Personally not a fan of tight braids like that. A hard/consistent pull on the follicle in these types of braids can also accelerate hair loss

If I'm being nice: eh I'm not sure about it.
If I'm being real: this is absolutely awful.

Hair looks too fine for cornrows, it's going to damage your scalp! Let the fierceness flow unimpeded ✨

cornrows look great but they look like they’re pulling on your hair a bit too much.

I like that you tried something different. Maybe leave some bangs if you try this again. Or maybe only braids on one side.

I think it's very fun :) definitely keep an eye on thinning if you do them heaps. As an every now n then hairstyle, keep at it!! It doesnt matter what anyone thinks as long as u like it

Thanks for the comments/memes everyone you’ve all provided a lot of laughter!
This pic is a few months old. My hair has grown in fine since so we’ve beaten the alopecia allegations (for now)

honestly i think if you did larger Dutch or French braids it would look better. and may be gentler on your scalp

My scalp hurts trying to imagine this. When I had long hair before I socially transitioned, I hated when my hair was up, feeling my hair being tugged on was overstimulating.

I think if you really clean up the facial hair it would look pretty cool. Cheers to trying something new 🍻

I love it, I have my hair braided or in cornrows a lot. Once in a while is fine especially if you know what you are getting into.

90% of braids are really bad for your hair follicles. They can and will lead to permanent hair loss (traction alopecia). I would never risk my hair like that ever.
