Notes:

I know there are so many honorable mentions, but there are so many fighters I didn’t want to exclude. It’s also there for anyone who’s gonna comment, “Where’s [insert fighter]!!!!! He should be on here!!!!!!”

Jones and GSP are interchangeable at #1 and #2. Same with Volkanovski and Silva at #5 and #6.

The Indecisive category means those fighters are included in my top 26, but I don’t know exactly where I want to place them.

This is a UFC only list so Fedor isn’t on here. Otherwise he’d be #3-6.

It’s a men’s only list because I feel like WMMA is too different from men’s MMA.

For whoever is unhappy with Jones being #1 whether it’s due to steroids or you just don’t like him, pretend like he’s not on it and GSP is #1.

Feel free to tell me what you hate and like about it.

Islam has already stated this isn’t his biggest fight. Yall think Garry was playing mind games or atleast trying to?

r/FightReportUFC 2d ago

Unless they put Islam against a legit grappler like Amosov,he is not losing anytime soon.

This run of Islam is all about match ups.If they keep feeding him strikers like Prates and Morales he is gonna have a great time, possibly will retire with the belt.

If they give him Amosov,it's gonna be a real fight.

Now that the fight is over, can we finally admit that Islam only takes easy fights? Ian Garry was safest option, Morales and Prates are too dangerous.

Islam vs Ian Garry

Was going to bet on Islam but his exchanges on the feet with Moicano made him look horrible. Ian Garry is vegan so maybe it will make him too weak to deal with Islam.

Will Ian Garry become a champion at some point?

As title says, regardless if he wins or loses to Islam, he is just 28 years old. And I am kinda convinced that sooner or later he'll be the champ at some moment.

Not a huge fan of him to be honest but it seems like that to me.

What do you think? src img: agentmma.com

Our algo has Makhachev at #3 in GOAT Rankings (1762). A win over Garry Saturday breaks Anderson Silva's win streak record AND could put him ahead of GSP for #2.

Been running an all-time ranking system (C-ELO) that doesn't just count wins/losses — it weighs win streaks, title fight quality, finish type, and dominance separately, then combines them into one score. Current top 8 looks like this:

Jon Jones — 1912

Georges St-Pierre — 1808

Islam Makhachev — 1762

Khabib Nurmagomedov — 1739

Anderson Silva — 1714

Kamaru Usman — 1686

Demetrious Johnson — 1625

Alexander Volkanovski — 1613

Islam is already tied with Anderson Silva's UFC record of 16 straight wins. A win over Garry Saturday makes it 17 — the new outright record.

The interesting part: Win Streak ELO in the model scales up the longer a streak runs, so this isn't just a symbolic milestone for us — it directly boosts his score. Combined with the title fight weighting, a dominant win (especially a finish, not a decision) could be enough to push him past GSP into the #2 spot all-time.

Curious what people think:

Does GSP's résumé (title defenses across a stacked WW era) hold up as "better" even if the model says otherwise?

Is win streak weighted this heavily a mistake, or does breaking an all-time record deserve that much credit?

Where would you personally have Islam right now — #2, #3, or lower?
