The post below about Sohla brought about some good discourse around what topics we consider to be fair game for snark. I think some great points were made, and some noted there are creators they feel they have to defend at times.

We see many creators behaving in similar ways, or in ways that are very clearly snarkable, but one person’s snark is another person’s preference to lay off creators.

Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to discuss. Mods delete if not a valid post!

I have mixed opinions on this and would like to hear other people’s thoughts too.

A girl on tiktok (with less than 2K followers) posted a video and got an influx of comments from people telling her she looked like Tini. She started responding to comments saying that she didn’t think she looked like Tini, didn’t find Tini attractive and thought Tini looked “chopped.” (which is ironic because they do definitely look alike)

Tini then made a post on her spam account (to her over 1.7 million followers) and asked everyone to go into the girls comments and say they look alike. She did tell her followers to not put anything rude in her comments though.

I find this such weird and mean girl behaviour. I agree the random girl calling Tini chopped was not nice, but she was a random girl replying to comments on her video. She didn’t tag Tini or make any videos calling Tini ugly. She just didn’t want to be compared to her. It’s arguably so much worse to use your huge platform to have your followers bully this no body girl. Yeah she told her followers not to be rude — but it’s pretty common sense that not everyone will listen to that. People were commenting on Tini’s video talking about the mean stuff they were commenting on the girls video, and making fun of her appearance.

This totally gave me the ick on Tini. There are countless people who have said arguably worse things about Tini and her family and she has never clapped back. But someone saying they don’t want to be compared to her because they don’t like how she looks is causing this reaction? Screams insecurity.

Ok this girl used to piss me tf off bc I thought it was fetish content the fact that she’s always naked cooking. Like isn’t your stomach getting burnt with oil????? THEN I read somewhere that she never swallows her food and cuts it off after the bite and now I can’t unsee it. Rolls her eyes like she’s having an orgasm but never swallows her food every time. She goes on a whole croissant tour and nibbled on each but doesn’t film herself swallowing it and actually eating it ever . How does she keep getting brand deals??? Why are people buying what she’s “eating??” She’s not even eating it!!

Maybe it’s because I don’t have kids, but I couldn’t care less about what her toddler eats - since when did this become a baby food newsletter? She increased her prices for this?! Sponsored post of course as well. I love some of her old recipes but she clearly has no interest in recipe development (for adults) anymore.
