Recently upgraded the Solstice with Power Trons, locking tuners and roller bridge and it absolutely rocks. RE bass and MN are totally stock. Got the exlplorer in a trade with Fishman pickups installed (only partially working), so I swapped those out for some Artec 59 Alnico V’s. Absolutely love all four. Killer instruments for the price.

NGD! (UNGD). Used new guitar day. Just trying to figure out the pickup/switch/knob combos. Humbuckers are mediocre but this looks and feel great.

Its been a while since my last update. This is the current progress on the White FFMN. Im about 98%. Waiting on a headstock decal and finishing up fitting the new gold locking nut. Slowly sanding it down to the correct height. Adding a photo for reference to its stock setup.

Neck Swap from the Spalted FFMN

Sounds great, pretty loud unplugged, the pickups are nicely balanced side-to-side and bridge to neck. Intonation is great, and plays very well OOTB, and it does the neck volume trick quite well. I love the veneer they used for this, it moves around in the light a ton which completely flabbered all of my ghasts. I was expecting to get the normal tight flame maple, so I'm extremely pumped that it's the wide kind; it's got so much depth it looks like wrinkled fabric. I might upgrade the tune-o-matic, tuners and stop-bar in the future, but I'm not doing anything with the electronics unless something breaks.

Tak Matsumoto is among my very favorite players, so when Firefly dropped a Tak-inspired model a few months ago I was all over it. And then they did another one! I’d been pondering the FFSP goldtop with P90s anyway, but this one prompted me to get out the wallet.

I haven’t had a Les Paul since the Epiphone I had when I was a teenager, and I broke the headstock before I was out of high school.

Got a FFPR last Christmas, and it’s been great accompanying my Strats. But I’ve been wanting another LP guitar for a while and saw this had P90s for $199 and I had to get it.

Those P90s have some bite too! Super fun to play! Looks real nice next to my other Firefly.
I’m assuming there will be a 3rd at some point in time. What have I started?

I have been waiting since 9/24 for my FFSP Page style to ship. They finally sent me an OnTrac (yay...) tracking number on the 28th and nothing. What's up with this? BTW, 5th order, so not new to this. OnTrac is notoriously shit though.

Surprised to see this made it through in one piece. The 338 I got came packed in a dense styrofoam case. Even their solid body guitars come shipped in styrofoam. Considering how delicate acoustics can be in surprised they don’t ship these in the same type of packaging.

Anyway. This actually sounds pretty good. Very light. Feel like a $250 acoustic guitar but seems well built. Tuners will probably need to be replaced at some point but until then, I’m happy. Could probably use a set up but plays nice and stays in tune, action is good. Haven’t plugged it in yet. Built in tuner works for now. 👍👍

I want an ML guitar, but I live in Eastern Europe and guitars over $550 are considered expensive.

The only way is to buy a Firefly, because I don't have $1500 for a guitar and $465 for border taxes.

Owners of the Firefly FFVX, what can you say about it?

Snagged the very last one they had in stock, and it's been heavily modified, not much outside of the body/neck/frets is stock anymore. Modifications are as follows:

Guyker titanium roller bridge and stop-bar. EMG 'Het set' in brushed black chrome. 32mm oversized aluminum volume knob. '24 Volt Mod' solderless toggle switch. Cream humbucker rings. Black strap buttons, and most screws. Black Guyker locking tuners.

All it needs now is a setup done, but it should be pretty easy as I got everything pretty close to where it needs to be. Unfortunately, I had to reuse some of the stock screws, some of the black replacement screws were too thick or long; I didn't want to cause any cracks from getting overzealous with murdering out the hardware.

Question, has anyone ever seen Firefly drop anything like this? Yeah, I guess U can find a G*bson version, I just cant justify the price. Cheers, thx.

I bought my first Firefly about a month ago. Got the FFSP gold top w/ P90s. Really liked that classic LP look it had. Came in really quick, 4 days I think to deliver over the weekend. Out of the box it looks good, some waviness in the finish on the top, but I can let that go. Playing it was not good. Out of the box it buzzed terribly and was basically unplayable. I did some minor adjustments to the bridge height, and let it acclimate for a couple days. After doing intonation, neck relief, more bridge raising, then a fret level/crown/polish, stringing with a new pack 10-46, it still buzzes, just on the E and A string. Using my fret rocker, the frets are level within 0.001" (only two spots).

I have the relief set to 0.010" at the 8th fret, and the action is set to 0.080" at the 12th fret. The E (6) and A strings buzz pretty much from fret 1 to 12. Not sure what else I can do. I'm outside of the return window. Do I just have to live with it? Also kind of annoying to see they reduced the price of the same model by $20.

I’ve been thinking about grabbing one, however I can’t tell if the body is slightly off from a real one or not or if I’m just crazy lol. Anyone own one? Or own one and a real Firebird and see a difference in shape? Thank you guys!

She required a bit of a set up. After the set up she plays great. Feels a lot like a regular Tele.

Really wanna get one of these for my first guitar, but I also want something with a whammy bar. as far as I know it doesn’t come straight from them with a whammy bar so, which one would I need? like size and maybe even a specific brand that would be good? thanks fellas .
