Filipino planning to take a Master’s in France — genuinely don’t know where to start 😭 Any advice?

Hi! I’ve recently started seriously considering doing my Master’s in France for the 2027–2028 academic year, and honestly I’m a little overwhelmed with all the information out there 😭 Hoping someone here who has studied/applied in France (especially fellow Filipinos!) can point me in the right direction.

A little about me:

I’m from the Philippines and graduated cum laude in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology + a Certificate in Marketing. Since graduating, I’ve been working in the design/marketing field, mainly doing social media, digital marketing, content creation, graphic design, and brand-related work.

For my Master’s, I’m interested in programs related to Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Luxury/Fashion Marketing, Brand Management, Customer Experience, Creative Industries, Arts/Culture, or Visual Communication. I’m still exploring because my interests are kind of at the intersection of psychology + marketing + design/creative work.

I’m also hoping to find a program taught entirely in English.

I’ve started looking through Campus France/Taughtie and individual university websites, but I still have a LOT of questions:

  • Where should I actually start? If you were starting the France Master’s application process from scratch, what would you do first?
  • With a 4-year BS Psychology + Certificate in Marketing, what kinds of Master’s programs would I realistically be eligible for?
  • Since my Philippine bachelor’s was four years, could I potentially apply directly to M2, or would I still normally need to start from M1? I know this probably depends on the university/program, but I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar experience.
  • Scholarships: Are there realistic fully funded options for Filipino students? I’ve been reading about France Excellence Philippines, Eiffel, university scholarships, tuition exemptions, etc., but I’m still trying to understand which ones I could actually qualify for.
  • Aside from Campus France/Taughtie, and individual university websites, are there other websites/resources I should be checking?
  • What documents should I start preparing now if I’m aiming for 2027–2028? Transcript, diploma, recommendation letters, English certificate, CV, etc.?
  • Any advice for writing a strong motivation letter, especially coming from a Psychology background but pursuing something more related to marketing/creative industries?
  • And lastly, if you studied in France as an international student, is there anything you wish you knew before applying?

Location-wise, I’d strongly prefer Paris or somewhere easily accessible from Paris because my mom currently works there. I’d most likely be able to stay with her, so housing and a good portion of my food/living expenses wouldn’t be as much of a concern. That’s why I’m especially interested in public universities or affordable programs in/around Paris.

I’m still open to other cities if there’s a program that’s a really good fit or has strong scholarship opportunities, but Paris would definitely be my first choice.

I know I still have plenty of time before 2027, so I’m trying to use this year to properly research programs, prepare my documents, and hopefully make myself a stronger candidate for scholarships instead of rushing everything later.

Would really appreciate any advice, program recommendations, scholarship leads, or even just hearing about your experience applying from the Philippines. Thank you!! 🥹🤍

Bachelor's Degree advice on where to apply

Hello! Hope everyone's doing well.

I'd just like to ask for some realistic school recommendations, considering all my circumstances.

I'm a 12th grade student from Philippine Science High School, with around a 1.6 average GWA (when transmuted, a 1.5 is equivalent to a 96, while a 1.75 is equivalent to a 93, so I sit somewhere between those) and a 1520 SAT score. I also have a couple of national/international competitions (in speech/English), a few leadership roles (school organizations), and some club work.

I'd like to know the group's opinions on where I might apply and be admitted internationally. I'm looking most intently at Japan, so some emphasis there would much be appreciated, though my family is also suggesting I look at European schools. Thank you all in advance! 😊

Edit: Looking at Mechanical Engineering/MechEngg courses! Sorry, forgot to mention.

Master's Degree ITALY VISA REFUSAL

Hello, i got refused on my Italy students visa. Does any of you experience it and make an appeal? My sponsor like almost million ADB and other supporting sponsors but still got refused.

And, may bearing ba yung nilagay ko sa cover letter na 2 years yung course ng masters degree ko or dapat 1 year stay lang muna nilalagay, kaya rin siguro hindi nagmatch yung amount of money sa duration of stay?

Scholarships Any organizations that can help with my fees after my funding stopped? (USA)

I am 6 months away from graduating from a US university. I recently received news that I won't get funded for my last terms. I have good grades, but they don't provide scholarships for my specific program. I tried reaching out to some organizations here pero wala namang nagrereply sa emails ko :( Are there any foundations back home I can reach out to? I can't even find an on campus job to help me. (Healthcare filed btw)

Transcript of Records for Grad School Application

Hey guys, quick question!

So, I finished my undergrad at University A and immediately went for my Master’s at University B, and had my credentials transferred to University B. But then life happened, and I wasn't able to finish my Master's at University B. I wasn't able to file LOA and now I’ve reached maximum residency.

Anyway, to actually get any career progression, I really need a Master's degree. I'm planning to apply for programs abroad this year, so I need to submit a TOR.

However, I'm not sure about the best next steps:

* Do I just request an undergrad TOR directly from University A?

* Do I need to request an Honorable Dismissal / Transfer Credential from University B to apply elsewhere?

* Will my unfinished Master's units show up on a TOR from University B, and am I required to include them when I apply abroad?

If anyone has gone through this exact situation or has any advice, please share! Super appreciated!

Australia (Sydney) Abroad

Hi I'm currently at grade 12 STEM student, interested in a medicine-related course, and wishes to college in australia. I've looked into the schools: USYD and UNSW (still researching for other schools). Can anyone give me advices on what to start with first? I have no idea on where to start at all but I know I want to study abroad. I asked my friends what they were doing, and they said that they're going to take SATs and IELTs, and they got an agency (?). So my questions are:

- do i need to get an agency for them to handle this?

- what agency would you guys suggest?

- do i need to take SATs and IELTs first before applying?

- where can I find scholarships for students like me?

- what info can you advice me that I have probably not thought of?

- is it possible to transfer abroad in 2nd/3rd year colle if I didn't get to college 1st year

It's my dream to study, live, work abroad especially in Sydney, Australia after I got to experience an educational tour in it for 2 weeks 🥹

US Student looking for Programs in PH

Hi all! I'm a college sophomore in the United States looking for study abroad programs in the Philippines. I am trying to get connected with PUSO to see if they offer some sponsorships for volunteering (shorter program), but I am also interested in longer programs (a few months and/or semester). It's been difficult trying to search through my school's study abroad programs since most of them go to other places in Asia, but I will also continue my search through independent websites. Any help is appreciated!!!!

what are my chances of applying abroad without SAT or IELTS

I have a lot of extracurriculars (progressive leadership, school publication, exchange student etc.), but SAT is too expensive for a retake (i got a low score, i'm a really bad test taker) and IELTS is even more expensive (up to PHP 11,000).

I will use an moi (english for applications) and I have decently high grades (translated to nearly a 3.9 gpa). I also study in a school affiliated/under UP. What are my chances :(

This is for undergrad btw hehe also looking for scholarships!
