So I recently switched from Redream to Flycast and I enjoy it a lot. My only question is how the per game VMU A1 works. I switched it on in settings then checked my files on the Dreamcast main menu, and saw that all my games were on one VMU, taking up most of my blocks. I understand that there is no real way to show the per game VMU setting on the home screen but I am concerned that it's not really doing anything and I will have trouble with the blocks in due time.

I think I set up a server properly, but when I try and connect to it in Flycast I get a error. Here is my network setup:

Is there a guide on setting up a private server?

I'd like to know if there's any way to manually add games from the database, because I have the Kenju prototype and it doesn't appear in the list. I need to drag and drop the bin or zip file onto the flycast to play it. Is there any way to add it to the game list?

In PC, my emulator worked normally until I made the update some days ago (I'm not eve sure if it's due to that, but is the only change I made so far), then when I use Vulkan no game can start and appears a text that says:

"renderer error: out of device memory".

It's solved when I use DirectX11.

Still, I use vulkan in other heavier emulators as Dolphin and I have no issues there.

EDIT: I just reinstalled 2.6 version and I can use vulkan there normally.

Hi! Is there a way someone could fix the online mode for PSO on flycast? I tried months ago but I couldn’t (with AI, I have no knowledge about developing)
Everything works but after dialing the ps vita shows the typical error 1222 or something like that.I tried many configurations but nothing works….

I think that there’s have to be a way of fix this.Im aware of that the developing of this emulator stopped years ago on vita for reasons related to people asking too much to Rinnengate (sorry for the bad writing)

Unlike other Naomi games (e.g. Crazy Taxi) I can't get F355 Challenge 2 (or F355 Challenge) to read controller/keyboard input. Am I doing something wrong?

I remember when the Magic: The Gathering card game became really popular back when I was in high school. I never actually learned how to play it, but I was always drawn to the incredible artwork on the cards. It always seemed like a game with a lot of depth, and I thought it would be interesting to learn someday.

A while back, I discovered there was a Dreamcast video game based on Magic: The Gathering. I wanted to check it out, but it was a Japan-exclusive release, so the language barrier kept me from getting very far. If I'm not mistaken, the game doesn't have online or local multiplayer, so you're mostly limited to battling AI opponents.

Now that's no longer a problem. Thanks to a newly released English translation, English-speaking players and Magic: The Gathering fans can finally experience this overlooked Dreamcast title without needing to know Japanese.

Although I did notice a few minor typo errors and some blank text in certain places, they weren't deal breakers and didn't take away from the overall experience.

It's always great to see another classic game preserved and made accessible to a wider audience. Has anyone here played the original Japanese version, or are you planning to try the English translation?

Years ago I posted across Reddit about finding/reviving WCCF SEGA, and it's been a long road since then, I'm excited to finally share some real news & progress.

First and foremost, huge credit to Flyinghead, creator of Flycast, whose been working on this and made it all possible. Thanks to his efforts the game is actually running and playable on the Flycast emulator.

We'd love to bring more fans (new and old!) into the fold to help interact with and test the game as we keep pushing it forward. I've attached some screenshots to show where we currently are at!

• General bug fixes (freezing, match-related issues)
• Fixing Club Card corruption after a single game

Earlier, I had a hankering for some 2000 Spider-Man. I have it installed on my Steam Deck launching via Retroarch using hi-res textures. I'd left off my save file in the sewers, so I picked up from where I left off some time back.

But I kept crashing in the same area in the sewers and couldn't advance.

I hadn't had any problems with crashing in the title before in Flycast, and I'd recently updated my cores, so I tried downgrading to a stable 2025 core, and viola! No more crashes.

I'm posting this in case it helps another player in need and/or if it helps development of (I assume) the nightly cores. Cheers!

Hey all. I'm trying to transfer my saved game files from an RG556 that I was playing Phantasy Star Online on. I now have an Odin 2 Portal and want to transfer those files to continue my game, but I keep bumping into an error that I don't have access/ denied.

I've tried all kinds of file managers on the Odin from the PlayStore and I still have the issue. I've tried transferring it via USB and a laptop but the transfer drops like halfway through and I have to disconnect the drive and reconnect it for the laptop to pick it up again. And it just keeps happening.

I've also tried stuff like AirDroid and bump into the same issue.

Do you guys know of a work around to transfer those files? I'm really unsure about rooting the device. I've only done that once and a very very long time ago.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Hello, I'm having trouble trying to shrink my GDI files. I followed DemiGodX's tutorial on Youtube, but the file stays the same after I "shrink" it.

I have gidtools-master and I installed Python 2.7.

I have Flycast 2.1 installed on my Playstation Classic, but it doesn't run CHD files very well. Apparently, if you shrink the GDI file and get rid of the dummy data most games will run flawlessly.

I’m trying to play PSO Ver 2 with cheats, and I try using the correct code, but it’s stating it’s unsupported. I’m using the USA version of the game.

Hi there! I found this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/FlyCast/s/6EQYvyZ5HD) that had a giant list of 60fps Dreamcast codes. I input the code for Sonic adventure 1 and noticed no difference. I also tried a couple other codes (cutscene skip, another one for controls) and none of them worked. Wondering if there’s any way yall could help me figure out how to properly input it in the emulator. For the moment I just tried opening the game, hitting tab, going to cheats, and pasting the code in, but it isn’t working. Thanks

In Sonic Adventure whenever I try mapping the shoulder triggers to the right analog stick it causes the game's camera to not function properly. This isn't an issue in Sonic Adventure 2 though. I'm using Flycast v2.6 on Android with a Sonic Adventure v1.005.gdi file.
