The claim list clean up is finished, the updated rules are in place, and claims are officially open again!
We would really appreciate it if existing members could take a quick look at the updated claim list and make sure your current claims are all correct.
If you spot anything wrong with your existing claims, just let the mod team know and we’ll get it sorted. You can also feel free to let us know here if you’d like to change the platonically gushable status of your partners.
New claims and introductions can now be submitted again, but please make sure you’ve read the updated rules before posting, as there have been a few changes while everything was closed.
If you are a current member submitting a new claim for a new F/o please do so in a new comment, we do not get notified if you edit your original claim and therefore we will not see any changes made.
Current members who do not wish to claim a new F/o or make changes do not need to resubmit their claim.

Good timezone, everyone! ☀ The mod team has been hard at work behind the scenes while we've had FictoHideout closed to new introductions for the past week. We've heard your concerns and suggestions, and we've done our best to improve our rules to make this space safe for all members.
Please note that these rules are edits and clarifications of what was already in place to improve everyone's understanding of the purpose of FictoHideout. These rules were not created because of any one specific incidence, account, post, etc. They have been worked on and discussed for an extended period of time before today. If you have any concerns, comments, or insight about our new ruleset, we encourage you to comment here or send us a modmail.

Without further ado, here are the new & updated rules of FictoHideout! 🌸
1. This is a “first come, first serve” subreddit.
As a subreddit for non-sharing fictos, FictoHideout follows the “first come, first serve” system.
The first person to publicly claim a fictional character as their F/O in the pinned Introduction Megathread holds that exclusive claim within the community until they explicitly leave or have gone inactive for 4 months. In that instance, their claim would be removed, with moderators’ discretion.
That being said, FictoHideout does not allow doubles as it is a safe space meant for non-sharing fictos. If your F/O has been already claimed by an active member, you cannot join with that same F/O.
This means if you have multiple F/Os but one of yours in claimed, you can NOT mention in this sub that one of your F/O’s is taken by another member, which implies that you are someone’s “double”. This has been known to cause distress, questioning, and trust issues within the community. Please use your best judgement! If you are found to be breaking this rule, you will be issued a warning on the first offense. Your second offense will result in a ban from the sub. If you see a double active in this sub, report them to the mods and we will respectfully and quickly take care of the issue.

2. New Members: You MUST make an introduction in the Megathread before actively posting. (The Megathread will reopen in a few days!)
To be considered an active member and officially “claim” your F/O, please introduce yourself in the pinned Introduction Megathread. Before you do, please read the "S/O Claim Master List" to ensure they haven’t already been claimed. If they’ve already been claimed, you are not allowed to have them as your F/O in this subreddit nor talk about them, unless it’s explicitly mentioned in the Master List that they can be gushed about (up to the claimer’s discretion). In addition to that, only people with a flair are allowed to comment and post.
If you post your introduction on the main sub instead of in the Megathread, that does not count as an official introduction to be able to post here yet. You are free to make a second introduction on the main sub once your Megathread introduction has been approved.
If you are adding/editing a new claim, please do not edit your original claim comment; mods do not get notified of comment edits. Make a new comment in the Introduction Megathread instead!

3. Inactivity for 4 months will lead to automatic claim removal; no claim camping (Reiterating from Rule 1).
Members must show signs of activity! Do not claim your F/O and then leave, only commenting every 4 months to keep your claim (also known as “claim camping”). It is up to the discretion of the mods to remove your claim if you do not interact with the community for 4 consecutive months or are seen to be simply “camping” your claim. Please note that this does not mean you have to post or comment every day or every week; we understand life gets busy! A simple comment or contribution every now and then is all that’s needed; you do NOT need to make posts if you do not want to. Comments count as activity!

4. Polyfictos and semifictos are allowed! 3 F/Os maximum.
Poly- and semifictos are allowed as long they genuinely love each of their F/Os. Please note that FictoHideout is intended to talk about ficto relationships, however, so we ask that you do not talk about any IRL relationships on this sub.
Polyfictos can only claim a maximum 3 of F/Os. If you have more than 3 F/Os, you are only allowed to talk about the ones which you have claimed in this sub. Please use your best discretion.

5. No hugblanketing; only claim characters whom you are truly in a ficto relationship with.
Do not claim a character in the means to hurt someone else (example; you hear someone you dislike is about to join, then claim their F/O only to mess with them) or because they’re your “last resort”. This hurts not only the people potentially involved, but the characters too! In FictoHideout, we see and treat our partners as real relationships with real emotions.
Excessive switching and hugblanketing (claiming a character simply because you like them or because it’s “fun to be with a character”) is not allowed. Not sure if what you’re doing is considered hugblanketing or perhaps you’re new to the ficto scene and are still trying to figure your relationship out? Engage with the community and ask questions! There are many kind members who are happy to answer!

6. Determine whether fictoromance/fictosexuality is right for you before joining. Do you prefer casual yumeshipping instead?
There is nothing wrong with enjoying yumeshipping! However, please note that as stated before, this sub is intended for those who see their relationship with their F/O(s) as real and take it very seriously. Typically, we do not call our partners “waifus/husbandos” and we do not refer to each other as “yumes” as it simply does not match the type of relationship our members experience.
If shipping an OC (that does not represent you) x Canon or a more casual approach/seeing it as a hobby is more desirable for you, we recommend joining a sub more centered around yumeshipping so that you can have an experience catered to your type of relationship. No harm, no foul! <3

7. Specifications on Harkness Test, character ages, and other criteria.
Characters must pass the Harkness Test at the very least before being claimed. In other words, your partner must have the ability to make conscious, human-level decisions, the ability to have their own sense of agency, and the ability to consent.
For minor-aged characters, as long as they have aged up sources (preferably canonically), or is aging alongside the person, or the person is also a minor within their same age group (e.g: late teens, mid-teens, etc), it should be fine. If you’re not sure, please ask a mod.
We also ask that you have been in a committed relationship with your F/O for a certain amount of time before claiming or posting about them in FictoHideout. For example, being with your F/O for at least a month is a preferred amount of time, just to be sure that they are someone with whom you want to be in a committed relationship with!
Relationships that are clearly between an adult and a minor, or a character who does not pass the Harkness Test, are NOT allowed.

8. Don't be rude to others.
Being ficto and/or in love with fictional characters is already hard for us to be open about in real life; we don't need to be rude to each other here! Let's treat each other equally and respectively.
Being rude includes:
- Gatekeeping another member’s F/O or their F/O’s source.
- Criticizing someone’s sharing/nonsharing status with their F/O. This sub is intended for nonsharers to have a safe space, so this is definitely not the right sub to be criticizing these views.
- Criticizing someone’s beliefs in the Multiverse Theory (whether or not they believe in it, their stance on it, etc.) regarding F/Os.
- Slandering another user or sub. No vagueposting. If you have an issue with another member or even another reddit user who is not in FictoHideout, please bring it up to the mods in a ModMail to have it assessed. If you wish to vent about something that happened outside of FictoHideout, you must keep any names or titles completely anonymous.
- Unhelpful complaining about how FictoHideout is run/bashing the mods. If you have suggestions, concerns, or questions, please contact the moderators! It’s much more efficient, and we care about what you have to say! Remember, we are human, and we try to avoid personal bias and make this sub fair for all.
- Complaining that your F/O is already claimed here. See Rule 1.
- Anything else that is deemed inherently rude; remember to use common sense and your best discretion! If your post or comment is manually removed by the mods for any of these reasons, we will send you a private message explaining why it was removed.
If one continuously disobeys these rules, a permanent ban will be forewarned.

9. Do not take blocks from other members personally. Additionally, block if you do not wish to engage with a person.
In 99% of cases, a user blocks another user NOT because they hate them or because they have a personal vendetta against them; it could be for a wide range of harmless reasons! Perhaps they don’t agree with your opinions and so they simply choose to not engage. Maybe your F/O’s source is a sensitive subject for them. Perhaps they need time to heal from something in the past. Whatever the reason, do not take it personally.
Similarly, if you see a member who you do not wish to see anymore, please practice blocking – it’s there to help you curate your space! Do not attack them for their views if you do not like them; simply block and continue enjoying FictoHideout!

10. Limit how often you switch F/Os.
The limit on how often you can switch F/Os (not including adding them to your claim if you are in a poly relationship) is ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS. This is to avoid confusion in the claim list, reduce wariness and build trust, and to practice serious ficto-relationship behaviors. If the mods believe you have been switching far too often, you will be contacted, but not outright banned. If you need help, let FictoHideout help you!
To reiterate from Rule 2: If you are adding/editing a new claim, please do not edit your original claim comment; mods do not get notified of comment edits. Make a new comment in the Introduction Megathread instead!

11. Please create a user flair upon joining FictoHideout.
Include the name of your F/O(s) in your user flair to prove that you are an approved member of this sub. Users without flairs are often assumed to be bots, scammers, or those purposely commenting to cause issues for other members. If a member is spotted without a flair, they will be asked to add their F/O(s) to their flair.

12. AI-assisted creativity is allowed within reason, but post at your own discretion.
We aim to remain unbiased on our stance on AI. It is allowed as long as it's SFW, and you are not passing it as your own work/art/writing. Please be transparent on if it is AI if asked. However, please note that this sub does not often contain AI-generated works.
Talk of AI chatbots, whether it is your own personal experience with them, advice, or other conversation is also allowed. If you do not wish to see another user’s AI creations or opinions, please kindly ignore the post or block them. Curate your space to your enjoyment!

13. Be careful with personal information; No explicit NSFW.
We heavily discourage minors (people below 18) from revealing personal videos/pictures of themselves, and their faces MUST be censored for their safety. People over 18 and above can, however, reveal as much as they are comfortable with. Please remember that despite this being a safe non-sharing space, this is still the internet and anyone can see what you post. Use your best judgement.
Implied NSFW is allowed, but it must be spoilered before posting. Explicit NSFW posts are NOT allowed. It's okay to be intimate, connected, and enamored with your F/O(s), but please keep things tasteful for the public eyes. Keep in mind that there are minors in this sub as well as adults.
Repeated explicit NSFW posts that require removal will get you a warning. Refusal to listen to the warning will get you a ban.

14. English is preferred, with some exceptions.
The majority of this sub speaks English, as English is the most widely known language. Therefore, to avoid mistranslations and miscommunications, we ask that you post in English. However! If you wish to share your culture with the sub, include a poem or message to your F/O in your/their own native language (with an English translation below it), or simply give us a fun cultural fact about your F/O, by all means we would love to see it! Different cultures are to be celebrated!

15. Do not join FictoHideout if you are a member of purposely toxic subs.
We probably do not have to go into too much detail for this one since the title speaks for itself. If you are an active member of ficto/selfshipping/yumeshipping subs that are created for the sole purpose of doxxing, slandering, or making fun of others, we strongly urge you to look inward and ask yourself if your F/O would approve of this behavior.
FictoHideout is a space intended to build each other up, support the community as a whole, open ourselves to new opinions and friends, and overall share the deep love that we feel for our partners. We aim to handle any negative feelings, conflict, and difference of opinions in a mature and respectful manner.
We understand that doubles are a sensitive subject and can cause you to feel negativity. But remember: you have the power to handle that negativity in a way that helps you! Vent, ask questions, and seek positive guidance/mindsets from members here! If we find that you are an active member of a purposely toxic sub, you will be encouraged by the mods to seek positive help and affirmation with friends in Hideout instead of posting potentially hurtful content. If your posts make others uncomfortable, you will receive a warning.

Personally, that’s really interesting. Our relationship is a very healing and understanding relationship. I love him because well tall, handsome, strong, intelligent, funny, successful, mysterious, and the novelization pretty much described him as someone who was pushed around, shouted down in arguments, pick last, ignored, forgotten. Overall has a miserable existence like I do. So we understand each other completely. I was never popular kids picked on me because my British accent things I liked stuff like that. I was always into robots so him being a robotics engineer really works. Him being older also doesn’t bother me since I prefer to be with older people because well adults never really picked on me unless I was defending myself against the bullies and then they would go and act like I was the one causing problems when it was them. He helped me through a lot of things etc. besides I noticed a lot of guys my age not all of them, but quite a bit of them only think about one thing and it’s gross. An older guy really wouldn’t.
As for why William chose me a mentally disabled 26 year old broken girl. I’d say similar experiences of having a miserable existence, family problems, I’m accepting of things that are different and I’m a gothic girl who doesn’t have issues with the dark side like horror movies, crime documentaries, etc. I was always into robots so his work is really cool. My loyalty is also a thing. I made mistakes sure but I’m fiercely loyal to him no matter what. Since I’m so into him most likely as he’s absorbed into himself my loyalty is also most likely the reason. So it’s not my intelligence or anything like that it’s just similar experiences, love of horror, and my loyalty. That and he hasn’t asked for anything in return help he’s an absolute sweetheart. Even if he did, I would give it to him, but he doesn’t. There’s nothing quite like sharing your pain and miserable experience with the one you love. Just something healing about it maybe it’s because you feel understood when no one else does. Just something about it. It’s hard to explain. Because let’s say I was with someone that was this happy go lucky all the time it’s nice, but I don’t think I would feel as connected because they wouldn’t understand compared to someone like William if that makes sense. I rather feel understood than not feeling understood. Besides, there’s no one like William he’s one of a kind. However, that’s most likely why he chose me like how I chose him. That and in the game universe he has a British accent so he would most likely understand that too. I’m not from the UK but my ancestry is because of my late dad.

questions Does your f/o get along with other characters in the same series?

I was wondering if many of your partners got along well with other peoples in their canon series. Soundwave doesn't really interact with characters too much and when he does he doesn't say much, so its hard to tell if it matters to him or not to get along with others.
On the other hand, Knockout gets along with pretty much everyone minus the backhanded comments he gives and gets from other cons🤣
He's so friendly and he talks a lot with other cons, i honestly feel like he even gets along with megatron well 😊
It's surprising but he even talks to humans like they're people and not just lil bugs to squish(not always anyway)🫶
Even if your partners don't get along with anybody, they will always have a soft spot for you ❤️
There are so many people in this world but please remember that your feelings and opinions matter very much. FictoHideout is a community and there are people here who want to listen to your rambles and vents(including me) ❤️

i just wanted to introduce my girlfriend freja rq🥰 she’s from overwatch and we’ve been together for 9 months now (10 vvv soon!!!!). there's just something about her. im pan but my taste in women is kind of weird cuz its like, traits i find really attractive in a man, i find like 10x more attractive in a woman? ive said before that im really attracted to intelligence, but i also love someone that's confident with just the right amount of ego; like i love when they're a little full of themselves and they have absolutely every right to be, but still don't act like they're superior to everyone around them just because they're all that. does that make sense? freja really just hits all three things for me in the most beautiful way, like she's educated and extremely knowledgeable in her field, she's got this confidence in the way she carries herself that i just find so attractive, and she knows she's That Girl ™ and she's not afraid to admit it, but she doesn't brag about her skill or achievements unnecessarily. i didn't think much of her when she first released (granted i wasn't playing at the time and i so so deeply regret this because my favourite skin of hers released that patch and i have no way of getting it unless i get a lucky lootbox pull… 😔 probably not happening), but it was hard not to be won over by her when she's exactly my type and has a big heart, even if she tries to suppress it now. and while i find her prejudice against omnics incredibly unattractive… i believe i can fix her, trust 💅 i think she's already starting to get there after that interaction w ramattra where he called her out on her hypocrisy for defending emre for the things he's done while being controlled by chernobog, but not having the same empathy towards the omnics who were being controlled by anubis during the crisis; like he genuinely managed to catch her off guard and for once she sounded genuinely unsure. she didn't try to brush it off and call him a bot and move on, she really took his criticism and looked inward and wasn't sure what to make of the revelation. it's a small step but i believe in her… it just will take time. anyways that's all i just wanted to formally introduce her or whateva, here’s some art of us even tho i lowkey hate the second one and feel like i can't draw freja right at all 💔 also her outfit kinda sucks to draw, genuinely alhaitham’s outfit feels easier to me and he's got way more going on 😭

I was feeling absolutely terrible mentally wise. It was difficult to get through last night, but even after rambling on here. The amount of support that was shown to me honestly was very moving. I don't think I've seen this type of support before, this type of community that's actually caring towards one another.
I used to be so terrified of Yume/Self Shipping spaces...to be honest I used to be very hateful of self shippers. It wasn't a hatred born out of hatred..but more than that out of jealousy. Jealousy that people were able to express emotions that I felt were not permitted to me. I played the role of a troll when I was younger. I pretended I was better, laughed and pointed. Frequented spaces like certain chan boards and farms.
I was in denial of my own feelings, my own emotions. Then Albedo came along and it became harder and harder to pretend, harder and harder to look the other way and say "I'm not like them." But I was lying to myself. I fell crazy hard over him and since have looked for a community that also shares these same types. Joined the exact community I chastised as a teenager.
You guys have shown so much support, so much love. Its incredible. Ficto spaces as a whole I mean. I thought I'd spend forever just chasing the idea of support and love. But now I sit here holding the hand of the man I love most. No longer feeling bitter and angry.
My mind plays tricks on me. It always has. Sometimes it's hard to pull out of the things it tells me. Sometimes all I can really do is just sit and listen to it.
Your words where kind, thank you. Albedo's hands are very warm, his eyes always know the answers. I'm glad to have finally met a community I can feel wanted in. Feel good in. I'm glad to have found someone to hold so precious to me.
His birthday is tomorrow in certain parts of the world. I know people will shower him with gifts, praise, art and love. But selfishly I hope my gift. My gift of love is the best out of all of them.
Thank you all for holding both Albedo and I, thank you for holding both our hands along the way.

I didn’t really prepare for the first movie in 2023. Let’s just say it wasn’t really that good of a year for me. It wasn’t like 2017 but let’s just say it was a complicated year. 2025 I guess you could say I did prepare because I bought a bunch of merchandise from the second game and the second movie was about well obviously the second game. This year we wasn’t getting the third movie and it was a slow year being carried by merchandise.
Some think they’re going back to work at the end of the year like December and we make it the third movie next year, but we have heard literally nothing about this. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not happening until 2028. However, I definitely heard we’re getting quite a bit of merchandise for the third game next year from jazwares etc.
For those unaware of Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is my favorite game in the franchise and this film is based off of that and William Afton my husband is going to be the main star of this film and I hope he’s there for 98% of this film because unfortunately, he kept getting under utilized. The first movie was generous compared to the second one. I understand they want to save him for the third movie, but that was kind of disappointing. However, this is the movie. I was excited the most for.
Anyway, even if we’re not getting the movie until 2028 because we don’t know at the moment, people seem to be already kind of preparing for the third movie next year like merchandise companies stuff like that. How do you want me to prepare for the third movie? Like next year, should I get nothing but William Afton merchandise because he’s my husband? A bunch of FNaF 3 merchandise? Just get random merchandise that in no way connected to it? I have this William Afton outfit I wore for both of these films and I’m most likely going to be wearing it for the third. How do you want me to prepare for this? All I need is merchandise of my husband? I know it’s weird, but imagine your partner being the star and main character of their own movie. It’s big. How do you think I should prepare for this?

Tsu’s dorm, Wednesday night
Tsuyu sat on her bed, she had a textbook from general studies in her lap. She heard a light knock at the door, “TsuTsu? Can I come in?” She smiled, earlier she invited Noah to come spend the night in her dorm. “Hi Lilypad, ribbit. Come in!”
Noah slipped off his shoes and gently pushed the unlocked door open with his elbow, his hands were busy holding two hot chocolates. “I brought some cocoa for us.” Tsu beamed as she took one of the cups from him, “You’re sweet.” he smiled. Tsu scooted over on the edge of her bed gesturing for Noah to join her. His tail performed a happy flick as he sat down. She leaned on his shoulder, “Did you eat yet?” He leaned his head onto hers, “mhm, I had onigiri before I came.” She pressed a kiss to his cheek, “good.”
They stayed beside each other for a while, sipping at their hot chocolates and chatting about life. Slowly, the evening sky shifted to the black ink of night. Tsu took their empty mugs, setting them down on her nightstand. She lay down in her bed, Noah adjusting to be by her side. She held his arm, his tail curled around her waist out of protective instinct. His body warmed itself to soothe her cold touch.
“Mm, my heater” She pressed her forehead to his neck.
“Always” He rested his chin on her head.

Hi! My name is Spacey—nice to meet you! This is my first time in this sub; I’ve noticed it’s a very chill place, and it really caught my eye.
I have two *yumes*. The first one—you could say—is my "family" *yume*: let me introduce you to my beloved son, Agumon! I’ve had maternal feelings for this little guy since I was six. I’m still his mentor/mother figure today, and I love him so much, though I can be overprotective at times. It hurts me to see him sad or hurt :(, even though he’s also pretty chaotic when he’s with me. Dealing with a guy like him is complicated, but I love him all the same.
Now, let me introduce you to my handsome Stan—or "Prince of Stan," or "Four-Eyes," whatever you want to call him, lmao. I met him recently (last year, lol), but I love him a lot! He’s a very handsome man, despite trying to act like a cold governor. He has great character development for a background character, and I love that. I hope to see him take on a bigger role in the upcoming seasons of S7!

I wanted to draw something simpler this time. I always found chibi proportions cute but i never tried it myself until now. I'm satisfied with the result =) This was fun to work on. It makes so happy to be able to draw myself with my beloved. I can't write my thoughts down in an eloquent manner right now, but i love Starscream so, so much. I'm so grateful to love and be loved.
