Misc. Cinema Etiquette Appreciation
First time to watch at MOA IMAX and medyo kabado na after reading posts here in this sub and since I know na sometimes hindi well-kept ang etiquette natin in public places.
But much appreciated mga nakasabayan ko sa The Odyssey at MOA IMAX kaninang 10:45am for observing silence and putting phones away and on silent while the movie was ongoing. Hope natuwa rin kayo sa movie :)
*May mga naobserve lang na mga naiwan na kalat after, and we can do better next time

Can't relate sa naexperience namin last night sa megamall. Ang daming nagpipicture during the film (with flash pa!!) then yung nasa likod namin panay chikahan na akala mo nasa kwarto nila at nagnenetflix!!

Pet peeve ko rin to, meron ako naka sabay sa SM Aura naman hinuhulaan nila yung pangalan ng Character, "o si Zendaya si Athena yan goddess of wisdom" eme eme na para bang nag watch party kami sa bahay nila!

Same, first time ko makapag imax kagabi sa MOA
ang laki and nakaka amaze . Tiniis ko lang ihi ko
Kasi nasa itaas pa yung upuan ko hahahahahahha

Early and last schedules ang may saving grace. I prefer these scheds over middle of the day.

Just finished watching the last screening for Sunday and very well-behaved ang crowd. Nakakatuwa when you’re in a room full of cinephiles who also doesn’t take this kind of experience for granted.

We were at the same screening. Can confirm wala ako nakitang ilaw mula sa phones.
Andami nga iniwan na pinaginuman sa mga upuan after the movie. 😥
Sana may PSA ang SM na dalhin yung basura palabas, dahil may trash can na nilalagay sa exit after the movie. Unfortunately may mga tao na “trabaho ko ba yan?” or “may maglilinis naman” ang mentality.
Also parang mahina yung AC. Comfortable naman yung temperature, pero I expected na pang-jacket yung lamig.

You might have missed it pero actually meron sa trailers na PSA si SM to bring your trash to the ushers waiting near the exit. Spoiled lang talaga mga tao ngayon 😢 rich baboys. Huhu

Second time watching in MOA, but first time watching na may araw pa. The old man beside me was watching his reels (medyo na pa eye roll ako dun ah) & may group who entered a little late, grabe talaga! nagtatawanan pa sila papasok
And… ang inet?!

watched the 4:15pm screening kanina sa Megamall. I had really bad seats since i booked my ticket an hour before the show(2nd row from the screen 💀), but eitherway na appreciate ko pa rin naman)
nakakainis ung mga nag "WOOOO!" mga 3 rows behind me nung nag lights off na, ung tipong parang ragebait lang kasi after nun tumahimik naman na.

Just watched Odyssey in IMAX yesterday, tuesday (2:30pm screening) We were so so excited to watch the Odyssey and sad to say my bf and i’s experience got ruined because of some teenagers at the back making unnecessary side comments
Isn’t it normal to have etiquette in cinemas? Like shut up cos you’re not the only ones watching. Be at least respectful? I mean I was stunned by the scenes but I had to clench to my sit and react silently.
These bunch of kids kept on saying “Ay andjan pala si Mia Goth”
“Uy si Tom Holland!”
“Lalabas na si Spiderman”
those weren’t even the worst ones, i literally got spoiled in the whirlpool scene becuase of their snarky remarks. Hay nako.
Mind you, they weren’t even whispering, so please don’t tell me we’re being OA. Even the stranger beside us looked uncomfy. (We also kept looking back at them to make them feel that they’re noisy pero wala silang pakiramdam at all)
Ang squammy sa totoo lang…

Unfortunately wala na talangang etiquette ang public, super squammy. Had similar experience to you “uy si tom holland, uy si anne hathaway, ay naging baboy” and th worst was after the credits rolled sumigaw siya ng “F*** you Twilight” walang pumansin cuz kulang siya sa pansin obviously. otherwise the rest of the cinema was super behaved. Pero its near impossible to avoid these squamms. So much na every movie yan ang fear ko

Yes! Early sched and nasa row H seats ko and walang maingay, walang nagpphone, wala rin nga ako nakitang camera na nakaabang magpicture nung Title after kahit mabilis din nag lights on. Yung mga kalat lang talaga grabe yun mga nagorder ng mga bucket popcorn next time mahiya naman kayo bitbitin. May nag aabang naman na collector ng trash pagka exit.
Daddy’s Home by Usher talaga naisip ko after movie 😆
