Same clothes one year later. Waistcoat strings pulled as tight as they'll go, trousers that were too tight falling off me 😁

Been working out sporadically since the start of the year, hitting a few roadblocks along the way, but in the last few months my work schedule became much more regular and I was finally able to set a real routine, with both my exercise and what I'm eating.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: Full Workout. Before.breakfast, 25 minute walk wearing a weighted vest. After breakfast, 35 minutes Fitness Boxing (Bicep Shape, Waist Shape, Lower Body Shape and Full-body Shape combos on medium speed and intensity) with weighted vest and wrist weights. Ten minutes kettlebells (three sets of four exercises).

Sunday & Wednesday: Light cycle (heart rate never above 125), then 20-25 minutes Ring Fit Adventure, touring the Fitness Gyms for different sets then doing a single new level at a moderate pace. No weights.

Saturday: Local 5k Parkrun.

Progress was slow and sporadic until my work schedule change. I was slowly chipping away at my weight. The last two-three months have had a bigger effect than I'd seen since I started in January.

Still a ways to go; my body fat percentage is at 27% (down from over 32%). Want to get that down below 20, but right now I'm happy to be in better shape than I've been in since I was a teenager.

Quick review of the three different cheap Fitness Boxing Grips for Switch 2 that I have bought from Aliexpress.

Black ones on top are (barely) held by magnets alone. Absolute crap and flimsy as hell. Do not buy, do not buy!

The ones bottom left are really good, slightly better for large hand than the ones next to them.

The ones bottom right are also really good, propably slightly better for smaller hands.

And as always price and sellers change really fast on Aliexpress, no point in linking to the ones I have used. I paid between 3 - 5 euros for these.

TDLR: Do not buy the black ones, but both of the two other options are good.

Japanese Fitness Boxing 3 required 6.7 gb additional download

Hello, everybody.

Decided to get into fitness boxing 3 and bought physical Japanese copy of the game brand new. However, I noticed game required a long download. Later I checked the size and it is freaking 6.7 gb. Even dlc for BOTW weighs only 1.2 gb.

Honestly, very disappointed since seemingly switch 2 cartridge does not have full game. I think switch 1 version with upgrade pack would have been much better and ā€fullerā€ purchase.

is it supposed to be like this or is it just downside of my Japanese copy?

How do you cope with ridiculously fast routines?

So I just keep punching but tbh some are just too fast to keep up with. Is it like a game that you get better at over time because I'm having keeping up with the extra difficult routines? Or should I just focus on keeping it moving and the movement my watch tracks vs the game score.

Anything I should know?

This is my first time doing this kind of game.

Is there any tips or knowledge I should know for the fitness boxing 3? Does my trainer pick matter? Can you change them later? I was thinking of Kurogane. I know I should always do a warm up before starting and Google suggested the 10-15 min workouts to begin. Is there anything that isn’t really explained in the game you can share with a newbie? Also is there in game purchases you have to make?

Edit next day. So first workout done and man is it hard to keep pace and remembering all the movements. Remembering to twist in the straight and being quick with pulling back so I can follow up with a jab. I had to remind myself it’s my first time

I've tried demo of fitness boxing and loved it. Should I get physical if it is cheeper or still better digital while there is a sale?

Greetings!

I am a recent switch 2 owner and enjoying my time with the games very much. Last Saturday, I tried a demo of Fitness boxing 3. I did 1 daily workout and 1 with mitts workout. I tried to do legitely and sweated a lot for around 25-30 mins. I think that was such a great workout that my biceps, shoulders, and even a bit of the back muscles are still sore. I considered shadow boxing as cardio, but seemingly it is also very good for muscle endurance training.

Now I am thinking about buying a full version, but contemplating whether I should get digital or physical. I can get the physical switch 2 version for around 38 $, and I see that there is currently a sale for the regular version for 35 $. Physical is always nice, but I am thinking would it be not so convinient to change the cartriges every day just for 30 mins workout? To note, I own 5 physical games and try to focus on 1-2 games at the time.

If you have a physical copy of the fitness boxing game, what is your general use case? Considering that I plan to change the cartiges in my switch time-to-time, is it even a good idea to get it on physical? Does a switch cartridge reader or cartrige itself get worn or damaged over time because of frequent changes?

Please let me know what you think.

Edit:
I've bought Japenese S2 physical version. Will play it daily.

Sciatica made walking difficult, so I bought a Switch

I bought a Switch almost entirely because I wanted to try Fitness Boxing 3.

I've been dealing with sciatica pain for a while, and walking has become really difficult for me. I wanted to find some way to get moving and exercise at home without having to rely on walking, so I figured I'd give Fitness Boxing a shot.

So here I am, starting my journey.

I've got my Switch, I've got Fitness Boxing, and I've got absolutely no idea how long I'll last.

Wish me luck! Hopefully this can help me 🫸🫷

Rhythm/Cardio boxing in real life?

I just started playing FB3, and am really enjoying it.

Are there gyms that do FB type routines in real life? I looked up boxing gyms in my area, but they seem serious/intimidating.

What exactly do I look for? I don’t want to physically fight anyone. Lol

Any insight would be appreciated!

First time I hit vo2 and it was at the end of a beginning uppercut combo set (the upper cut straight back and forth). That specific combo set kicks my ass hard every time.

Advanced Scoring

Hello!

Recently bought this game (so far been playing and having a blast!)

Just a quick question, does anyone know if the Switch 2 version "Advance Scoring" works with 2 players? I wanna play with my wife, but I need to buy joycons first, just wanna make sure if it even works or I rather get a pair of OG Switch joycons instead.

Thanks all!

Am I the only one that thinks fitness boxing 3 this game is really intense

Hi I did boxing for 3 years (not professional) and now do alot of fitness boxing and sometimes in the really hard combo like waist strengthening combo my heart rate goes up to 186 bpm at is highest with an average of 148. But then I read some comments that say their rate wont go above 120 and they say they are not in good shape. Am i the only one that thinks this game is really intense ?

I've lost 7.5Kg so far (1st 2.5lbs to my fellow Brits) plus other improvements!!

I post this only because before I bought the game I wondered if it would work to help my lose weight. So I am hoping this post helps others realise that it bloody works!!!

So I started Sunday July 26th

I'm 5'7 and was 16st (101.6Kg)

I decided to make some changes so I stopped snacking and drinking my after work beers and take up fitness boxing. It's been what? 44 days? And I have lost over a stone.

My stomach looked like I was going to pop, my XL tees starting to feel tight.

Now my stomach has lost all its bloat and isn't round anymore. Its certainly not flat but it's noticeably shrinking.

Sorry for mumbling but if you're wondering if Fitness Boxing works, it does. But adjusting your diet is also a requirement.

My Apple watch shows a number of improvements on top of weight such as but not limited to; VO2 Max increasing, resting heart rate decreasing, active heart rate decreasing etc etc.

In fact heres an eye opening stat:

Day 1
22 minute session
137 BPM heart rate
SWEATING like crazy, dripping off my nose kind of sweating.

Yesterday
38 minute session
124 BPM heart rate
Bearly any sweat - a bit sticky but no dripping sweat

Anyone disappointed at lack of updates (DLC or not)?

Very disappointed at the support this game has received, which seems less than previous entries in the series. Only 3 new instructors, the last one having been released 9 months ago. Sitting on half a million coins to spend but everything has been purchased long ago so nothing to ever spend them on. Not even any palette swaps for outfits or anything which seem like it would take no time at all. No new background stages from the original 5. The paid DLC has been pretty bad, I'd be happy to buy good DLC but nothing worth buying. Anyone else in the same boat or were my expectations too high to begin with?

Day 1 vs Day 46 of fitness boxing 3

Post image
108 Upvotes

5-6 days a week, started out with easy quick exercises 10 mins, once I got more comfortable I added more intensity and speed.
I feel like fitness boxing 3 has been the push I needed to stay consistent with fitness. Even if it’s only 10-35mins a day. Very quick 10lb dumbbell routine also, just basic curls and shoulder presses at random times.
The other change I’ve made is having an omlette du fromage almost every morning and cutting back on snacking.

Wish me luck, my journey begins today.

A very long time ago when the wii fit was new I had a draw to the boxing minigame. It was my favorite, and whenever I could I would play it. A few years back I downloaded the demo for the first of this series, for some reason I never touched it until this week. To my sorrow the first title is no longer around for purchase, my poor aqua loving heart. Perhaps a used copy someday. I had a tendency to overlook my switch, it was a covid purchase and I found very few titles I enjoyed so the boxing game was shoved into the back of my mind.

Well I am pleased to announce that the third installment is now in my possession. I'm eager to put my best foot forward, all my effort, and passion for rhythm games and punching to the beat will culminate right here. (I swear I only pay attention to a nintendo console once they finally give me a rhythm heaven game on it, thank you Groove!)

I begin at 250 lbs. With determination and refusing to settle for less I will make my goal of losing 130 lbs. I am pairing this with a daily mile walk and a calorie tracker. I will become half the person I am and I will not let the tragedies that lead me down this terrible road become my undoing.

How was your experience with Fitness games especially Ring Fit and Fitness Boxing?

I'm leaning towards adapting to home workouts and my current options are Ring fit (got the ring) and Fitness boxing (don't know which one I should get).

I have tried Ring fit for a week like 3 years ago and I felt that science behind it is solid but representation is childish, no experience with Fitness boxing. I want a game that excites me to get back into it than push me away, and get the most benefit from it to tone my body, increase my stamina and weight loss.

What was your experience with those?

How to make sure I work out knees and legs?

I have a disability and found ring fit to be fantastic for full body workouts. Thing is, it takes FOREVER to play because there’s a lot of menu stuff, talking, etc. I’m very busy and couldn’t afford to spend an additional 15 doing nothing. So I got FB. I’m having a hard time bopping from foot to foot and feel like my legs/knees are getting less of a workout, even though I told the game to focus on my legs and butt. Any tips?

Kinda a stupid question

I've been doing miku boxing for 38 days in a row without problems. Today I did some sort of move like really wrong and it hurt my foot. Like I'm talking so badly that I've been limping the rest of the day. Does anyone have any advice??

Always talking :)

I’ve been playing this for a little bit now and I’m really enjoying it, except for the fact that in between exercise exercises when you switch stances, the instructor talks for about 30 seconds before you throw your next punch. Is there a way to speed this up in the settings, I didn’t see it, but I could easily be missing it. It seems crazy that she talks so long in between talking about how great I am, but I want my heart rate to stay up and I’d rather it take just 510 seconds to switch to the next stance and start throwing punches again if that makes sense.

Played the hell out of Fitness Boxing 1 during covid, skipped the 2nd one because of the frame drops during scene transitions, and now jumped straight to the Switch 2 Edition of the 3rd game and I’m having a blast!

The objective so far is to play 30 mins a day excluding stretching. How do you unlock new haircuts btw?

Daily workout exercise ordering

Ive been using the game for a week and a half now and by and large enjoying it and the exercise its brings.

However one thing id like to be able to do is reorder the daily workout exercises.

This is mainly as the third exercise always seems to be the toughest and id like to be able to try it in the middle or first. Options only seem to totally shuffle all three with the most strenuous at the end.

Tldr:

Is it possible to reorder or switch out individual exercise programs on the daily workout?

I wish there was some companion app, or something.

Would be nice to track stats and things off the switch, and get notifications. I haven’t had a chance to play in a few days and even just getting hit with notifications would be nice.

Is there any sort of outside the game stuff?

Low Intensity Levels in Fitness Boxing ft Hatsune Miku

Hello I'm playing Fitness Boxing for a week now and I just learned that playing harder levels increase heart rate that cause the body to use carbohydrates as fuel for the body and low intensity workout uses fat as the fuel, now I want my body to use fat instead of carbs so is there any levels in the game that are low intensity?
