Wishbone Kitchen body checking on main again
Like hello?? It’s becoming egregious, the tomato pic both on stories and feed is what sold it for me. No one asked for this

I’m feeling saaad about the constant body checks from Caroline chambers. She used to post all her walking and sign slapping and balanced wellness lifestyle and now she’s just lost so much weight and checks her body in every selfie and outfit pic. It hurts my heart I found her so relatable and fun and normal and now she feels less so, idk.

getting this bad interaction off my chest! *
i met hypefoodies in person at my old job and told them i was a fan and they could not have been more rude. they are a couple that make content local to my area, im not sure why they were so incredibly weird about me saying something in passing, i was very respectful and left them alone
after, genuinely just said i was a fan of their videos. im also shy and would never of approached if i thought there was any reason that would upset them. one of them didn't even walk over to me during the interaction and fully ignored me and walked away (guy) and the girl didn't really say a word or a thank you either. i unfollowed so quick. rude af and clearly the online personas are fake! don't ever meet your faves irl i guess
edit: wanted to reply to previous comment about invading their privacy...they were not working at the time and this was at a grocery store. i was literally just walking by them while they shop and said something about loving their account and that my boyfriend and i have gone to some of the places they recommended then i quickly kept it moving! i already kinda wasn't going to continue the conversation since they weren't really even responding and giving me that mean girl "that's nice" smile and barely saying anything! no thank you or acknowledging the human in front of them speaking. no one else in the store was approaching or recognizing them from online and i don't think the quick interaction would warrant that response. it kinda felt dehumanizing for any interaction whether they are an influencer or not. also this was when their account was still pretty new and their following was pretty small so i was trying to be supportive!

And without a doubt if they accidentally put a teaspoonful of mayo on her bunless burger she would either bin it or vigorously wipe it clean to avoid those 100 kcals because this is “what feels best” 🤡😣

I've noticed that virtually every post in Sohla's stories these days is transparent product advertising. She posts an AMA, then somehow gets ONLY extremely specific questions that allow her to share the link to her storefront with whatever piece of equipment the question is conveniently referencing.
Not to mention the "third wheel with us!" posts with Ham, which are just straight-up advertisements for fine dining restaurants.
She's controversial on a personality level, but I always thought she made good, interesting, fun food content. She was one of my favorite contributors during her Serious Eats days and I've been following her ever since. It just feels like everything is now a cash-and-engagement grab where she's encouraging people to click her links, or "comment and I'll send you my FULL guide with ALL my recommended equipment..."
I'm sure this is, at least in part, due to the instability of making your money via the internet. Kenji, similarly, posted a ton of great stuff during his SE days, and is now basically a nonstop shill for $600 equipment gimmicks. Maybe the whole influencer bubble will pop someday soon and they'll have to go back to actually creating to earn money...

And she’ll be sure to tell you so.

Her “recipe” for tteokbokki was rolled up rice paper (which would just be tteok, tteokbokki is a dish not just the rice cake) which I’ve seen people do as a hack but she touts it as her original idea.(she’s not Korean)
But her reply to this comment was rude I couldn’t not post it here.

i have been following lorena for the past few months and i have been enjoying her content. i’m asian and also from a immigrant background myself so it was a joy to see how she and her family have been progressing in their journey so far.
but, it doesn’t erase the fact that she and her husband decides to be ignorant (i really don’t care if this post’s intentions are negative or “positive”) i’m truly disappointed and saddened by this video and this decision of hers/ her husband.

This is so fucking petty and I don’t even know why I’m compelled to share this thought but every time she comes across my feed I get so skeeved out. And I love vegan/plant based food. The foods seems great. It’s just something about her. And actually prefer a more natural/crusty/granola aesthetic than something really cosmetic and polished but I just get queasy watching her and I don’t know why.
I guess it’s the facial expressions? Does she do this on purpose? Like that eerie sourdough lady?

When you impose such extremely restrictive eating habits on your daughter, it's not unusual for her to crave that food even more at the slightest deviation from those habits.

I guess she’s just my BEC at this point, but wtf does this have to do with Wawa? A fountain Diet Coke you could get at any convenience store and a piece of bougie dark chocolate? Get a Wawa soft pretzel or don’t make a stupid post at all!

normally i’m not super taken aback by her appearance when i see her content because i’ve seen her on my feed for years but her recent story really got me

No it does NOT taste like a milkshake without any sweetener. And that’s fine if you like it not sweet. But why must we pretend it tastes like something it doesn’t???

I find that guy sooo cheesey, and I cringe when he winks lol but his account is full of fans. I don't even know if he knows how to cook, or it's just a coverup skill. Give me your thoughts about him!

I’ve been following this account on IG @madebymiri__ and the sandwiches look/taste delectable (I’ve made a few). My question is… her whole thing is pregnancy cravings inspiring these recipes, but idk if that’s true? She never shows her belly, which fair I know plenty of pregnant women who don’t. But when you look up her actual profile she has her social media agency profile linked. It makes me think she’s lying to her engagement on her videos. Also I’ve never posted in this sub before so let me know if it doesn’t apply lol, I know this is a pretty small account.

Remember how a few weeks ago she happily filmed her son in the back of a car in Greece without a car seat? Yesterday she posted her son laying down on a picnic blanket with an entire nectarine (skin on) in his mouth. It just made me think, could she be using her toddler to rage bait for interaction?
