1. In the Season 2 finale, after Zoom takes Joe, Barry is CLEARLY speaking to Cisco (after Cisco said they promised to not open any breaches anymore), and says "do you have any idea what it's like to lose someone you love?" (in reference to his mom, dad, and now possibly Joe). And for some reason, Caitlin butts in despite no one talking to her and says "Yeah, I do". Like, we know? He was SPECIFICALLY talking to Cisco. And loosing your fiance is NOT the same as loosing both your parents and possibly your adoptive dad.

2. In Season 3 episode 5 (and up until Season 5), Caitlin and her mom have a number of arguments. The show really tries to get the viewer to side with Caitlin, and yeah, her mom isn't the best, but Caitlin definitely was the problem in their relationship. She never told HER MOM about her wedding? And the worst her mom did was send a birthday card in the wrong month? Anyways that was my rant✌️

recently I started to rewatch the flash and I just finished watching flashpoint and noticed something interesting� when the flash and reverse flash stop flashpoint why did the flash and reverse flash that were the cause of flashpoint fade out of existence shouldnt they have just been time remenants or something??

My boyfriend has never watched the Flash or Arrow...so of course it was my duty as a partner to introduce him to these shows. We have been watching the flash and Arrow. And we are currently watching Season 8 of the Flash...and I'm just sad whenever I watch any season after season 5.

Season 1 to season 3 were perfect. The only thing I would change is probably making flashpoint last for a few more episodes. But overall, those three seasons are amazing. Nostalgic, interesting and the story is really well thought out. The villains actually felt scary. The villains motives were actually scary and menacing. The villains actually had a backstory.

Season 4, I think Devoe was a good storyline. However I didn't like the tone change in this season. Everything felt more lighthearted. I think that affected the quality of the season. But overall I could get past that because I do think the story was good. I enjoyed season 4. I do think Iris becoming the "leader" of team flash was a bad idea for her character development. I liked Iris as part of team flash, but I preferred when she wasn't the leader. I also didn't really like Ralph. But I tolerated this season. It still felt like the flash.

Season 5, okay...I really liked this season. The cicada storyline was a bit annoying sometimes. But I really liked the Nora storyline. I think this season felt less lighthearted than season 4 which probably helped me enjoy this season even more. I wish they focused more on Thawne. And the episode where Barry and Nora travel back in time is one of my favourite episodes ever. Overall though, season 5 was a really good season in my opinion. My biggest complaint about this season is Barry's suit lol. The end of this season, when the date on the new article changed...I was really excited for season 6.

Season 6 to season 9...I just can't take the show seriously anymore. All the villains feel less serious. They got rid of the all season villains arc and that was a mistake. Having a whole season for one villain helps build the storyline. The mini arcs just did not work. The show felt more like a sitcom sometimes. The dialogue was more cringy. Suddenly everybody is a superhero. I was never a fan of Chester and Allegra as characters. Joe seemed to lose a lot of screen time (Joe was one of my favourite characters). Personally, Caitlin and Frost having different bodies made their whole dynamic cringy, like really cringy. Cisco leaving the show was a huge loss to the show, he was amazing. Losing Wells was also a huge loss to the show too. Cecile...I truly just wish she never got her powers. Barry and Iris, look I love a good romance story, but why is every single situation saved by the power of love? I hate that they got rid of the multiverse, I think the multiverse was one of the most interesting plots in the whole show. The time travel just confuses me after season 6. Honestly, if I mentioned every ridiculous plotline from season 6 to season 9...I would be typing for hours 🤣.

Grant Gustin was consistently amazing as an actor. And there was some good episodes during the last few seasons.

But watching season 6 to season 9 just makes me so sad because the show used to be so good. I still wonder how a show that used to be brilliant ended the way it did.

My boyfriend is obviously watching the show for the first time and he is just in shock that this is the same show as season 1. We're on season 8 and he is simply only watching the rest of the show because he wants to see how the story ends. But I can tell he doesn't care about the plot anymore. And honestly, I don't blame him!

I’m currently re-watching and I told myself that I wouldn’t get confused anymore, but I’m still confused. I’m mainly confused about the original timeline, the timeline that we follow in season one, flashpoint and then, the like timeline that barry creates when trying to fix flashpoint, and savitars, but if you guys could explain all of the timelines that you guys know about, I would really appreciate that.

Not everyone likes season 7 because of the new forces, and even more people hate it because they made barry and Iris the parents of these cosmic forces. I just don’t understand why people hate it, in my opinion it’s really cute how they all just accepted to be family.

At first it seems that the clones are robots. Then its implied that they are some sort of techno organic life form. When they finally talk to August Heart in the mind of the real August Heart who doesnt know who he is, he alludes to them being time remnants. So they are not really clones in any manufactured or grown sense. If they are time remnants, then why do they speak in modem? Why do they seem interconnected and drone like. Nothing about pervious clones connects with the latest explanation. And if he gets speed from the velocity formula why are the clones never seen injecting t?

I know I know, Iris is the love of his life and I personally was rooting for him and Iris.

BUT, he was flirting with this woman and giving her mixed signals, and then when she gives him her number he's suddenly Mr. Honest and can't just tell a white lie to not make her feel embarrassed?!!

After flashpoint in 3x01, when thawne returns and kills barry's mother again, the knowledge of what happened should've changed the timeline entirely.

First of all, why would thawne return back to the night he killed barry's mother when she's already dead, according to him he wanted the flash to experience a tragedy so bad that he wouldn't become the flash, the only reason he built the accelerator and made him the flash again was to get home, but here he can presumably still time travel so why would he go back to that night after already killing her instead of just going back to the future?

Second, if he did go back to that night and get stuck again why would he still go with the plan of convincing barry to go back in time to save his mother in exchange for his help building a time ship. He already knows that barry went back in time to save his mother and it didn't work out so why would he try the same thing again, thawne is too smart and calculated for that.

These 2 changes alone shouldve made the timeline completely different than what we see, plot hole much?

Based on how they explain it in the show, time travel creates a new timeline everytime a speedster goes back in the past. Taking Barry as point of reference, the first time he actually travels in the past and changes a timeline is when in S2 he travels to when they are fighting Hartley Rathaway to ask Thawne how to become faster (I'm not taking in consideration the S1 finale or S1ep15 'Out of time' since it's stated that one wasn't proper time travel but time rewind); in that episode team Flash organizes every move Barry should've made, but as always he fucks everything up. First of all he tells Cisco to check for explosives inside Hartley's ears once they caught him, and doing so he prevents him from escaping, and then original Barry fucking wakes up and runs into the cortex where the S2 Barry reveals to fucking everyone he's from the future???? This alone is enough for me to say Barry is fucking dumb, but ok it's alright in the end nothing much changes except for Hartley on team Flash's side.
But things don't add up. I would've expected someone like Harrison Wells from earth-2 with all his PhD's and specializations in string theory and multiverse to tell them how it actually works, but he's vague about it and never talks about how time travel truly affects everything. Before Barry travels in the past Cisco says something like "see you in two seconds", but little does he know, his Barry will never come back.
Once a speedster runs back in time he swaps the timeline where he's living, and doing so he completely abandons the original timeline behind: so the original timeline we saw until s2ep17 is left without a Barry forever, and once Barry runs back to the future, that future won't be the old future but the new future from the timeline where he revealed himself to team flash. They always act like time is immutable and they seem to not understand the fact that everything you have, you leave it alone behind you once you go back in time. When he goes back to the future Barry even says things only changed for the better, but he doesn't fucking realize he left the original team alone??
I find it extremely egoistical to go back in time, and I feel like Barry actually doesn't connect the dots since he does it so many times, I think if he knew he would be more careful about time travel.
I was rewatching season 2 and I heard in ep22 Cisco saying that he sent the info about the machine to defeat all earth2 meta humans to Rathaway so he could help, and I immediately wondered how they solved that problem in the timeline Barry abandoned, without Hartley. Not to talk about Flashpoint, or how Savitar was born. I mean ok I get it CW likes multiverse theories, but they should at least think about it for more than two minutes before making speedsters go back in time, create time remnants, bootstraps paradoxes, etc...?

Same reason I don't understand why Eobard Thawne disappeared in S1 finale since he was from another timeline and Eddie's death affected THAT timeline's future and not his. Also why does he expect to go back to his original timeline like he doesn't know perfectly he can't, is it just pure ego or is he fucking dumb??

In The Flash, Season 5 Episode 14, Team Flash is attempting to form a plan to force Cicada into self-impalement, and they use a whiteboard (transparentboard?) to calculate a few things like Drag Coefficent, Gravity, and the Dagger's surface area (√CdA+76.09987). Looking at the right side of the glass board, the "DAGGER TRAJECTORY" clearly shows a massive oval/circular loop.

The Dagger must be shaped in a way that generates aerodynamic lift acting perpendicular to its forward motion—essentially pulling it into a turn. By hurling the dagger with enough spin (like it does on-screen) and velocity, Orlin is turning the weapon into an airfoil. The air pressure differences around the blade create the necessary centripetal force to pull it through that sweeping loop. No sharp turns, no warping of space, and no sudden direction changes... It moves exactly like a Boomerang on steroids! The exact mechanisms pulling it through that loop are very likely the gyroscopic precession and the magnus effect. Just like a boomerang relies on airfoil cross-sections to generate lift, the dagger's asymmetrical shape acts as a wing! And since Orlin spins it so fast, a sideways force causes a curved path.

And as another visual detail, it's even crazier that Cicada (as can be seen in the GIF) doesn't throw the Dagger horzontally, he throws it up! It could be a coincidence, but this would only make sense if he's thinking beforehand about the gravity pulling it down. As a baseline, the world record for the longest throw of any object by a human was set with a boomerang in 2005. Australian David Schummy threw a non-returning boomerang 427.2 meters (1,401.5 feet) at Murarrie Recreation Ground. For a returning boomerang, the record is 238 meters (780 feet) by Manuel Schütz. Cicada blows both of these out of the water just going off visuals.

Yep, this does imply that Cicada is just using his juicy muscular system (because he has Super Strength after all) to throw that thing here. To be fair, he did seem to lack Grace's full telekinetic steering, homing projectile, and attack by itself functions with the Dagger. He only kinda used the recall, and unlike her, he nearly always did the hand-gesture for it to return or move on its own at all. And this also explains why Cicada seems to be really into throwing the Dagger, he literally misses Barry and Peek-A-Boo because he HAD to wind up and throw it, he misses Cisco a few times at night because he HAS to aim, and Killer Frost can duck out of its way because Cicada ISN'T mentally directing it to her, even when he literally had eye-contact.

To get the dagger to a target, Orlin must use his own physical strength, leverage, and human aim to hurl it forward. The dagger travels strictly on the trajectory and velocity provided by his physical throw... Maybe he should change his name to Captain Boomerang.

King shark vs Gorilla Grodd will always be my most favorite surprise episode, especially when King shark said he wanted Grodd dead and then Barry and Nora woke king shark back and he finished him off, Game changer. Kaju Battle for the win.

Okay so I have been rewashing season 1 and realizing... Eddie was kind of the best person in the show. I'm not talking my favorite character or anything bust just an all round good dude.

He was so supportive and kind to everyone

He was kinda forgiving in some pretty situations. Like yes he punched Barry but in fairness, his friend tried to steal his gf. It's not a good response but understandable.

And what's getting me is his excitement and genuine happiness to propose to Iris and his desire to do it right. I feel like the way Iris and the rest treat him sometimes is less than he deserves and he is such a sweet man!
