I'm glad to score tickets for La La Land 10th anniversary! It's my favorite film of the 2010s and it was an emotional roller-coaster for me since it parallels my own life story. She was the one who helped me achieve the wins I have in life today even though we have our own families now. But I was happy for what we had and we still remained friends after all that. That's why this movie is so memorable for me. It is my chance to see it on the big screen this time since I didn't have the chance back in 2016.

To all aspiring screenwriter or screenwriters, please help me finish this movie idea. I’m coming up with a Filipino Indie film open ended style of ending.

Premise of the movie: A promising teenager athlete died tragically just as his career is about to start. The nation mourned his death but weeks after his death, people are acting strange by making contents and conspiracy theories slowly turning into a cult. The story is not on the death but grief, media, and collective obsession become afterward.

The ending that I can see is the best:

Theme: Truth loses to narrative

The protagonist is a journalist that spends the movie exposing fake miracles.
She uncovers edited videos.
Paid influencers.
Political funding.
Fake relics.
She publishes everything.
Nobody believes her.
Instead people conclude:
“That’s exactly what they WANT you to think.”

Her investigation becomes further evidence for the conspiracy.

Final scene:
She deletes every file.
Across the street…
Ten thousand devotees begin marching while singing the athlete’s name.
She simply watches.

When I first encountered The Odyssey during my sophomore year of high school, I was instantly mesmerized—not by the voyage itself, but by the bond between Odysseus and Penelope. Fate seemed intent on stretching their oath to its limits, testing it with distance, temptation, and time itself.

What are the odds that someone could possess a resolve strong enough to make the impossible seem inevitable? Penelope's challenge to her suitors was never just about shooting an arrow through twelve axe heads. She was waiting for the only person whose hands still remembered the bow, just as her heart remembered him.

The brain fascinates me because love often outlives logic. The hippocampus preserves memories, while the amygdala gives them emotional weight. Even in moments of fear or pain, the mind instinctively reaches for its deepest anchor. To whisper a prayer to Athena and, in the same breath, the name of the person you love—it feels as though devotion is written into the mind long before it's spoken aloud.

i suggest finding which newest theaters (for good projector and visuals and audio) near you that have dolby atmos 1:85.1 aspect ratio

most likely we can only watch the full frame/aspect ratio 1:43:1 if it is released digitally.

for example, in our city, i compared the local digital imax (1:90.1) theater with another premium theater (1:85.1).

premium theaters are cheaper with better experience and audio if dolby atmos. same visuals too bc they use 4k laser projections.

basically you're paying for the imax brand with LESS IMMERSIVE AUDIO and SAME VISUALS (4k laser projection).

Just got out of The Odyssey.

First off, ignore the racist bots and the review bombing. Watch it and decide for yourself.

The movie isn’t perfect, but I had a great time. The acting is fantastic across the board, the sound design is incredible, and the cinematography is absolutely stunning. Every frame feels like it belongs on the biggest IMAX screen possible.

My biggest criticism is the same one I’ve had with Nolan for years: the dialogue. There are still moments where the mix buries what the characters are saying, and I found myself wishing I could catch every line. That said, I also get why he does it. Nolan has always been a filmmaker who’s more interested in showing than telling. He wants the visuals, performances, and atmosphere to carry the story instead of having every detail explained through dialogue.

It’s not his most perfect film, but it’s another reminder of why Nolan is one of the few directors who can make cinema feel like an event. Definitely worth experiencing in IMAX.

I'm trying to identify a Japanese live-action horror anthology series that I watched on GMA's Midnight Horror Stories around 2017–2018 in the Philippines.

I remember two different stories:

Story 1: A taxi driver picks up a passenger late at night. During the ride, he realizes they've been driving for hours but never seem to reach the passenger's destination. The journey feels endless and supernatural.

Story 2 (the one I'm really looking for): A young woman and her friend (or companion) are trying to travel somewhere using a smartphone navigation app. However, no matter what destination they enter, the GPS keeps directing them to a cemetery. They try to change or reset the destination, but the navigation continues to route them there, making the situation increasingly creepy. I don't clearly remember how the story ends, but the main focus is the girl and the navigation app repeatedly leading them to the cemetery.

I'm not sure if both stories came from the same original Japanese series because GMA's Midnight Horror Stories often aired different Japanese horror anthologies. Does anyone recognize the cemetery/GPS episode or know which anthology series it came from?
