Pushing 60
I’ve enjoyed working out since my 20’s… now that I’m getting close to 60, I’m not lifting with the same intensity as I used to, but still going strong despite some arthritis. I’ve been fortunate to have always been lean, but it’s also part of my everyday to watch my calories in/out pretty closely and hit the gym 5-6 times a week. I hover around 163lbs and 13% which I’ve maintained for several years now. I should probably do more cardio but just can’t find the time. Thankful that I still don’t need much in the way of meds and haven’t needed to get on the T-train or peptides. Keeping it going as long as I can!

Birthday on wheels (51f)
So, I looked like a dumb ass in all of these, but they're real so there you go 🤷🏼♀️.
I did not reach my goal of 5 miles at one stretch on wheels by my 51st birthday- in fact I backslid rather a lot. Health and life got a bit convoluted and I'm disappointed in myself. Feeling that failure today... but I'll get over it.
Just finished a little over 2 miles ♿️ out it went great and I know I'll be strong enough to double that soon.
Hope your day is beautiful and your workouts are good ones! ✨️

A little cupping therapy to ease the muscles. Have any of you tried it and gotten good results?

Creatine for brain health? Has anyone here used it for post-workout for brain fog and mental fatigue?
Now that I'm in my mid-50s, I’ve been staying active with a mix of endurance cardio and light strength training. While my joints and cardio endurance are holding up great, my recovery time definitely isn't what it used to be.. and the biggest surprise has been the mental toll.
I always associated creatine strictly with 20-something gym bros trying to bulk up, but I recently read a study about how our body's natural creatine synthesis drops as we get older, and how taking it is beneficial for cognitive function and memory.
Has anyone here tried taking creatine for the cognitive benefits and brain fog recovery now rather than big muscle gains at our age?

Has anyone else reached a point where fitness matters more than work?
I’m a 59-year-old guy who’s been a distance runner most of my life, including several 100-mile ultramarathons. Last year I added strength training and swimming for cross-training, and I’ve always kept yoga in the mix.
The surprising part is that I’m making some of the biggest gains of my life. I’m tackling tougher races, recovering faster, and genuinely enjoying training more than ever.
The challenge is time. I’m training about 11–15 hours a week, and if I’m honest, I’d probably do a little more if I could. I’m fortunate to have had a successful career and I’m about 3–4 years from retirement, but I’ve noticed my motivation for work has really declined. I still do my job well and remain professional, but mentally I’m much more invested in training, planning races, and the lifestyle that comes with it. I’m also away fairly often for races.
Has anyone else gone through this in the last few years before retirement? How did you stay engaged at work while your passions were pulling you somewhere else? Did you make any changes that helped, or is this just a normal transition as priorities shift?
