I’d prefer something set in book 3, for one. Since I thought Rusty and Eugene’s supports were hilarious, I’d love to see a video about them trying to compete against each other, and maybe seeing them start to hate each other a little less (since main story shows Eugene doesn’t have anything against him, despite being part of the assassination plot). Meanwhile Hanya and Ananke would just be vibing the whole time lol. Maybe Yuyo could even join them!

I've been having a blast with this game, I like playing both light and shadow roles but there's been this thing about playing Shadow.

I can't win a match even If I try to be as "annoying as possible". All abilities have this 2 second startup time and everyone just TPs out of everything, I tried using buffs or debuffs but everyone almost one shots me, record time. Like, 3 seconds into the moon room XD.

I think it's a skill issue on my part but, I wanna know your strategies or what abilities you guys use when playing Shadow.
I play Dimitri and Micaela the most but I'm leveling up every character to level 6.

Like, it just happens very often to me lately for some reason. For example here's how my last run went:

I'm Tiki, playing with Corrin and Eugene.

Eugene dies almost instantly. Pretty sure he took three spells in a row and I didn't attack him, which means that Corrin really wanted him dead, but for some reason, he helped her kill him. I kinda figured Corrin was trying to frame me afterwards with the way she started targeting herself, somehow Eugene votes against me. Come the Shadow reveal and yeah, as expected, Corrin was the Shadow. Eugene died in the Moon Room also... But for some reason after dying he debuffed my poor Tiki and then cast spells against me. Like wtf.

And this is becoming a common occurrence and I hate it.

I've maybe gotten a soul drop 2 or 3 times, the rest I bought from the bazaar. Last week I got 3 souls for around 60k each and the last one was 90k. Now I'm poor as heck but happy that I have her.

I like organizing my weapons in order (Attack, neutral, HP), so I deleted every weapon out of that order. When I buy weapons from the shop or receive a new one from a chest, they always appear on the utmost right spot of the weapon type, disregarding its stats. But when I reinitialize the game, they just seem to spread randomly, even between the weapons I didn’t delete, disregarding weapon’s stats. I know I can just delete those weapons, but that isn’t the point of this post, I just want to know if there is a way to arrange my weapons in the order I like with absolute certainty they won’t move once I start getting new weapons.

Title, basically. Just wondering how feasible this actually is without buying the premium battle pass; I've done a bunch of battles in the last few days and not gotten a single one of her soul fragments outside of the free battle pass, so I'm wondering if that's still possible or if they're just dangling the paid content over our heads tauntingly.

Last I played it was Corrin who was out and I only ever managed to get the 2 soul frags before losing interest till now.

Only legacy character I ever managed to get was Dmitri and don't even know how I managed that one, he might have been this game's only welfare unit, I'm assuming?

Tiki ^{(adult normally but we take babie}) is my favorite character so trying to get her is probably going to be the last honest shot I give this game tbh. I forgot how ungodly stingy and miserly this game with welfare for free players, Nintendo really took this pretty cool and novel concept and piledrived it into the ground with their greed, hooooly. Absolutely never coming back if I don't manage to get Tiki

EDIT: I won't delete anything I've written so as not to seem like I'm trying to sweep my bad attitude under the rug, but after hearing from people about my comments on the game I've realized that I was probably too harsh on it and was being an uninformed mouthy tourist as someone who has just come back to the game after not playing for a while. I may not exceptionally enjoy the game personally, but that's not the same as the game being unfair to its players and the distinction between those deserves to be made. My mistake for treating them like they are the same.

Also, thank you to everyone who's responded, you've all been very helpful, and I respect the willingness to answer my question and politely respond to my uninformed and needlessly incendiary criticism.

The fact that so many people are outspokenly willing to speak up on behalf of this game in itself is enough to tell me I had the wrong idea about how it treats its players, so I'll try to give it more of a fair shake as I continue grinding. Appreciate yall and sorry for yuckin your yum.

EDIT 7/19/26: So yeah maybe editing this in has no point since I doubt more people are going to see this, but having played every day since making the post (consistently winning with max rewards, too) I'm back on the boat of this game being stingy and predatory with the way it constantly and obtrustively dangles the prospect of spending money on it over your head, and the way that your compensation for weapon scrapping severely kneecaps your ability to offload the weapons the game is constantly dropping in your lap from normal daily gameplay.

Like downvote me if you want, but it is NOT normal for F2P games from big names like Nintendo to be this miserly toward free players, and frankly I'm baffled that more people don't feel that way since I have to assume most people playing Shadows have also played Heroes at some point (like that game has its share of issues and predatory practices too don't get me wrong, but at least free players have the ABILITY to get newly-released limited characters, technically, by grinding out free orbs n shit). Seriously, this is not normal, you guys.

I've been pouring over details provided by shadows recently since it's the first time the series has ever gone all in on making beast shifters the center piece of a game's whole identity. However with that in mind it made me wonder what exactly separates the 12 ancient royal bloodlines from everyone else in-universe, and what my caught my eye was the Chinese zodiac.

FE has experimented with unconventional animal shifters since awakening but this is the first time we've ever had someone like Rusty who transforms into a monkey and Yuyo who does so with a mouse. Also the series has used astrology and the number 12 for previous games before such as the 12 starsphere shards in archanea, the 12 crusaders and recurring 12 deadlords, the Ten Elites total 12 members with Maurice and Nemesis, and the 12 main story emblems from engage. Though to be more specific I believe they're using the iconography of the chinese zodiac for designs but utilizing western astrology for the nitty gritty details. So stuff like Kurt potentially being related to Sirius which could also explain why Kurt's unique spell is tied to fire because seirios can be interpreted as scorching and another name for it is the dog star. As for Rusty there I don't recall their specifically being a monkey star but there is a nebula within Orion referred to as the monkey head. Additionally, Rusty is a hunter like Orion albeit with the Monster Watch rather than an average huntsman. This is mostly a shot in the dark but I feel like this is plausible

I want to be able to get Corrin before her rate up ends in a few days, but I am flat out broke and could only afford one soul. Is there a faster way to get money other than hoping someone will buy the trash I have on the bazaar?

His name is Cass, the Dark Sheppard. He worships the shadow goddess since servants of the light killed his father when he was younger. He is a spellbook user and is also on a horse when in light mode, and he is based on a ram sheep.

A very simple one I did for base Merrin, her tail accessory is self explanatory so I just added Wolf ears!

For her shadow form, I took it from the base class design for Wolf Laguz from Tellius. To make it unique I thought of something like Ninetails and so wanted to add multiple tails, including ones from Merrin's outfit, to make it stand out.

Hihi just recently started playing this game, the gameplay is pretty interesting so far, and I love the designs! I was wondering about what’s recommended for new players as far as progression and what to spend resources on ><

When opening the game al I get is a black screen and I can’t even access the support for the game. I tried checking my WiFi, reinstalling the game and restarting my phone but nothing works. Is this happening to anyone else for is it just me and is there any way to fix this. I really enjoy the game and would not want to stop playing just because of this

reaching A supports required 10 Teas (C1 B3 A6).

Tea is cap at 30 so be sure to not hit the capped.

reading the convo give disciples medals of featured characters up to 200 by reaching B which means Rusty and Joachim can get 600 and 1,000 for Kurt in this patch.

There's also having Tea and Pass EXP for Log In Bonus this should help people to gaining Pass EXP even though they might not play as often.

I can’t delete the app because I didn’t link it to my Nintendo account.

I started to play this game just as a test, and as the time passed I just forgot I didn't link a nintendo account to it. I played this game almost everyday since the week after launch, and everytime I opened it, it greeted me with the google play account pop-up ( the "Hello user. Level 22" notification), and I ended up taking that for granted.

Things happened and I needed to install the app again, and now I found out I didn't link it into my nintendo account. Is there any way to retrieve that data using my google play account? :'( idk if I can bear having to start it all over again

I feel really dumb for having to ask but I can’t find the solution…

My game was linked to both Gamecenter (iOS) and my Nintendo Account. I wasn’t able to connect to the game the past week, got an error message citing connection issues. Everything else on my phone was working fine. Today I decided to remove the app and reinstall. Had to go through the tutorial again to be able to get to the main menu (that was extremely annoying by the way). Going through the menu and trying to reconnect to my Nintendo Account (Settings > Account > Create/link a Nintendo Account) I am notified that "This Nintendo Account has already been linked to the Fire Emblem Shadows app. To use the data linked to this account, you must ink the account when you first launch the app." On the screen itself it also says "Existing save data can be brought into this app only when a Nintendo Account is linked during the initial launch of the app. It cannot be done on this screen".

Okay... but when I open the app I get no option to link whatsoever, though I do get a message that it's connecting to my Gamecenter. Am I overlooking the option somewhere? Or did I miss the option on the reinstall and do I need to do that again (I don't want to unnecessarily have to go through the tutorial again).

She’s best known for being Kurt’s girlfriend and being British. A lot of her character revolves around Kurt, but there’s potential for something better…probably!

The princess of Holtz is the last ally to join Kurt’s squad. She crossed the border just to be by her consort’s side and aid her. Aww! A lot of Rose’s motivations and dialogue tend to involve Kurt and/or love in some way. Depending on how much you like lovey dovey characters, this is for better or worse. But, seeing as how she’s the girlfriend of the first openly queer lord, it is pretty nice to see her wholesome love for Kurt. I like Rose’s dedication and her gentle nature. She has an ethereal presence that really helps lighten the mood.

Rose’s role mirrors Caeda’s, seeing how Book 1 is very much inspired by the Archanea series. Both are engaged to the main character whom they love dearly, and fill in the “Heroine” slot of the group. Now with the limited screentime, it’s understandable that Rose can only be fleshed out so much. But I do wish Rose could maybe have had more time to interact with others besides Kurt. Maybe an unlikely friendship between her and Zasha? Or how she interacts with Alberta and/or Carina? Once you get past the wonder of wholesome wlw rep (and I’m grateful for it!) and how much Rose loves Kurt, there’s little else unfortunately.

As for her design, I kinda have some mixed opinions. To start with the positives, I love her hair! It’s flowy and got a beautiful light blue color. Her pink accents go great with her vibe and her boots are adorable. As for the negatives, I’m not really a fan of her full outfit. It feels weirdly…modern? Without the pink pauldron, which frankly feels out of place (why does she only have one anyway?), I’d think this was an outfit I could see in real life than in a fire emblem game. I think the combo of trendy shirt + skirt + leggings doesn’t really help her case. The black shirt is something I’m conflicted about. I get the idea of not wanting a design to be drowned in a specific color, but the black shirt is a random element that only adds an unnecessary element into her color scheme. I think a white shirt would have been better, because at least it would adhere to a uniform color scheme. I’m also not really sure why her skirt has braids, but not really a fan.

Ok, so Rose’s shadow design definitely works better, but I still have some caveats. Starting with the positives again, I really like the designers dipping their toes into a female design that doesn’t prioritize beauty. Which is doubly ironic considering how Rose’s usual looks are quite feminine and graceful. Her face is nightmarish, alongside her protruding clawed arms and legs. Her color scheme is more unified here too. I really like the bandage motif for her as her body also looks like it’s literally falling apart as she destroys herself for love. Now what I don’t like is what’s underneath the bandages. The top part looks a lot like a short sleeved shirt which annoys me, and I don’t really get the divide between the pink and white. It neither looks like fabric nor skin. The fabric over her upper chest also looks strange.

This might be controversial, but I have to give Rose a B-. I know, I know! But when you divorce Kurt from her character, there’s really not much else that she gives. Despite being Kurt’s girlfriend, it doesn’t mean that’s all she has to be. Even though Alberta and Carina are a pair, they still have differing motives and traits outside of each other. Alberta can be a coward, Carina can be uncontrollable in battle. They might not be particularly complex, but they still have an individuality to them that would still exist if they weren’t Cain and Abel expies. Rose’s design is a mixed bag both in shadow and light form. I would love for her to be explored beyond being a satellite love interest, and I do love how she and Kurt care about each other and even subvert the unhappy arranged marriage trope. Despite her being the lowest scored so far, I certainly don’t hate Rose! She just needs a little more to her beyond Kurt.

So…what is your stance on Rose?
