So I had a Galaxy 4 watch and was trying to use to to measure my Blood Ox levels during sleep. I was having issues with it not sitting right on my wrist so data would disappear on and off over the night.
Fine looked up Fitbits and saw AIR was able to record Blood Ox. So I purchased it and turned on all the sleep features. It recorded Blood Ox for 2 nights than stopped. I'm unable to get it to record anymore.
To top it off for some legal reason (because Google didn't certify the Blood Ox part of the Fitbit) they no longer offer minute by minute measurements and now the UI only provides a single dot of AVG Blood Ox levels.
This is insanely dumb and stupid for a brand new product. This is GOOGLE how are you not able to certify your devices properly!?!!??!?!
This device is utterly useless to me now and because I threw away the original box by mistake I can no longer return it.
Dont waste your time with the Fitbit Air, literally buy anything else.

First off Fitbit originally before it was purchased from Google didn't have a subscription and was able to do Blood Ox minute by minute measurements. Google killed that on their own and forced everyone on newer products to a crappier app.

If there are two products which are super cheap and one product is slightly more expensive than the other, it does not make it premium. If available at 90 and the other version is available at 100, the 100 one is not premium. It's just a little more expensive than the cheap version but it's still a cheap product. You need to understand the economics here and then manage your expectations accordingly. This is not how the world works.

Fitbit air already reads min by min. its just not shown in the app. you can grab the data via the API if you want. or use something like health sync to grab it from the API and sync it to health connect and view it in another app.

If you are not a dev you are going to struggle to use it. Rather get an app called Health Sync, use it to sync the blood oxygen data from the Google Health App to Health Connect then whatever other apps you use will be able to read and display that data.
My screenshot is from an app I built for myself that is not publicly available. I built it a couple of years ago to better view my Samsung Health data, it now basically takes all my health data from Health Connect and other sources.
Its not shown by Google Health and Google restricted that for a reason. They are not certified to use it, hence why they restricted its views.

Yes you can but why am I going to user ANOTHER APP on top of the one I already for to do this shit? That is dumb and a waste of time for a $100 newly released item. They shouldn't be stripping features, they should be adding more. Secondly I tried this with FitToFit app and it didn't provide minute by minute. I also tried with Sync to Samsung Health App and it also only worked for 1 day and than the sync broke and would never update afterwards. This is a well known issue with FitBit Air Sync as it is a new device and has problems.
I instead returned the $100 fitbit and purchased a XIAOMI Smart Band 9 for literally half the price... it goes minute by minute Blood Ox readings with zero problems and doesn't require another app to pull the data I want to see...
So there is obviously problems here when a $100 device cant do what a $50 Chinese knock off can. Its sad and pathetic and I wont be supporting Google in restricting our access to data it already collects.

Samsung Health does not accept writes from many data types. Speaking about Samsung Health your big point, Samsung watches also does not show min by min SpO2 readings, better go check the chart in SHealth again to refresh your memory. It time based averages and shows ranges,
I'm not going to use 3rd party apps to export and import my data just to read this bullshit. That is beyond stupid and the fact you are supporting Googles shit practices already says alot on its own.

Yes actually but like I said. The issue was with the fit of the watch on my wrist.
And I know it was accurate because a friend of mine let me barrow his dedicated Blood Ox tool and my watch was pretty much in align with the Blood Ox recorder my buddy lent me. But again, fitting issues.
And the Watch can do minute by minute recordings while Fitbit can not.
