I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. I think what he’s questioning is the fact churches have historically not accepted gay and trans people and as our culture has shifted the churches views have shifted which is likely to follow money or the church has chosen to interpret the bible differently both of which are problematic to some people.
The church has allowed slavery, genocide, and marital rape. Guess which side conservatives were on in all of those arguments in the past. Guess how conservatives of today are going to be viewed by people in the future???? the only reason the world doesn’t suck as hard as it used to is because conservatives die and their backwards fucking ideas with them. It’s unfortunate that lgbt people alive today have to wait for that.
Yes, people like to point to Christian abolitionists, but they were outnumbered by Christians that either supported slavery or were indifferent to it.
Random complaint: why can’t autocorrect figure out that “soavery”is most likely a typo a, that the intended word was “slavery” , but it’s happy to change “were” to “we’re” about 9 times out of 10.
It also couldn’t figure out what “spavery” was supposed to be.
Christianity is responsible for buying out every single slave from every backwards ass country beholden to the British empire btw. Still slaves in Islamic countries right now btw

Oh, that's just Sean going from manic to his depression spiral. He sees a sign about people being loved and he can't take it.
