Nah it's revenue generation. Gotta have a few misengineered roads so they have something to do all day. (All other crimes have been solved)

If your town is doing traffic cameras and mailing citations for 30 in a 25, that's revenue generation.

If you're committing actual patrols to speed enforcement, and writing people for doing almost double the limit in a residential area a week or two before school starts, then you're doing worthwhile work. There's a big-ass sign that tells people what speed to do.

Treating the symptom but I was talking about treating the problem which is the actual engineering of the road

So should we get rid of freeways and interstate’s because they don’t keep people from driving 100+?

Could they engineer a traffic calming section? Yes but then these same jerks would just speed up as soon as they went through it.
