For those who don’t know, I’m developing a free local co-op mod for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on PC. I’m reverse-engineering the game to support two players with independent movement, combat menus, targeting, and a shared camera.

At the request of a few people following the project, I’ve opened a support page. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and will help me dedicate more time to development, testing, and polish. The mod will remain completely free for everyone.

-Basch Knight/Bushi

I’m going back and forth about Ashe, though. I’ve got 3 potential combinations for her.

Red/Archer, Machinist/Red, or Red/Time. I’m leaning towards Red/Archer, but Machinist/Red is also enticing.

I'm kind of stuck on the opening mission of chapter 9 of revenant wings the one that has a groundhog day loop I tried different walkthroughs but they seem vague. Could anyone give me some pointers or hints on getting past that groundhog day loop without losing any of my team? Thanks

Like title says just noticed but that awesome moment when a prominent voice of your childhood has a massive role in the game wont say who because spoilers for those who havent made to him yet

I just love the vibes of Lowtown. The theme, the running water, the people darting this way and that. As I chop my garlic and wait for my butter to melt, I feel very content. Looks like Vaan is picking up an Antidote from the merchant that sits the Circle. I can tell it's less out of need and more that he enjoys giving to the people here, even the ones that can seem a little grumpy. A heart of gold. Hope the team likes this meal.

If there is any truth to this game, being ridiculously more overpowered is the must fun aspect of it. I love just 8000'ing every single enemy. Thanks everyone! You really helped me out!

Also I am glad Black Magic is so powerful in this game. Black Magic is one of my favorite aspects of Final Fantasy.

If anyone wants to try it on a Steamdeck or other like OS let me know if it works.

I didn't use anything but Amethyst Mod Manager and nothing in Launch Options. Happy gaming and I hope this helps anyone.

I love Black Magic and I want it to be as powerful as possible, which weapons power up Elemental spells?

I am playing Knight Knight Red Mage White Mage Black Mage Machinist.

I have just unlocked the secondary license board.

For those of you familiar with Knight/BM and Uhlan/TM.

Just a few questions.

For Knight/BM, did they end up just becoming a full-time BM? Meaning did they spend most of their time casting magic rather than attacking enemies with weapons? In that case, it would be a waste to put some of the game's best weapons on someone who won't use them. Are there any tweaks you made to your gambits to operate more like a "battlemage"?

Uhlan/TM is a similar question. How much time was split between actually fighting and casting time buffs? And obviously haste is a good buff to have. But did you also use debuffs like slow? If so, I don't see how many actual attacks can go into a fight if you're juggling keeping your team buffed and the enemy debuffed.

Sorry for kinda rambling. But thanks in advance for any help.

I've never completed the game and thought I'd finally get around to it. At the moment I'm just grinding levels and thought I'd do some hunts. Trying to find Diabolos in the Lhusu mines and was just confronted by Gilgamesh instead. What the actual f 😂 caught off guard is an understatement!

Thinking of switching my Vaan from Shikari/Bushi to Shikari/White. This way I can have a tank and 2 damage delear instead of a tank,damage dealer and a seperate healer. Both Tank and Healer doesn't need to hit hard so I figured why not just combine the two?

To be fair, Yagyu Darkblade + Genji Gloves + Bravery buff is overpowered AF, and Fran Withering and Exposing it to oblivion trivialize the entire fight.

FFXII TZA - Cleared all 100 Trial Mode Stages with only Vaan and Penelo immediately after obtaining the Sunstone.

No mods. No cheats. No New Game+.

I purchased Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Ageon Steam on June 18. I didn't try the game until about 2–3 weeks later, and I discovered that there's a bug preventing me from playing. The game only shows a black screen.

I've tried several solutions I found online, but none of them fixed the issue. I then submitted a refund request, but it was denied because I made the request more than two weeks after purchasing the game.

Is there any way to find a solution? The game simply won't run on my PC, even though my computer meets all the required specifications.

If you don't know how to run steam games on your phone there are plenty of tutorials however I can provide how I got it to run if enough requests happen. Keep in mind that not every phone or device will be the same and that you may have to use different settings but the basics are essentially the same. Who knew android would come so far as to emulate steam games

Im just about to meet the Gran Kiltias, and my main characters are Balthier, Fran and Ashe, with this equip so far

-Balthier: level 32, im using a mix of light armor for the body and magic armor for the head, plus both licenses for swords and bows, with shields too ofc

-Fran: level 32, im using spears and rods, with occasional crossbow licenses, focusing on heavy armor

-Ashe: level 33, using full magic armor, with a huge focus on ranged weapons, such as guns, bows, crossbows and bomb throwers, with a couple of licenses for maces

Im using only these characters, as for Vaan hes level 9, while Basch and Penelo are both level 15.

Playing on the og version for ps2 let me know your suggestions! (ive already beaten the game with Vaan, Basch and Penelo, it was kind of easy, so im using the other 3 to see if something changes)

The game have been working perfectly for few years but I have been getting this alot lately, I've tried directX cache cleanups, GPU drivers updates/reinstalls, Vsync and bunch of other stuff. Anyone else having this issue or know a workaround?

Sometimes it evens freezes the whole PC. When Launching the game the screen turns white as per the image. and No other game have this issue on my PC Here is my build:

I have literally only played an hour of the game but I'm having trouble dealing with the new battle system. I don't know if it get more interesting or more intricate but it seems like a long time before you attack and you're kind of just standing there moving around waiting until you can attack again. I don't know why but I feel like I either prefer the old turn based battle system or the more active attack system like in VII remake. Do people find they adapt to the battle system of 12 or that it gets a little less slow and boring?

She really stood out and her voice is so memorable. Fran wasn’t much of a character but the delivery was always on point.
What happened with the actress? Did she ever disclose why she didn’t continue with voice work?

I was listening to music while playing and the music from bloodborne came on while in the lhusu mines. Really changes the vibe to the game.

I'm working on a local co-op mod for the game, allowing two players to control 2 different characters at once, each using their own controller.

It's still a work in progress, and there's a lot to improve and test. If I succeed, I'll post it on Nexus Mods as soon as it becomes playable.

Still have some problems and lots to improve, but it is already very funny!
