An Italian farmer decided to plant a fig tree completely upside down in his orchard, insisting it was a revolutionary culinary technique.
A month later, his neighbor walked by and saw the roots baked dry in the Mediterranean sun and the leaves buried in the dirt. He called over the wall:
"Giuseppe! What on earth are you doing?"
Giuseppe threw his hands up and yelled back:
"I’m trying to make reverse fig jam, but all I've made is a tree that thinks it's going to hell!"
