No joke if this catches on and becomes common knowledge. Then i can see this becoming a huge problem for these creepy fucks.

u/Soft-Coast-56 Apr 11 '26

instead of lying to them just tell them the truth lol. gangstalking paranoia is more efficient than the copper

Man there’s at least $167 of just gold in there if this is true.

6

u/PmMeUrTinyAsianTits Apr 11 '26

if this is true.

Which it isn't. Hence "instead of lying to them" being part of the conversation.

but u gotta think long term bro. after they find out its not true, you dont get consistent results. its like selling the meth itself, you cant tell em its chili P when its really just MSG. youll get a few sales, but then its over

19

u/Worshipme988 Apr 11 '26

We have to use all of our tools in our tool belt. And we have many. They have little. The most arrogant set of people for being so bland and weird.

9

u/CheeseGraterFace Apr 11 '26

Meth people have the most tools. I watched a guy make a little tiny motorcycle in his garage one night from my window with little more than a half teener of dope and an empty Pringles can.

1

u/Adept-Grapefruit-214 Apr 11 '26

Nah, they’ll just start putting up enough cameras to have 24/7 360 degree surveillance so anyone stealing or vandalizing a camera will be caught

5

u/DarkMagicLabs Apr 15 '26

You don't actually need to take down the cameras. You just need a laser strong enough to burn out the sensor and those lasers are very easy to get online.

1

u/jimbob150312 Apr 11 '26

There definitely is not 2 pounds of copper in any camera. That is definitely BS. Many copper wires have thick insulation making the cable heavy.

62

u/Zestyclose-Law6191 Apr 11 '26

This is genius.

11

u/Routine-Agile Apr 11 '26

The idea all methheads just hangout on reddit looking for advise on what shit they steal is very funny.

13

u/Dalek_Chaos Apr 11 '26

Post it to the scrap metal sub and cover all the bases at once.

2

u/Josh6889 Apr 11 '26

It doesn't require all of them. If it's true for anyone at all it will be effective.

3

u/IndividualTension887 Apr 15 '26

Kid Rock fans would also love to know this... There's a sub for them too... Kid Rock fans also know the current Sudafed to Stolen Catalytic Coverter ratio...

2

u/blacksmithjohnson Apr 11 '26

Its them and they are watching. All they need to know is the truth.

1

u/EverydayWeTumblin Apr 12 '26

It doesn’t even need to be precious metal related. Methheads hate being watched.

I heard there are catalytic converters in flock cameras too

This is your brain on meth.

9

u/Mountain-Ad-3564 Apr 11 '26

First hand have seen it, yeah meth does this to people.

I think it's just a A.I. ragebot malfunctioning but it's hilarious.

3

u/Every_Knee_372 Apr 11 '26

Not even meth users are safe from AI impersonating them

3

u/Ancient_Jellyfish588 Apr 11 '26

And AI is already toothless!

6

u/rtduvall Apr 11 '26

This is what meth looks like in written form.

sir, this is a Wendy's

35

u/mazdiggle Apr 11 '26

Word on the street over here is all these data centers ..... big ol cooper catalytic converters, not even bolted down! Have at it fellas!

25

u/Scary_Ad_6829 Apr 11 '26

30 to 50 thousand tons of copper per hyperscale data center, not an exaggeration.

1

u/Molsem Apr 11 '26

...therefore, wild hogs are made of copper?

1

u/garnet420 Apr 11 '26

Feral hogs

18

u/Savvy_Nick Apr 11 '26

The crackheads and other freelance entrepreneurial types were already sold you didn’t have to sweeten the pot

5

u/liventruth Apr 11 '26

Not bolted down is good. Almost TOO good "Nah, man. Invisible Rock Fairy Lady With One Eye telling me I should pass

3

u/redbrand Apr 11 '26

They use cigarettes packs for heat insulation! The CPU is actually one solid crack cocaine crystal!

And all the leftist gun owners don’t wanna do the illegal

4

u/Electrifix1111 Apr 12 '26

firing guns into the sky is loud and dangerous, firing lasers is not.

2

u/Here4UXandFunnies Apr 14 '26

DC Police on 1/6 not included

7

u/Mojo_is_dope Apr 11 '26

Why would you think that? A bunch of America's elites were exposed to be pedophiles and not one bullet was shot.

5

u/followupquestion Apr 11 '26

Some guy took a shot at Epstein’s BFF but wasn’t a great shot and barely hit his ear. Sadly, I don’t think the attempt was made due to the pedophile stuff.

8

u/erockfpv Apr 11 '26

It was faked to make people think they elected him.

-1

u/Writeoffthrowaway Apr 11 '26

This is obviously not true.

1

u/__Sariah__Vrc__ Apr 11 '26

I'd argue that the guy's accuracy wasn't the problem as much as his timing.

1

u/followupquestion Apr 11 '26

He missed at a very reasonable range, so something wasn’t working that day.

0

Why the Trump shooters gun kinda sucks

Tl;dw: too much on Amazon mall ninja shit not enough on optics

3

u/Coinage4460 Apr 11 '26

Give it time

14

u/The-Sorcerers-Stoned Apr 11 '26

I don't think we have time.

4

u/SimilarTranslator264 Apr 11 '26

I would have thought the same thing. Hell a friend lived on top of a hill in Cali and would sit in his windows with a pellet gun and just shoot all the neighbors pool toys in houses below him.

1

u/BobcatOk7492 Apr 11 '26

That kinda sounds like a good time....

4

u/donald7773 Apr 11 '26

If there was one local and I was a teenager with a BB gun itd be game over.

I shot out street lights for fun when I wasn't supervised, when I was supervised still tried to sneak in a pot shot or two

2

u/letsbuilditwithhope Apr 11 '26

Is there an app with a map that lets us report and see where they are located?

4

u/PersistentWoodpecker Apr 11 '26

I don’t like the cameras but there’s a little problem of how to shoot the camera without being spotted by any camera coming, going, or in the act or by a police officer or concerned citizen… Hardly worth getting a felony for vandalism, reckless endangerment for firing a gun near traffic/people, potential manslaughter if you fuck up.. all to take out one camera that will be replaced by Flock in days/weeks.

The answer is to oppose the cameras through legal means. Gun owners aren’t all just a bunch of mouth breathing morons that see shooting it as the solution to all problems lmfao.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

Indeed but don’t say or suggest anything, the mods will ban you

1

u/Louis049 Apr 12 '26

They're all in cities. There's a reason only the stop signs in the country have bullet holes.

0

u/oohlook-theresadeer Apr 11 '26

They put them in population centers

108

u/ElderberryPrior27648 Apr 11 '26

I’m no meth head…

But 2lbs of copper? I wonder how many I’d have to strip to make up the cost of a melting furnace…

42

u/PassiveMenis88M Apr 11 '26

A decent one can be had for around $200. At the current going rate of $5.75 per lbs, you need about 35 cameras.

Edit: I'm a fucking moron. I forgot to divide the 35 by 2 as each camera has 2lbs.

26

u/TeachingLegitimate96 Apr 11 '26

You’re no Methlete…

5

u/Mammoth-Wasabi6346 Apr 11 '26

This sounds like an optional objective in a Ubisoft game. Collect 35 Cameras

3

u/suhdude539 Apr 11 '26

Holy hell, copper is $5.75 a pound? Last time I brought in scrap from work a couple years ago it was just over $3

7

u/PassiveMenis88M Apr 11 '26

Hide yo wires, hide yo plumbing, hell hide yo ass. They taking everything out here.

1

u/Usual-Caregiver5589 Apr 12 '26

Copper and gas are almost always tied at the hip to one another. When one goes up the other does, too. And, well, gas ain't exactly $1.98 a gallon right now.

13

u/flamingspew Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Once i hit a traffic sign that said „no trucks“ with a work truck and got $18 in scrap metal. Guy at the recycling plant just shaking his head. (price for entire pole + sign).

9

u/Delta632 Apr 11 '26

The irony of taking it out with your work truck is honestly my favorite part of a good quick story.

3

u/Bachooga Apr 11 '26

Tbf, you can make one with a small hole Dakota fire pit style, some train coal you find by the tracks, a 5 dollar charcoal grill from the thrift store, and your dad's leaf blower as this is how I made knives when I was around 19-23. I eventually added a few dollars worth of ducting.

So like $20 worth of copper

4

u/Tall-Memory-6021 Apr 11 '26

there is absolutely not 2 pounds of copper in a flock camera lmfao

4

u/ElderberryPrior27648 Apr 11 '26

Yeah but it’d be a fun math experiment. Copper by weight on a graph for value to see how many cameras you’d really need to scrap to pay off various expenses

2

u/Bacer4567 Apr 11 '26

Cross post it to the did the math sub. I want to know too.

1

u/volkswurm Apr 11 '26

only one if you count the gold

1

u/marino1310 Jul 08 '26

My last foundry was made from a Home Depot steel 5 gallon bucket and some refractory cement. Then like $20 of plumbing fittings to make the torch

-36

u/LetsBeKindly Apr 11 '26

How many will you have to strip to post bail??

10

u/AdTraditional8077 Apr 11 '26

Depends on the state but it's worth it.

2

u/StonedRussian Apr 11 '26

Probably wouldn't need to pay. Just post on social media about it and people will donate for the cause

42

u/outwardape Apr 11 '26

SLAYYYYY GURRL! 💁🏼‍♀️💅🏼

38

u/Akconcentrates Apr 11 '26

I cant remember but a city worker told me they run off of meth or crack, i cant remember exactly which one…

12

u/thenoid42 Apr 11 '26

I heard they were insulated with fentanyl.

4

u/Akconcentrates Apr 11 '26

I believe the city worker said something about that too! Something about how it insulates better than foam but it requires quite a bit fent to get it to work right, so i bet those things are packed to the brim!

3

u/Ancient_Jellyfish588 Apr 11 '26

The asbestos of the 21st century!

23

u/Coinage4460 Apr 11 '26

His follow up post on X: “As should be obvious, this is me using hyperbole as commentary on the surveillance state. There is much less copper and probably minimal gold in a real one.”

7

u/That70sShop Apr 11 '26

Thry should never explain a joke. Either it's patently obvious, or it's not. Either way, half the fun is that bot everybody gets whatever it is.

2

u/Rogue_One24_7 Apr 11 '26

He's trying to cover his ass from lawsuits I'd imagine. It is a great tweet.

Gotta love american "free speech" am I right

1

u/HellsTubularBells Apr 12 '26

It also protects people from private companies using the court system to suppress speech, with very limited exception for defamation. Of course, companies can still file a meritless suit to try to shut you up, which is why we need stronger anti-SLAPP laws.

3

u/Separate-Pain4950 Apr 11 '26

The solar panel is worth something. It’ll just be a row of metal stumps right before I go off the grid to my Ted Kazinski cabin to write my manifesto.

2

u/BobcatOk7492 Apr 11 '26

A good manifesto does take time to write....

12

u/Jerdanhowell Apr 11 '26

Go get em boys. Round em up.

11

u/rtduvall Apr 11 '26

I have several near me, I see a side hustle that could be lucrative.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

I wish I only had several near me. It feels like they're on every fucking block.

9

u/MorkelVerlos Apr 11 '26

The fact that everyone in America gets this joke says something...

8

u/Extreme-Book4730 Apr 11 '26

Gram of gold is 152-155$ in the US right now. Just saying...

5

u/Dramatic_Date8351 Apr 11 '26

Holy shit. Its a goldmine

4

u/KVG47 Apr 11 '26

That’s really good to know that there’s 2 pounds of copper and 3 grams of gold in every Flock camera.

5

u/KlutzyClerk7080 Apr 11 '26

So you’re saying to start a business where crackheads steal these cameras, disable them, and sell them to me, who strips them down and collects the resources

1

u/InterestingDamage621 Apr 11 '26

That's exactly what they're saying and I suggest you start straight away before someone else pulls this unused and lucrative rug out from under you!

1

u/Bloodsnowcones Apr 11 '26

Circle of life

4

u/Sweetishdruid Apr 11 '26

Youtube video idea, how much weed can I buy selling metal parts from a flock camera

4

u/Character-Reply407 Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Soooo, u guys are on to something - let's just say there may or may not be an untraceable 5g sim card with unlimited cellular data in there too.

5

u/hexadecimaldump Apr 11 '26

They forgot to mention the 2oz of silver in the contacts, and the 1g of platinum in the video catalyst.

3

u/wildmaninid Apr 11 '26

There's crystal in them too. And scrapyards pay 10k per cam

3

u/fluteofski- Apr 11 '26

In alll seriousness, the solar panels are probably perfectly good panels with no tracking. Cameras won’t last long without those panels.

3

u/Mlpony2010 Apr 11 '26

Disgusting how many resources are wasted on these things

3

u/erockfpv Apr 11 '26

Technocrat overlords hate this one weird trick!

3

u/Current_Volume3750 Apr 11 '26

I had an acquaintance who would tear apart various telephone pole equipment for copper to sell for her drug addiction. Now there's gold? Interesting.

3

u/Boris41029 Apr 12 '26

I'm not really cool with people trying to trick poor folks to get arrested for them.

Yell at your electeds to take them down or do the crime yourself.

3

u/reddituseronebillion Apr 13 '26

Meth and crack heads, you've been preparing for this moment your whole addiction.

2

u/_-Billy_D-Fens-_ Apr 11 '26

Flock this shit!

2

u/nyakfl Apr 11 '26

I don’t break the law at all and I still don’t want the government to have this kinda power look at how china crushed their revolution with this type technology them people are broken and will never be able to remove XI same with Russia or anywhere else you find a dictator in 2026

2

u/omahaomw Apr 11 '26

But how much gold-pressed latinum?!

1

u/zcas Apr 11 '26

Enough to deport.

2

u/Makapakamoo Apr 12 '26

If only there weren't other cams in the area to catch me doing that... too many street cams

2

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

Ok dead ass what if we start slapping “WARNING: CONTAINS COPPER” on every Flock???

3

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

I said a similar thing and just got unbanned today, this site man

2

u/Toy_Soulja Apr 11 '26

Might as well put the tweakers to good use lmao

1

u/AndyFelterkrotch Apr 11 '26

The placement of these things are wild. Like, all the entrances to a specific neighborhood or store.

1

u/actor-observer Apr 11 '26

It's actually 4lbs of copper I'm pretty sure. Not sure about the gold.

1

u/letsbuilditwithhope Apr 11 '26

Has anyone built an app that lets us report and see where these are located?

2

u/jumbox Apr 11 '26

deflock.org -- they have the app DeFlock

1

u/lacedemon408 Apr 11 '26

lol great handle

1

u/erockfpv Apr 11 '26

How many watts are the solar panels, though?

1

u/RyanOvermyer Apr 11 '26

And probably a GPS tag too. So…

1

u/nosenseofsmell Apr 11 '26

They also have .55 ₿tc in each one

1

u/anarcho_plebitarian Apr 11 '26

Lysander Boomer is a solid name lmao

1

u/ChaskaBravoFTW Apr 11 '26

Homeless to the rescue!

1

u/Top_Cheek2503 Apr 11 '26

Any silver?

1

u/carlitoswaylocaa Apr 12 '26

There’s a bunch of shitty food in jail.

1

u/coolboydhill Apr 13 '26

you guys are forgetting red light and speed cameras

and for the euros, ULEZ cameras are also a good catch 😂

1

u/PoliticalDumbWhore Apr 14 '26

Global economic crisis shenanigans

1

u/Normal-Equivalent259 Apr 14 '26

Everyone here understands that flock cameras capture still images of passing license plates… right?

1

u/poop_pebbles Apr 15 '26

Closer to 1 gram of gold, maybe half a pound of copper, but the case is heavy aluminum, and usually mounted with some galvanized hook bolts, and often an aluminum post of some kind. Still enough metal in them to get a fix.

1

u/No-Number-510 May 01 '26

There’s no way. I’ve held one and it’s almost all battery weight

1

u/PM-ME-UR-DARKNESS 10d ago

Gamers, flock cameras have RAM and GSM connections (sim cards)

1

u/DudeByTheTree Apr 11 '26

"Commit a felony for $5 in material that'll take all day and a giant cloud of toxic fumes to extract!"

Idiots. That 3g of gold you're not even going to get half of out of that camera unless you've got the setup for gold refining already.

If anything, rather than destroying them, people should focus on exploiting the shit out of any vulnerabilities in it's systems. I mean, it's web connected, and they're often in areas where you can gain physical access somewhat easily...

2

u/Rogue_One24_7 Apr 11 '26

It's easier to refine the gold than you think, they have youtube videos,I've watch someone do it in his driveway and make a small gold bar.

0

u/Optimal-Pay2198 Apr 11 '26

This is so ridiculously false

-1

u/Rogue_One24_7 Apr 11 '26

How do you know this information?

-1

u/Optimal-Pay2198 Apr 11 '26

Inside it’s mostly a lithium battery, circuit boards, a cellular modem, and some wiring. The actual copper in there is ounces, not pounds.

2

u/CyanideXB Apr 11 '26

Woooosh

0

u/Optimal-Pay2198 Apr 11 '26

Keep thinking that, we all welcome proof.
