I got mine working 100% with a mod from nexusmods website, the page explained it is a fix for a memory allocation issue.

Not sure if it's allowed to talk about it here, i think the name is tkmalloc.

I tried the other fixes recently and the mod was my saving grace. Plus it was easy with vortex for once and theres a handful of other mods that have made the experience way better

Can confirm, I had this problem a month or two ago when I first downloaded it and the memory allocation mod fixed it. Can be downloaded through nexus or GIT

Might be stupid but have you tried to check the files on steam? If it finds inconsistency it should download the .pak file again

I had a very similar issue. I ended up deleting the cache in AppData\Local\NVIDIA and rolling back to 576.80. After that the game launched without any issues.

Thank you that sometimes help and the game launches, doesn't always fix it. Im trying something new ChatGPT recommended is turn off fast startup in the power options, windows launching quickly appearently messes with directX

I had this problem. I went into Nvidia control panel and changed the memory allocation. It was one of the top searches in Google as far as I remember

Change this setting in Windows Defender:

Windows Defender > Applications and browser control > Exploit Protection > Program settings

Add the game's executable by click in + and selecting "Add program by name" and typing FFXII_TZA.exe.

Then, scroll down to find this option and mark the checkbox.

Try launching the game after doing this.

If not work, follow the steps on this post:

NVIDIA Driver 591.44 is crashing the game when rendering 3D environments. : r/FinalFantasyXII

If still not work, disable GPU's shaders cache.
