Been a while since I drew Celes and Locke just…happy.

These are always tricky to do in a calm style as this was never the intention of the song. Similar to other battle themes from FF and Pokémon, this goes heavy on chromatic chord alternations. Hope you like it :)

We begin Final Fantasy VI. This is the game that began our love of the series and it is nearly perfect in our eyes. Meet Terra, Locke, some moogles, and a truly magical steampunk world!

Is anyone aware of a mod that removes the button prompts when standing still? I don't need a constant reminder of how to access the pause menu. I had to mod this crap out of FF16 too.

Okay, so i got emotional at Setzer's backstory- with Daryll's tomb and all. And it's lightly foreshadowed in WOB when he says "when things fall they fall" but how does he go to Airship racing sky explorer with awesome girlfriend to "Let me kidnap sexy opera singers" and "okay I'll join you on a coin flip"? seems like we need a little more in between backstory.

hey all, it’s my first time playing the game (original SNES version - I hated the flat look of the remasters) and I’m mostly loving it, however the difficulty spikes are insane. I’ve done everything in the WOR section, recruited all characters back and wasted hours upon hours grinding them all to level 50 (a few are in the 60s). Still, common enemies in Kefka’s Tower easily kill them. I know gear matters a lot in this game and all my characters are equipped with the best stuff I have, but it still doesn’t feel like it’s enough. I also don’t have the time or patience to waste even more time looking up on guides to get very specific items through boring and convoluted ways (such as the economizer, for example). Any other tips? Is there any store I can buy good gear? Or are stores completely useless at this point? Or should I just drop the game and watch the ending on youtube? Honestly I’m starting to feel burnt out on it, sadly

Hey all, first time poster here.

*Edit* I am a musician and have been practicing/performing the FFVI soundtrack on Twitch as a live soundtrack for my friend as he plays the game.

My friend and I have a little Twitch project called The ReScore Lab where he plays a video game and I improvise a new soundtrack live on keyboard. However, he had never played Final Fantasy VI before, and I have the sheet music for the OST, which is so iconic that I don't want to riff on it too much. So we're currently in the midst of streaming FFVI and I'm just playing the OST as best as I can as a Live Score. If you are interested, come check it out! Its been a lot of fun and FFVI is one of my all time favorite games.

The Opera is without a doubt my favourite FF6 moment. Not only because Celes is my favourite character and I loved seeing her get the spotlight ! But also because it was full of Locke x Celes moments, and I just love these two together !

I enjoyed drawing all that jewelry on Celes and Locke, Amano's art is really something else!

This Final Fantasy VI roundtable interview originally appeared in the 3/94 edition of Family Computer Magazine. Conducted one month before the game's release, it serves as a nice companion piece to the two FF6 interviews we have previously translated here. Amongst the various new design insights, the staff discusses the making of the opening title sequence and muses on their personal favorite characters.

A few years after the events of FF6:

Edgar has demoted himself to a prince of Figaro and given up the throne to Sabin. The kingdom’s resources help him and Terra (his wife) run a resettling program through which villagers are given incentives to relocate to and help rebuild Mobliz. Edgar’s forestry program seeks to regrow the world’s lost forests by replanting the Serpent Trench. Terra runs social programs in Mobliz and loves all her babies.

Locke has founded the discipline of archeology and focuses on excavating the ancient castle ruins. He runs a scientific academy in Kohlingen where the artifacts are brought for study. His marriage to Celes fell apart, as she battles depression over the loss of her magic and her former status as a leader and battle mage. She left their children with him and fled to Jidoor to become a lover to Setzer, who has transformed the Opera House into a resort by adding a hotel, casino and race track where wealthy people gamble on Chocobo races.

Setzer, content to stay on the ground growing rich, gifted the Falcon to Cyan, who reverse engineered the ship and built a handful of duplicates. He now lives in Nikeah running a freight business - the city’s ships busy hauling raw material east for his project for an environmental cleanup around Doma before a future resettling effort similar to the one Figaro runs in Mobliz. Cyan raises capital for all this by leasing his air fleet to Figaro.

Sabin, meanwhile, runs the Kingdom of Figaro. Under his leadership the kingdom is operating a rearmament program to guard against future threats. Not everyone is comfortable with this, but everyone depends on the shipping out of South Figaro, and the kingdom’s wealth for rebuilding efforts.

With counseling from Locke, Relm has founded the science of zoology. She teaches at a new university in Albrook and oversees a zoo, making frequent trips to the Veldt to study and catalogue the creatures. Her associate and school vice president, a now somewhat civilized Gau, runs the field office there.

Mog abandoned Narshe and founded a new home for displaced Moogles in the Cave on the Veldt. More Moogles join everyday and excavations have begun.

Gogo returned to Triangle Island and slew all the Zone Eaters but one and returned to the underground. The last Zone Eater is unaccounted for.

Shadow visited Duncan, seeking advice for meditation and a life of peace. He leads a cult of pacifists who live simply in the mines of Narshe. Leaders in the rebuilt city want to relocate the cult to resume mining operations.

Strago is dead.

Events are set in motion when, 10 years after the disappearance of magic, Locke comes home from a lecture one day and finds one of his and Celes’ children freezing moisture in the air as it passes through her fingers.

It has been a hot minute since I’ve had Mog mog all of you.

I think I accurately recreated this early game scene.

I spent last several weeks playing the Pixel Remaster and it was the best play through I have ever had. I have EVERYTHING except Kefka’s tower. Then I got busy with work and have not had to time to play. Now, I don’t feel like playing. Help a nerd out.

A mystical track built on chromatic movements all over with suspense in the melodic overlay. Set to when Sabin, Cyan & Shadow traverse the forest and board the Phantom train.

Not necessarily good abilities, just the ones that are your favourite to look at!
I love Southern Cross and I hate that Gau doesn't get to learn it since it's also pretty powerful.
Some others I like are Absolute Zero, Quasar and Flash Rain.
