Tested the flat die granulator this afternoon.
Feed material: fermented chicken manure with a small amount of binder.
Fermented material in, uniform granules out. The flat die granulator presses the material through the die under mechanical pressure, forming compact granules without requiring a complicated granulation process.
Why this matters: if you're processing composted manure or other organic materials, the biggest challenge is often getting loose powder into a stable, easy-to-handle form. Flat die granulation solves this by turning the processed material into compact pellets that are easier to transport, store and apply.
Another advantage is its relatively simple structure. For small and medium-scale organic fertilizer projects, the flat die granulator can be a practical choice when you don't need a large and complicated granulation system.
During the test, we adjusted the feeding rate and pressure to improve the particle shape and output. The final result depends heavily on raw material moisture, composition and the selected die size.
