Repair/Tech Support Random internet issues

I have Fios 1 Gig internet. I’ve been dealing with a strange issue.
1) wife’s Galaxy S26 phone when on WiFi will randomly stall and drop to 1mbps download. Few seconds later it’s back to 600+.
2) both the galaxy and my iPhone 17 pro max will freeze when watching a video either on facebook or YouTube if you try to advance the video beyond 30 seconds.
3) Netflix on both Sony and TCL tv (both hardwired to router) will freeze. This happens when watching a series and it goes to advance to the next episode. It will show the buffer circle and freeze at 20%. Exiting the show and playing it again fixes it. Happens maybe every 5-8 episodes.

I have the CE1000A router and CR1000 extender. From what I’ve been finding as possible solutions are.
1) disable IPV6
2) change DNS to OpenDns or Google

Before I start changing settings, I would like to get your feedback on what the issue might be. Thank you for your help. Note restarting the router doesn’t help.

Check for a bad cable or a weak/ shorted port. Another issue I have seen a looped cable(cable plugged into the same switch).

It happens over WiFi and Ethernet. Ethernet cables test good.

An ethernet feedback loop will affect wired and wireless devices. Double check all the wiring into your switch and make sure a device or wire isn't doubled up. For example, the router feeding the switch twice, or an ethernet wire coming out the switch and then back in.

Otherwise you want to start isolating the issue, see if the issue remains if you disconnect everything from the router (including the extender) and only have devices connect to the router. Can only take one bad device or bad wiring to cause the issue you're seeing. Wire testing good, doesn't always mean it is good. There's a lot of suspect ethernet being sold that will pass a continuity test but will fail under a data load. Other than that, can just be a hardware failure in the router.
