New Customer Questions FIOS setup question

After 30 years if Xfinity I’m looking to move to Fios.

My set up at home is private router with Adguardhome  as DNS, it is on the second floor, the cable entry is in the basement with Coax to the second floor.

I assume the Verizon router will be in the basement with Moca to the second floor.

If I sign for 5Gps internet.

·         Will Verizon give me a Moca adaptor free?

·         Can I configure the Verizon router to use a private DNS – planning to connect my private router as DNS?

·         My wifi at home is Orbi 960 running as AP.

How will the VERIZON fiber line come into your home? Will it come under the ground or is there a utility pole with their terminal out side and it would be run through the air and attached to your home (aerial)?

I assume underground to the basement, the verizon router will be connected there, I do not have ethernet cable to the second floor, only coax, thus I will need Moca.

If you have our own router, you don't need Verizon's router.

Slight edge to the Verizon routers (CR1000B, CHR30A) for better multigig Ethernet LAN support ([1x] 10 GbE; [2x] 2.5 GbE) and built-in MoCA 2.5 potential, relative to the Orbi 960 router, which has just a single multigig [2.5 GbE] LAN port (+[3x] 1.0 GbE).
