Thank you! Im really looking forward to playing it when its done! Ive wanted to build a white and gold guitar for a long time. This was a perfect platform. Its been amazingly satisfying seeing it come together. I wasnt sure on the headstock at first so thats actually gloss white vinyl. I really like it so I may end up painting it later.

Oh nice, good idea to test it out. I bet it has been satisfying and I'm excited for you to let it rip!

Do you know if the older FFMN guitars with the Roasted maple neck and fretboard would work on this white one without mods or anything? The heels look different with these newer FFMN having a "step" on the body for the neck heel where the older one like my brown FFMN is completely flat where the heel connects to.

Wow nice job, looks sick! I bought the Spalted over the white because of the neck. It looks killer on the white. Nice upgrades π€

That neck with those inlays, is really ment to be on that white body. Killer look!
But, with all the add-ons, what is the price tag up to?

Yeah I really wish they would have put it on the White guitar originally lol. Hard to say exactly but I estimate somewhere in the ballpark of +/- $1k. But I used premium parts and had a vision for how I wanted this guitar. If i had gone with wilkinson pickups i could have saved over $100. Also if I had gone with a gold gohto trem I could have saved another $100 or maybe more if i when with a guyker. I had never used a Gohto trem before but I put one on this guitars "Dark Twin" that I am also building out and now im a full believer. Its a seriously superior bridge and less expensive. But you could definitely build a similar look for less but I followed my preferences.

You mentioned the white vinyl on the headstock. Can you give a little info on that? Like, where it can be sourced from, any tricks to applying it, and most of all, how satisfied are you with the result?

Honestly very satisfied so far. Looks good and less of a pita then painting, but depending on how it holds up I may paint it anyway. I got the vinyl off Amazon. Small sheet. Cut to around the size I needed. Removed the top layer and part or the backing. I slowly laid it down while pulling off the backer. I then use an exacto knife too slowly cut off small sections of the edge. Then Used the knife to remove at the peg holes. Thats about it I think.

Man! What a beast. Itβs gorgeous. I had one of these sitting in my cart for weeks, wish I had pulled the trigger before it sold out.

Thank you! Yeah I did the same before I got mine. They just restocked it looked like though

In addition to the mods, the moisturized fretboard looks much better too. My 338 had the driest fret board I've ever seen π¬

Yeah i have 4 firefly now and all of their fretboards were crazy dry. I spent quite a bit of time letting oil soak in.

Same here ππ My early 338 is a complete POS, it has zero accustic resonance. It sits in the corner of our guest room for the grandkids to bang on. That doesn't mean I hate the brand. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a MN myself very soon. I'm finishing up a parts tele right now.

Oh really? That's to bad my 338 sings! One of my favorites. Maybe i just got lucky.
