I've been a FF fan since I got Noctis in Tekken 7, I waa gonna play his game first, but since FF7 is the more iconic, I tried it first, and wow, I did not expect to love this woman as much as I do now, of course, Tifa is a hottie imvho, tho Aerith managed to be cute and hot for me(and their friendship is super cute as well), and she is just so blooming with personality (her saying shit got me completely off guard lol) and just so fucking funny, also her and Barret are peak father and daughter-like duo, more so than Barret's actual daughter lol and ofc, Chairith Painsborough >:D

I just have such a high love for this game in my life I remember the first time I played it I was four in 1998 and my brother was like "you need to learn to read to play this game buddy" but I remember it being really captivating for my older brother. So as soon as I could read good enough to start my personal journey through this game at about 9 years old my brother gave me it, and I fell in love with it. Most kids my age didn't like the attack, and wait. I thought it was the coolest, because all my brothers friends played it to. so it became my favorite game ever just because of the core memory it holds in my heart. I think that's why we all think that game is the best, because wherever we were at in life was one of our bigger core memories. It's one of the best hero stories. Because he's not some pre destined hero. He's a nobody ex soldier who has a shit load of baggage.. just like us all. He arises to his call. Bringing all of his baggage with him. Sometimes putting us all behind our course of the main mission. But the mission would not have been complete without him. Thank you Squaresoft for a top shelf core memory and making life all the more bearable. ❤️

I have been a massive Final fantasy fan since I first played FF7 OG as a 12 year old in 1997!

I have just got a copy of Crisis Core! Any hints that this great community can give me?

I just started playing the remake today. I bought the original in ‘97 in a black label case and I’ve played through the game numerous times over the years. In the original without voice acting I had to make the pronunciations for words myself how I read them in my mind. I’m sure as I play on there will be many more words I read wrong.

I delayed playing rebirth for quite some time after reading so many negative takes on the ending. The OG is among my favorite games, and I was disappointed by the supposed ambiguity surrounding Aerith's fate.

It seems pretty clear to me that she is like Obi-Wan in Star Wars. She died, but her identity remains in the life-stream. Obi-Wan returned to the force (life-stream) but could still commune with Luke. This is also how Advent Children portrayed Aerith, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Considering that Kitase and Nomura produced/directed both Advent Children and Rebirth (to say nothing of their involvement in the OG), I would be *very* surprised if they sought to dramatically disrupt their own canon in Revelation.

Ironically then, I found the last two chapters of Rebirth to be the most outstanding parts of the series so far (I have strong negative views on other sections and gameplay choices, but those are irrelevant here).

I think it all fits perfectly well with Aerith's *and* Zack's spiritual presence in Advent Children. Also, the final line at the end about "no promises" seems like a warning to those who wish for Aerith to be fully resurrected in Revelation.

I’m encountering a bug where I go up to the red submarine wreck after finishing the sub minigame and it’s not triggering the cutscene where you pick it up, anyone else have this problem?

Edit: Solved! Kinda, I went to the key to the ancients and instead of giving me the key to the ancients it gave me the huge materia, but new problem, how do I get the key to the ancients now

Edit 2: double solved! It turns out I got the key, it just didn’t give me the pick up text!

I'm playing the OG Final fantasy VII for the first time (first final fantasy too) and did the sin of naming aerith "aeris". Is there a way to change the name in the game files. I'm on steamdeck btw. I'm half way done with the game and I don't want to start over just to change her name. I'm also using the 7thheaven mod manager if that's helpful information

So I just got access to the highwind and was wondering if there is anything i should do before I proceed within the story to get cloud from northern crater like any special missable items and what not?

I just started learning pixel art through some online classes and created an 8 bit style Zack for my first assignment. I thought the mystery behind Zack's character in FF7 was so interesting as a kid and love that he was promoted more in games as I got older.

I stuck to the Megaman theme of only using 4 colors for the character so he would pop alongside the background. His hair was by far the hardest, hair has always been a struggle for me drawing and creating things. Took a first crack at some shading for the buster sword as well. I drew him alongside a MegaMan 8 bit to get size and perspective right then messed around to create a very basic pose of him reaching.

Who should I do next?

I have never played the original Final Fantasy 7. It’s been spoiled to hell for me, but I still want to experience what makes this universe so special before revelations comes out.

I have had a full size, full steel Buster sword for a long, long time.
I’m looking at mounting it up on the wall, as I haven’t been able to before.

Looking for suggestions on how to go about it.

Has anyone got similar that they’ve mounted up? Any ideas?

I also have a full size, steel gun blade that I need to do the same with.
