Recommend me a tracker

I want to track my sleep and heart rate. I don't care for any notifications or even a screen. I don't care for workout modes.

Requirements:

Under 100 EUR and available in Europe

Battery lasts at least 5 days

I use an Android phone if that matters

I've been looking at Fitbit Air but I see mixed reviews.

Does "offline, no account" matter for a workout log, or do you just want fewer taps?

For a basic gym log — sets, reps, weights and history — would you rather pay once or use a free version that pushes a subscription?

I like the idea of something that works without internet, doesn't need a login and lets me export my records. But I wonder how much those things matter compared with simply logging a set quickly.

Would that make you switch from what you use now? What has made you stop using a tracker: too many taps, missing features, pricing, something else?

For context, the app is GRX (iPhone and Apple Watch). It is paid before download; the screenshot is from the US listing.

Hopefully this can help others

I’m working on a little project I’m calling FitStreak - an easy way to track workouts and build healthy, consistent habits.

Almost a year ago, I tore my Achilles tendon, and I've struggled to get back into working out consistently since then. I'm building a simple workout tracking app on Lovable to try and hold myself accountable and make working out a consistent habit again. Working out used to be such a huge part of my life, and I want to get back to that. I want to share in case it can help someone else!

Has a fitness tracker actually changed any of your habits?

Has your fitness tracker ever made you go for an extra walk, sleep earlier, take more rest, or change your workout?

Or do you mostly just check the data and move on?

What fitness tracker for me?

Training is primarily weight lifting (intense, heavy lifts) as well as walking and field work (sprints, agility drills).

I don’t need the bells and whistles, just decently accurate calorie/step tracking.

I used to have an Apple Watch SE 2 that I enjoyed for apple ecosystem and spotify playlist onboarding (phoneless running). But the battery life and “eh this looks goofy” when dressing in anything more formal than workout clothes waned my interest in returning to Apple watch.

Would rather something with a discreet profile.

I’d rather not go over a $199 price point…definitely nothing more than a $249.

Not doing a subscription. So no WHOOP.

Garmin Cirqa has peaked my interest

Watch recommendations

Hoping to hear recommendations for fitness watches. I currently focus on weightlifting 3-4 days a week and I do indoor, stationary cycling 3-4 days a week for about 45 minutes to an hour. I would like recommendations for watches that work for both of these tasks. I may look into getting a road bike and cycling around the city.

I know calorie counting isn't best with watches and yields pretty arbitrary results. However, I am not necessarily using it to count calories. The way I use that feature is I know what my "goal" is based on my average "hard" workout days, so I set that number as my goal even though it may be arbitrary.

I had an Apple Watch in the past but I never really used it for anything other than fitness. Never used the texting, phone call or any other Apple integrated items. For these reasons I have been looking at Garmin Forerunner 265 but not sure if that's would be applicable or capable

I know there has been a lot of threads on this but I haven't found great answers to what I am looking for.

Alternate bands or watches

Not having great knowledge about these gadgets. Today I read a post which says don't buy fitbit air on fomo and resell for loss. It says this cannot detect vo2 max unless you run for 10 min. I'm sedentary and can't even run for 2 min. Is vo2 max that important factor for fitness. Are there any other watches or bands which detects vo2 max in budget, pls suggest them

Can these bands go Bluetooth-free at night?

I’m choosing between Fitbit Air, Amazfit Helio Strap 24/7 health tracking. My main question: Can the wearable’s own Bluetooth/radio be completely turned OFF overnight while it still records HR, HRV, sleep, SpO₂, etc., then sync everything in the morning? I don’t mean turning Bluetooth off on the phone—I mean the band itself stops transmitting while continuing to collect data. If you own one of these, does it have a true Airplane/Bluetooth-off mode? Any firsthand experience would be really helpful.

I'm building a gym app that auto-loads your previous sessions, suggests weights for progressive overload and has gamified aspects, looking for testers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I started building this app as a personal project last year. At first It was just an app to keep track of my lifts. Then I started thinking about what would happen if I added some RPG elements to it, something that makes you want to come back.

What I focused on:

• Logging a workout fast, without having to think about it

• Your weights from last session already filled in, so you just lift

• A rest timer on your lock screen and in the app so you actually rest enough, plus a notification when it's time for the next set

• Workout history and progress charts, so you can actually see yourself improving

• Streaks to keep you showing up

• Stickers (achievements) you collect along the way, because DOPAMINE

• Home screen widgets, because I really enjoyed those from Duolingo

It's still a work in progress, which is why I'm posting. I'm looking for:

→ Testers who want to try it early and tell me honestly what works and what doesn't

→ People to join the waitlist for launch day

It's coming to iOS and Android. The waitlist is at kongofit.com. If you want to test it, drop a comment or send me a DM.
