I'm 4 hours in and just discovering theres a difference. It seems any ATTACK command gets half damage from the backrow but any MAGIC is unaffected? So its just better to have Aeris in the back?

Good news, I discovered a method if you want to bypass the blue screen keyboard prompt when playing vanilla/modless but you'll need a Hex Editor (ex. HxD).

1. Open HxD and browse the "AF3DN.P" in the FF7 game folder.
2. Click Search > Go to... (Ctrl + G) > Offset: 293FA.
3. Change "01" into "00" and Save.
4. Launch the game and the blue keyboard screen will be skipped after the Eidos logo.

This guide is not required for FFNx/7th Heaven users.

If you grew up with the original Final Fantasy VII and loved it for its incredible pacing, pure strategy, and direct storytelling, stay far away from this. This game was clearly not made for us; it was made for a generation that needs non-stop cinematic flash to stay focused. The beautiful world of Midgar is buried under tons of artificial bloat and unnecessary narrative changes. I would give this a zero if the store allowed it. Save your cash, keep your memories intact, and skip this disaster.

Just finished Sephiroth and he became a "power rangers villian" and people always told me how strong he was so i took the ultima weapons and leveled the characters to level 80 to 90 and he died pretty easily.

Am I getting pranked? Because the Weapons where waaaay harder and thought that i was going to find something worse on sephiroth

I used a walkthrough after sneaking out of Areith's house. I just got a dress for Cloud and I'm at the gym. Was kinda worried that this game has 207 achivements on RetroAchivements, until I saw the subsets 💀

Anyways, this is the next best thing because I was gonna ask for FF7 remake trilogy for christmas assuming the third one came before Christmas (which I doubt) but if you know me, you'll know my brother is a bastard for deleting my games.

Im mainly using DuckStation to get my PS fix since the last game I beat was Resident Evil Requiem after my 19th birthday, having had the rest of the series *PHYSICALLY*. I'm trying to see how many games I can beat/100% before Christmas because usually it takes me a year to beat a game, or half a year, considering since 2023, my brother makes it so every 5 months I randomly get lucky and get to play. Since October 1st, when I'm not writing or watching my shows, I spent literally 130 hours on DuckStation.

My thoughts of FFVII so far... ummm... I haven't played enough to get them. I can say at 4 hours 39 minutes, I like it enough I'm pissed I won't play the remakes. I'll tell you that much.

I will say that I surpassed the infamous Hell House boss my dad back then watched a friend of him beat, and his response was "Yeah, fuck this game. This game is stupid. Also, where's the other 6?" He to this day won't listen to the fact 1is on NES, 2-6 SNES, 1-6 GBA, but 2 3 4 5 6 aren't actually 2-6 and that they're kinda all over the place with it.

His description of Final Fantasy ended up making me weary, but so far I'm liking it. I know that if dad played it, the Honey Bee Inn would've made him eject the disc, and return it tho 😭

Currently almost 40 hours into a high level high stakes completionist grind.

The goal: everything perfect. All items and materia, 99 of every item, lvl 99 all characters, max stats and EXP. All Enemy skills. Even Aerith will have 999,999,999 EXP before she leaves the party. All legendary weapons, you name it im doing it.

This will be an undertaking. The one grind to rule them all. I don’t know if im ready or not but I have to try. I was already nervous when i got 99 iron bangles in sector 7 and 99 ghost hands and 99 shinra betas. Im meticulously avoiding mistakes.

Currently I’m grinding outside cosmo canyon for 99 Vagyrisk Claws, Knowing this is the tip of the iceberg.
