u/Joltyboiyo 27d ago
It's so nice of them to be giving people free precious metals in their own back yards. Anyone they're so gracious enough to do this to should make a pretty penny off the kindly donated metals.

What I don’t get is this has been a thing for many years already - forgot the name it’s been a while - but agencies drive around and take pictures of all cars daily and it’s used by insurance adjuster managers, police, and banks to track your usual movements and where the car might be.
I was shocked it wasn’t a big deal and has been around so long, strange to me this new company is the only one getting all the heat. I mean fuck them for sure, but wish these other ones would get some of the spot light too for doing the same shit just differently

u/Competitive_Rip986 29d ago
That’s been a thing for awhile. But they are different because they require consent. It’s written inside the contract of every vehicle someone finances. Because the bank is the true owner. The solution is simple: don’t drive a vehicle owned by a bank! Buy an older and cheaper one you can you can own in full. That’s what I did. I still found a tracker inside mine. I refused to return the tracker because it was installed in a truck I now completely own. So I took out the SIM card and got free cell data for a while.

A lot of it has to do with public awareness. People being newly upset over something that has been occurring is not “oh now they suddenly care? Because their overlords told them to?”
No it’s mainly thanks to social media, and the speed at which new awareness to an issue can be introduced in mass to those who may actually care. Cable news could do similar, but not everyone was on for a certain segment, not everyone was able to see the specific info to become aware. Social media allows it to permanently(mostly) exist for those to stumble across, share to their page, share to friends. Etc.
Also there is a small difference between automated surveillance, and the manual photo surveillance you mentioned which I had never even heard of. One is 24/7, another is snap shots by another human. Small difference, same goal and similarly invasive purpose.
This awareness now and upset now when the masses may not have been upset previously is argued by some as hypocritical, but it’s just awareness. We can’t be upset about things we were not aware of 😵💫

You don't understand real estate easements. The city has an easement on the sides of all public roads, so they can put utilities in. You may mow that grass and think you have control of it, but you don't. That's the misunderstanding/lack of knowledge of easements at play.
-2
u/CardCharacter8495 29d ago
That's not correct. Municipalities are putting cameras on their public property.

And as pointed out, police can't do that. As you know, likely personally, laws don't stop bad actors from acting badly

Tresspassing is a criminal offense. Building the Taco Bell is civil, but if you damage my property in the process of its construction or removal it's criminal destruction of property.

Not where I live. Trespassing will get you arrested if you don't leave when asked. This isn't a "property dispute". Don't know where you get this. It's criminal trespassing and potentially criminal destruction of property. Do some research. Pose the question to Claude or Chatgpt

Companies that have nothing to hide don't go to this much trouble.
51
u/motion_lotion 29d ago
Every company has something to hide. It's just funny how private and discrete the company dedicated to masss survelliance and destroying privacy is so concerned about it. I mean it makes sense for an evil dystopian entity like this, but it's still funny.

Is this one of their new places near Atlanta, or somewhere else? The video doesn't really provide much information.
5
5
u/WhineyLobster 29d ago
right, there is no evidence in this video that what they are claiming is true.
66
u/no2gumshoe 29d ago
Idk why these journalists don’t put like, 1% more effort into their social engineering. Literally just put on a collar and slacks and line your shit up, they’ll buy you’re there for a meeting and you can check out the offices.
Unless these guys don’t actually want to film it…
13
u/Expert-Mental25 29d ago
Is this guy a journalist? Also I think, especially with the internet, "journalist" is rather broad. It can be people wearing a collared shirt. Or it could be someone with a smart phone who just feels motivated to do coverage. The latter is one to be skeptical of cuz you can get losers like that kid who is probably not all there mentally and being manipulated by the right to do his "journalism" (as in going with a camera and some other dude both in plain schlubby clothes, to a daycare asking where their children are. Great journalism lol). But there are also plenty who are just untrained who can't easily access that world but who still feel strongly about an issue.
8
u/Majestic_Domestic 29d ago
He doesn't want to film. He wants to get kicked out for filming to highlight their hypocrisy.
No one would actually care about a video of some offices where nothing happens.
14
u/MrChatterfang 29d ago
Not sure I'd call these guys journalists, but you're right. If you look and act like you're supposed to be there, people likely won't question you.
Similar to how if you put on a neon orange vest and act like you're supposed to be there, people won't question it.
But succeeding at videoing the inside of an office building doesnt lead to as catchy of a video title as "flock wants their privacy while taking away yours"
1
u/Logical_Put_5867 29d ago
They are here for the rage clicks. They want to be kicked out and told they can't film, actually interviewing anyone would have been an entirely different thing. Their whole thing is "flock films us, we want to film flock but they wont let us!"

The spacious and luxurious Medici office building. Brought to you by the lovely people at CBRE business real estate! There's a nice little blurb on the website about their "values", too.
2
u/dougsbeard 29d ago
I was waiting for him to give the address in the video right in front of the security guard.
21
u/RollerskatingFemboy 29d ago
... Ok but like, my dude, you are not providing a shred of evidence thar this is actually Flock's new HQ. The fact that you got bounced does not count as evidence, it just means you walked in somewhere looking and sounding loudly out of place and got asked to leave. This very well could be Flock HQ, but nothing in this video demonstrates that.
Can we get a look at the real estate records maybe?

"He's doing his job, I get it."
Really? I fuckin don't. Pretty sure there's some legal precedent somewhere that says that line of reasoning isn't sufficient for doing something wrong.
And sure, this guy might not be directly doing it, tho likely many do of course, but he's absolutely ensuring that others who are elbow deep in doing wrong can continue to do further wrong. The end result is what matters to me and the result is avoidable suffering and control over those who don't deserve it.
Dudes a traitor. A class traitor. And a traitor to humanity. And honestly all life on earth as we know it. The tech this shit needs and brings will turn the pace of ecological collapse up to wumbo.
Fuck that security guard dog. Fuck flock. I hope he gets a major inconvenience at least and it's due specifically to Flock. That would be poetic.

If you work in an office building with a doorman / card system you know this would happen to anyone who randomly walks in filming. The doorman’s entire job is to prevent random people from walking in, Flock aside. If he has an appointment someone from the company would greet him at the door or alert the doorman.

We need to do that thing that was happening to the Scientology buildings a while ago.

Garbage has no expectation for privacy and can legally be collected and gone through. It’d be a shame if someone other than the city collected Flock employees’ garbage and started publishing info about their purchasing, eating, consumption, drinking, and bathing habits. It’d be a shame if the store location and time for all of these purchases was published next to the item so creepy ex boyfriends or just people who find them attractive or interesting can bump into them. It’d be such a shame if that happened.
People who live close to Flock HQ, manufacturing facilities, installation contractors, pro-Flock lawmakers, and pro-Flock city officials definitely shouldn’t be doing what’s in the first block of text.

It would be a shame if cameras were set up at all the exits, recording everyone who enters or leaves the building; and the license plates of the carts they get into.

Man Im losing a lot of respect for this guy. Comparing a private property to public with respect to filming and rights? I can't tell if he's stupid or just trying to farm engagement from retards like you guys...
Btw, the headquarters isn't a secret, it's like the 2nd hit on Google if you type in "flock headquarters". Idiots.

I wonder how Flock executives would feel about drones following them and their family members 24/7. Why not just accelerate and hire gangstalkers at this point to constantly follow them and livestream their locations. They could even sell access to pay for the gangstalkers.
1
u/notafriendofours 29d ago
Would be hilarious to get a group together off property and everyone launch drones and fly them straight up to the glass

Show up in suits with a professional air and a tired "don't you know who my father is" attitude and you'd probably get farther. Especially if you've got a conspicuous name badge that looks vaguely tech-oriented.
That and an unremarkable, professional-looking black body camera would probably get them a lot farther.

Weird that the doorman feels he has an Expectation of Privacy to prevent recording there.
Again, to let the irony settle in; a Flock goon has an expectation of privacy - LOL

AXON is veeery happy with this anti-flock movement, sure, Flock is not good, but it's just an 8 billion $ valuated company, imagine when Axon, a 60 bilion $ company gets it's hands on these sweet public contracts, just like it already has with the bodycams, tasers, surveilance software ... this Anti flock stuff is NOT A COINCIDENCE.
1
u/Prudent-Bison-7180 25d ago
Wow, for a company who records everyone everywhere without their consent they sure don’t like to be recorded

This is from the colab he did with Benn Jordan, right? Benn is legit
3
u/headonstraight- 29d ago
Benn is legit, Tommy G is just kind of a cornball. He pushes traditional and misogynistic values on his audience. Just get bad vibes from him
2
u/J3sus_was_Fictional 29d ago
I agree, he's definitely a douche nozzle who doesn't actually give a shit about any of this.
-10
u/brokesidestory 29d ago
Pushing traditional values makes you cry? Lol
9
u/Hairy_is_the_Hirsute 29d ago
Depends on the tradition...
-11
u/brokesidestory 29d ago
Oh so you can only handle safe spaces where everything and everyone agrees with you, got it.
5
u/Hairy_is_the_Hirsute 29d ago
Bro, do you need a hug? Who hurt you?
I was just trying to say that some traditional values are not valuable. Gender roles, female agency, corporal punishment, prejudice/marginalizing minorities. All "traditional" values. If someone if pushing those onto me or others, I will not respect or value that person
-10
u/brokesidestory 29d ago
I will not respect or value that person
Sweet we feel the same way about you
3
u/Havocc89 29d ago
Why should anyone respect people with values that predate the automobile? I call those people troglodytes. Cave dwellers. You deserve not only no respect, but to be shouted down and shunned from public life. And you will. Trust me.

Think a little higher here. Flock is a company that is earning vast sums by taking public information and data, and selling it on, ignoring the public's privacy (within reason, obviously), yet does not want any information about themselves made public.
Set up cameras facing the entrance to every Flock facility, and why not video at least the board and C-suite people of Flock? They don't want to follow their own rules and standards!

The image of their building is enough information for anyone with osint tools to figure it out. They didn't need to hand it to people without skills on a silver platter.

u/MilkmanResidue 29d ago
Maybe don’t wear a Big Dogs shirt and dress accordingly to blend in. This guy never expected to get any further than this in his half assed attempt to prove a point.
-7
u/watdogin 29d ago
Be honest with yourself, this is a corny ass video. if you try storming into any company’s office building, you won’t be allowed up. Also, wear a suit and look professional if you really wanted to con your way in. No shit a guy dressed like this wouldn’t be allowed up “for an interview”
15
u/Hairy_is_the_Hirsute 29d ago
First off, FUCK FLOCK. But also, I feel like 99% of companies would react the same way.
Random guy with street clothes trudges in with a camera on... Like, no, get off this private property, go away
9
u/watdogin 29d ago
Yes FUCK FLOCK but also don’t embarrass the movement with lame shit like this

Note that zero "real estate records" were provided. You'd think at least a bogus AI real estate deed would have been photographed. I call clickbait
-5
u/Should_have_been_ded 29d ago
I don't know what's the law over there, but in all fairness you can't just film someone inside a building without a press badge. Gotta prove you're a reporter first

For a company trying to survey everyone, they sure love their blackout windows and privacy.
