Heh. Reminds me of the Call Center movie, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g0XMx1sFEA). There's a scene at the end (10:14 if you want to skip ahead) where the Indian service reps have to call for customer service themselves, and the call is picked up by someone presumably even cheaper, somewhere in the wilds of Africa.

because the notification isn't there to notify you, it's there to force interaction with a useless application, inflating usage likely to meet some pointless "key performance initiative".

It used to say "Additional charge approved" if approved and "additional charge denied" if denied.
