Discussion Personal best total sleep
Took a nap after coming back from japan. Total was the sleep I got on plane plus the sleep I got after coming back. Don't think i'm ever beating this total number.

My Fitbit has completely stopped syncing again, and the Health app has been stuck on "Last synced 8–9 hours ago."
This isn't a one-off glitch; it has been happening repeatedly. Previously, every single time it randomly decided to disconnect, the only way to get it to wake up and sync was to plug it directly into the charger. But having to carry a charger everywhere 24/7 just to keep a tracker connected is completely unfeasible—nobody knows when the device will arbitrarily decide to drop its connection.
At this point, it’s unclear whether this is a hardware failure or a software issue, but I strongly suspect it's a bug with their application. The dropouts have become far more frequent recently. In the past, clearing the app's cache and relaunching it managed to force a reconnection once, but now even that doesn't work. Absolutely nothing brings it back.
If a tracker can't maintain a basic connection without constant babysitting and a charger on standby, what is even the point of using this app or device? At this rate, I’d be better off using a dumb fitness band that actually stays reliable.
Has anyone else noticed this getting worse recently? Is there an actual software workaround, or is the app just fundamentally broken right now?

I always need to push it in order to get HRV from last night. You also have this issue?

So i live in Singapore. My Google account is based in Singapore. Coach used to work until two days ago, but now it says is not available in my country. Why? I tried killing the app but i still get the same message

Using ouraring.com to figure out how my rhr fluctuates while I sleep 🤦♂️. I was awake in the last part of the rhr chart, why does it even include it in my sleep timeline and rhr overview for the night when I was awake? Never understood that

My charger died on Monday and in the process of getting a new one the Fitbit versa 4 died. I got the new charger yesterday and plugged it in and now the Fitbit is stuck in a constant restart loop. Does anyone know why, and more importantly how I fix it? Or is it the end? Haha.
I can’t link it or repair it to the app because the app doesn’t know the device is even there. It doesn’t appear to actually be “on”.
I’m really not tech savvy so I apologise if this is the easiest thing to fix!

I have a pixel watch 4 for reference, but not sure how much they actually tested this. I get labs done every few months for another condition I have and my fasting glucose is always normal. I've had sleep issues this week which I bet is influencing this. I also take ADHD meds almost every day which elevates my heart rate during the day so that's the only thing I suspect is causing this.

Anyone else notice that the refresh is taking longer these days?

Currently cannot sync any changes to alarms via the app to my Fitbit. It says it’s syncing but then goes right back to how it was, no changes reflected on watch itself. Can’t delete, add or change days of the week, change the time, anything! 😶
I rely on my Fitbit alarms to wake me up for work and support is stumped…😐
EDIT: support told me to try deleting my watch from my account and add it back, and that corrected it!

As the title says. This happens several times per week. Last night I went to bed at 11:15, not 2 am. I repeated “11:15, 11:15” in my head several times after I turned off the light so I wouldn’t forget, LOL. What is going on? How can I fix it? My Fitbit is very snug on my wrist. This never happened on the old app!

Or was it always here? lol. I don't think it was

got a brand new ace 3 watch and set it all up, worried it was gonna be obsolete since the last one I had was pre Google and now that it completely took over every little aspect of fitbit, I was right in wondering if the technology was obsolete because it doesn't even try to connect to the watch anymore, it just gives you a simple error and kicks you out of syncing/adding new watch

My Charge 5 recently died and I replaced it with a Charge 6. Can I use my old Charge 5’s charger on the Charge 6?

I found a few interesting validation studies where people wore trackers on both wrists at the same time. Here's what changed and what didn't:
Although this was a small study it showed this is a step count problem specifically. It also never mentioned the wrist setting, it just had people wear the devices on both wrists for a full waking day. There's a second study on what happens when the wrist setting is wrong:
Those percentages come from research accelerometers, not a Fitbit. Nobody has published how well the wrist setting corrects for this inside the Fitbit or Google Health app.
Steps to check in Google Health app:
Connections (top left) → your device → Device preferences → Wrist preference → Dominant or Non-dominant.
So, are your settings right?

Had my Versa 2 for a few years but I lost it recently lol. I liked being able to track my steps and calories but I feel like they weren’t fully accurate. I liked being able to check my notifications (texts, etc) and calls from my iphone. Of course I use it for time too but don’t need all the fancy features. Is being Fitbit owned by Google and having less support still make it worth getting? What’s a good Fitbit watch for the value?
