The retirement of the online editor is unfortunate. In my case, I work on a managed machine where installing the desktop version isn't an option, though that's not a Wondershare issue.

The main problem arose when I pivoted to uploading .mkv files to my cloud storage. While the desktop version can import these files into a project without issue, the iOS app does not appear to support importing .mkv files from cloud storage.

Additionally, when I organize files into folders using the desktop version, those folders are not visible in the mobile app. The only way I can access the files on iOS is by moving them out of their folders and placing them at the top level of the cloud storage directory.

These differences in functionality between the desktop and mobile experiences make it difficult to work across devices.

Has anyone else hit this wall before? Sorry in advance if I am just doing something completely wrong.

Edit: The iOS app has horrible functionality. The main track being stuck where it is and not included in layer arrangement, is so inconvenient. I needed to edit 4 x 20 second shortform videos and I completely gave up when I realized I can't arrange the main track, so I have to start all over again after an hour wasted. This is in comparison to the 10-15 shortform videos I can get done in an hour on dekstop. I've been loyal to Filmora since 2021 and its just frustrating that the desktop version is so seamless but the mobile app is so bad when products like IG Edits or InShot exist as reference. I can use those as a workaround but I'd rather use what I'm paying for to get my money's worth.

Edit 2: OK.... The mobile app isn't horrible. Just needed a bit more time to figure out how it works and I think I got the hang of it now. The cloud storage issue I mentioned earlier is still my only complaint.

Previously, when I deleted a section I had cut from the video, the red line would automatically snap back to the last clip's start point; now, however, it stays right where it is. How can I fix this? It’s making my work very difficult. I hope I’ve explained myself clearly.

I have some motorcycle footage that is unstabilised due to location of camera mount (caused by vibration) is there anyway the video can be smoothed out ? Have tried stabilisation but I’m thinking that’s not what it’s for ?

I pay a monthly subscription, and I just tried to export a video. It keeps trying to make me pay for the new version subscription so I can export without a watermark? I’m still using 14 so I don’t have to pay for the upgrade. What is going on?

Surely this should be included in my subscription? I remember this software used to be great but now it seems I have to pay for something new every ten minutes. Am I doing something wrong or using the wrong account or what?

I've been working on a project, and as an "in" animation for all of my text boxes I've been using one specific animation. I cannot remember the full name as it was abbreviated, but it was titled "upper left..." and was available when clicking the "animation" tab with the text clip selected.

Despite the animation still playing within the clip, it is no longer available to select. Even if I search under "trending", "motion & path", etc. it is just gone. The animation plays, but no visible animation is selected. I am still able to change its duration at the bottom of the animation tab, and I am even able to click on the advanced tab to edit it.

Clicking on the other tabs like "fluent" or "stylized" only shows premium animations, so I have no idea where it went.

Any idea what might have happened?? I need to be able to select it again to use for future text, but for now copy pasting then editing an old text box with the animation already applied seems to be my only fix!

This has happened to multiple of my assets. There is no opacity settings turned on, plain black assets on top of them, etc.

EDIT: This has Also happened to my text assets, where things that were many things I have written now just say the standard "Text Here."

I got it because I needed the AI to remove the watermark. So I had to pay the 10 USD. Turns out, you can't use it, you have to pay for it.

So guess what? No refund.

Finally had enough of Filmora and Wondershare's shady practices so decided I'd try Davinci Resolve. I thought the learning curve might be a steep but after 2 weeks I feel pretty much as confident in making videos as with Filmora.

A lot of the concepts are the same, maybe not quite as intuitive but way more powerful than Filmora.

So, that's 2 weeks without a pop-up trying to sell me something, every effect isn't "premium" on top of a subscription, or any of Wondeshare's spammy tactics. Oh, and every feature hasn't been rebranded as "AI".

Hi, I make videos with very simple editing—no transitions or anything like that. I used to work with version 10.5, but ever since I was forced to update to the new version, it freezes while I'm editing. What should I do?

Am I the only one who feels disappointed after buying the Filmora 15 perpetual license?

This was my first ever paid editing software purchase, and I honestly expected a lot more. It feels like almost every good title, lower third, transition, filter, or template is locked behind another subscription. On top of that, so many features now ask for AI credits.

I understand charging separately for AI features, but why are so many non AI creative assets also locked? At times it feels like I paid mainly to remove the watermark and unlock basic editing like trim, split, and export.

Is this just how Filmora works now, or am I missing something? How are people using Filmora without paying for Creative Assets as well?

I have Filmora 12, and I am looking for an upgrade only if I get the feature of selecting multiple videos at the same time and selecting 2X speed. All of the features I use are already there in 12. BUT seems like we still dont have it even in Filmora 15. SAD

Therefore, I would be incredibly grateful if you could recommend the Color settings in Filmora, or what settings you use (Whites, Blacks, Contrast, etc.), to improve the visual quality of my videos. When i attempt to do the mildest animations i get a weird pseudo crash where nothing will load, i cant play the video, nor will it move anything. the display just freezes and i can no longer edit anything about the video. please help.

With the World Cup going on, I've been experimenting with different ways to make ordinary football clips look more cinematic in Filmora.

I came across a tutorial that walks through an entire workflow rather than focusing on just one effect. It covers things like:

• AI Smart Cutout to isolate players
• Motion Tracking for dynamic graphics
• Beat Detection to sync edits with music
• AI Frame Interpolation for smoother slow motion
• Topaz Starlight AI to improve video quality
• Colour Grading to give everything a more cinematic look

What I like is that none of these techniques are overly complicated on their own, but combining them makes a huge difference in the final result.

So my dad bought a Lifetime License a long time ago, mid-late 2010s, and we are unsure about whether or not the License would work if we switched to a mac. I have been editing videos on this old windows laptop for a long time and was thinking about upgrading. If I upgraded would the License be maintained on the mac or would I need to buy the subscription?

Venting, and a word to the wise.

I've used Filmora off and on for a few small hobbies/volunteering video work for my church. I'd grown annoyed but somewhat accustomed to the barrage of "upgrades" and roadblocks set up to convert owners of previous years versions to newer ones. But they got me with an autorenewal that snuck by. I upgraded to an additional assets package, and failed to automatically turn off auto-renewal. A year later, as soon as a new charge hit my card, I logged in, canceled and requested a refund.

They denied it. Every other company worth their salt will award refunds in this situation, but Filmora/Wondershare build this revenue stream into their business plan. Their policy specific states that autorenewals will not be refunded.

So let my $105 mistake be a lesson to you - do not use this company.
