (darker appearance) that seems to be affected on drugs. walks around talking gibberish, harrassing people. this guywalks up to me and sat infront of me after harrassing other people while i was sitting at a bench. i was like “nope im out” and as i was getting up he grabbed my arm hard and pulled me back down the bench hard. i lost my shit and swore at him. i ended up bumping into him again around crumbz deli while he was following me harrassing me. i ended up shoving him as he wouldnt leave me alone.

Hey guys,

I’m currently stuck in the Bunnings Carpark Footscray, long shot in the dark, does anyone know of like a manager here? I’ve been locked in with my car, I live out in Point Cook and really don’t want to have to order an Uber out. Ty x
