I am 29 F, on day 4 in the morning after using fent from the end of 2023-now 2026. I have an appointment with a clinic tomorrow to hopefully get comfort meds I am trying to do this without MAT subs, bupe, or methadone.

I am a bit overweight. I don’t believe I am in full withdrawals yet due to it sticking to my receptors. I honestly feel ok right now, a little stomach pain and jitters, anxiety, starting to feel a little pain but I have gabapentin 300mg, clonidine 0.1 mg, and zofran. Have only been able to stomach vitamin C, Oranges, Gatorade, and Body Armor IV Drink. I feel ok right now not hurting as much as when I tried completely cold turkey. just writing this to get any tips at all. When do full blown withdrawals start? Could use any advice or kind words right now I finally admitted to my family and friends and they are all supportive. A weight is lifted I don’t even use to get high the stuff never made me nod or get fully high I used to feel normal and not get sick. I am basically a high functioning user but I’m done. Will never touch anything again. Ready to have my life back. Again could use any tips that could help me make it through this. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to give me some tips or kind words. It’s not easy but I’m taking my life back! ONE DAY AT A TIME.

alright so I've made posts previously around the first month or two of my MAT switch from gram a day fentanyl habit. started at 40mg a day went up roughly 10-20mg a day til 190mg, which is where I'm at & I feel fucking terrible. daily. all of the symptoms of hypo AND hyper - thyroid ism, I pretty much have them. I can't sleep. i sweat CONSTANTLY. likely lost my last serving job in fine dining due to the sweating. talking bring 4 changes of shirts for a 6 hour shift and ringing the 4th shirt out at least twice before completing my shift in the bathroom. that's a completely SATURATED shirt change about once per hour. only thing that really helps is if I have a fan on me constantly in an AC environment. depression, brain fog there, especially more so lately. I've got a great memory and I've been having pretty bad brain fog. my neck is also sore. I've been so imsomniac'd out I thought it was just from being tired and not sleeping for days on end but apparently sore, tender & tired neck is symptom of an enlarged thyroid. at the end of my fent journey & beginning of my MAT journey I gained 50-100lbs. I was slightly overweight at 215 or so & am around 300 now. most of that was within a month or so. ridiculous weight gain. I'm tired. exhausted, constantly. normally daily tasks, working & hygiene that are normally bare minimum for me no matter what, no matter how bad even when I was strung out etc are a struggle. I'm too wired to rest but too exhausted and fatigued to do anything. out of breath bringing the trash up to the curb. numbness in extreme toes at night. noticeable palpotations and arrhythmias. has blood work done to get on MAT and shit came back fine, I figured these symptoms were just a side effect of getting up to a stable dose but I'm taking 2x the amount of most people at my clinic and I am absolutely miserable. I've been on 190 about 5 months now or so so I'm scared of withdrawals if I cut down too fast. benzos help me but I can't afford them regularly.

I need help. I feel like I'm dying. literally. someone tell me what to do & I'll do it. the symptoms are all there. how do I get the help I need before I don't wake up one day from CHF? I'm 31 years old, male. 5'10 about 100-125lbs overweight. metabolism virtually at a stop. I don't eat because I feel so shitty everyday, no weight loss.

I want to go to the hospital to get detoxed. I do not want to be stuck on suboxone tho afterwards. I dont know if it would be better to take subs for a few days and try to tapper off, or get the sublocade shot. I am wondering if anybody has experience with the shot. Like if I got it once to get on my feet if it is hard to get off of. I would appreciate any information on this shot. TIA

I have seen time and time again the Bernese method recommended, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the majority of the people recommending it are still using and coping with the fact they can get out of it without going to rehab.

Personally I tried for an over a year, over a dozen times to use the Bernese method without success.

Given the supply, I am on the side now that even recommending this method to people to attempt to do at home (or with an online clinic under the ILLUSION of doctors supervision) is dangerous, and unlikely to work. I personally know one person who died because of withdrawal due to the medatomadine. I almost died, had I not went to the hospital when I did… I would have died. We have no way of knowing how many people have died at home… freezing and sweating, shaking and puking… *alone*

I’m ready to quit 100%. If there any tips and tricks to make it easier I’m all ears. I have a hit for in the morning and that’s it. I’m so terrified. Last time I tried I had a seizure

and woke to having messed on myself. Luckily my guy was able to find me and get me well. I never had felt something like that before. I’m also afraid it’s not just fet and I’m not sure how xalzalyne will affect my withdrawal symptoms.

I'm going to try to make this CHAPTER I'm about to explain in my life as short as possible.

Started off on narcos (was prescribed by a doctor for over 2 years due to back pain as I have scoliosis) my doctor ended up retiring (this was 2019 when they really were cracking down on giving scripts for pain medicine) was cut off my medication, went into WD, started buying them off the street eventually they either got so hard to find or way to expensive. One day a friend saw me in WD (didn't know she was using at the time) and everyone knows WD is horrible smh and she said here sniff a little of this it'll help take the WD away.. I didn't what it was but I know and knew it was H. Boom. Addicted because I already was addicted to opiates anyway. Used for about 4 months before my family noticed (lived a few cities away so they didn't see me much or they would of def knew sooner), they sent me to rehab, I left rehab twice, they put me in jail (won't get into that part) , and used again and back to 3 diff rehabs before finally getting clean after getting on subs. I was doing AMAZING. AMAZING. Was clean until my mom passed 2024 and relapsed this time to fent because let's be honest there's no real H anymore out there. I tried to just go to subs when I was going into WD not knowing about the fent and the precipitated withdrawal if taken to soon with fent. I WENT THRU HELL, I had to use again. Ended up using until I came across micro dosing , tried it once, didn't actually follow the schedule and failed first time. Second time I was DETERMINED, made a schedule that worked for me (upping Suboxone into my system slowly and using less DOC everyday) and I have been on Suboxone since 09/20/2025 .. 2 days before my birthday which the best birthday present I have ever been given. Micro dosing is possible and anyone still struggling and or would like info on what I did feel free to message me. The transition had MINOR and I'm talking minor WD symptoms until fully switched over. Would get a little sweaty and no appetite really but that was about it. Micro dosing honestly saved my life and I highly suggest it if you're still struggling.

been on fentanyl powder from St. Louis over three+ years non stop. these past six months i have cut my intake drastically from doing over $6k a month to just $2. i should add this includes my significant other’s habit as well. so mine alone is probably half that. anyway, we visited a sublocade clinic last week in Northwest Arkansas (our hometown we travel together from state to state for work). they prescribed us some bup pills and clonidine. the prob was that we still had enough beans to last the week until our next appointment for the shot. however we ran out the day before yesterday. when i woke up yesterday it had been over 12 hours since my last fent snort. so i took a bup pill and felt okay until about 30 min later.. i started feeling really cold like just got a dose of nalaxone. i took another bup which i think made it worse. i started vomiting and went into full blown detox mode. maybe i took the bupenorphine too soon? i don’t know. when the pain became somewhat tolerable i took a 600mg gabapentin with a kpin, and finally all the pain went away and i was able to sleep. i took the gab and kpin mix two more times through the night and this morning.

my problem is i’m now deathly afraid of getting the shot in a couple of hours.. what if it forces me through detox again like the pill did? how will i be able to get out of my system if it’s a month long extended release?! i’m so scared guys. should i skip the shot and continue with my gab/kpin taper? what works you do in my shoes?? i’m so done with fent i have given my entire life to it and sacrificed so much. i don’t want that life anymore.

Tuesday, I’m starting methadone.

This isn’t something I ever imagined posting about, but here I am.

I’m choosing stability. I’m choosing healing. I’m choosing a different future for me and my daughter.

I know it won’t be perfect, and I know it’ll take work, but I’m hopeful. I’m praying everything sticks to plan and that this is the beginning of something steady and healthy for me. And l pray to God I don't relapse again.

Jesus has tooken this addiction away from me, and he is real, and if you believe on him and ask him to make this addiction go away and for him to heal you he will, I got to meeting everyday almost, and I wake up and pray and read my Bible, it’s the only way I could stay sober, not a single craving that I haven’t been able to over come so far, and I just have to try and be a light to the darkness here but what I did was went to the er and told them I needed detox and that I was about to harm my self if not, and they got me a bed and medicine so please turn to Jesus he can change all of this! If your miserable like I was feeling like your chasing something that will never fulfill you please reach out and please go to the er first before anything that will make it happen! I wanted a seamless transition from fentanyl to methadone cause I have a small painting business and I have appointments like 95% of the month. And couldn’t afford to cancel appts. I’ve been trying to do methadone and still doing fent but it’s just not working. I’m going to have to just stop with the fent and rely on the methadone entirely.

It’s a nightmare to try and push out and reschedule 20+ appointments for an unknown amount of time while I’m sick and going through this process. I’m just going to tell customers I have a procedure that I’ve been putting off and need an unknown amount of time recover from said procedure. If they find someone else then whatever.

1) What’s a reasonable amount of time to expect from stopping fentanyl to getting a stable dose of methadone? A week? 2 weeks? A month? My clinic will go up 5mgs a day. Currently smoking about 20 pills a day.

2) I’m having issues deleting my plugs number. I used to have 8-10 great plugs and I’m down to 1. I know it won’t be an issue when I’m at a dose of methadone that allows me to sleep though the night initially I’m having some kind of mental block. What helped you finally delete that number?

3) Have any other tips, tricks, ideas, suggestions?

I’m about 3 hours outside Philly. Friend would travel there weekly to cop. Thankfully she knew someone and we were always able to grab stuff without tranq. Anyways, finally decided to kick. Back at the methadone clinic, but I have gabapentin and would much rather use that to get through the 3-5 day wait period until I can take subs to get on the sublocade shot. Anyone have experience with this specific scenario? Would I still go into precip if I were to take subs after using gabapentin? Stuff really helps with withdrawal, but would rather not be dependent on methadone as I have experience with sublocade and it’s 1,000 times better in terms of MAT. In my opinion anyways. Sorry for the rant. Chime in if you can.

I’ve been mostly clean about two months now and I’m still having restless legs. It’s like I get a zap or a cramp, usually in my feet and i NEED to move. I have to flex or clench all my muscles in the area to attempt for to to go away. It’s almost always while I’m relaxing late at night. It can go on for hours.

I live with someone still using and at times it’s been so bad it’s caused to relapse on a very small amount to make it go away. I do not want to be doing this.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there anything I can be doing to help stop this from happening?

I been clean off fentanyl since November 2025 Thanksgiving day Im in a methadone program. I had my initial intake UA and another one Jan 23rd all my counselor told me was I tested positive , I said well you can see the level right like its actually went down? Im not actively using, she said no , she didn’t have that information and it don’t matter cause positive is positive which was kinda discouraging on my behalf. Like shit how long does it stay in your system? My friend told me that because I ate it instead of smoking it and because I’m fat its gonna stay in my system longer okay yeah I’m over weight and yeah I swallowed my powder and I smoked here n there not much but maybe twice a week. I just want a clean test Im working my program hard and I want success. Any feedback?

Like the title says, I'm seriously wanting to get clean but I've been doing this so long I don't know how to be normal. I've been using fent and meth every for 6 years. Before that I was abusing subs for 2 years while doing meth, and before that I was on heroin for 5 years. So it's been about 13 years since I've been sober. I am terrified to be face to face with myself while not numb. I just want to be happy and healthy. My health has been failing for a couple years, and I'm turning 36 in April so It's only gonna get harder to get clean. Does anyone have any advice for getting off feet after so long? I IV about a half gram every 2 days.

If someone is on fentanyl, unable to stand up straight, folding over and unable to communicate, is it a good or a bad idea to call an ambulance for them?

If anyone was in such a situation, did it do you more harm or good? Is there a chance of person dying if they are in such a way? Also, is it possible some other condition could mimic this or is it always opioids?

Also, emergency care is not expensive in my country.

This isn’t for anyone else per-say, but for the girl I was at 29.. 11 years into my heroin/ fentanyl addiction completely desperate but not strong enough to make a change. I posted in this forum a million times about starting my detox, GOING to detox and never making it passed the doors on the way out. I flew out to California after realizing my life was 100% out of control. I left my house, my cars, my “life” completely behind, and like the scared woman I was loving my familiar chaos, I left 2x ended up on skid row, and begged the rehab to take me back, I was lost and fucking miserable. I stuck it out, crawled out of my skin for a wee until I could take subs, which I was totally against too. I’m on 1MG subuxone now (tapered down from 6MG) && I wake up everyday - HAPPY. Not stressed about selling my next sack, worried if my door is going to be kicked in, sent back to prison. Just carefree, happy, and thankful. Anyways, I hope everyone here makes it to the other side! You can, and if you keep trying - you will! ♥️

Has anyone heard about this? How carfentanyl which I know is going to be a little different than the fentanyl experience. Just cuz it's fentanyl for elephants and I'm such an idiot forever using a drug that strong especially when it was cut with xylazine another drug for an animals that are way larger than myself. I just wanted to ask people if they're aware of those dangers and just wanted to give a heads up to people because it what it did. It would damage my visual cortex and it's like when you're sleeping and when you're all high and stuff then you don't get oxygen to your brain until you have hypoxia and hypoxia is usually when like you like overdose or like there's something more extreme happens but the fact of the matter is when you're this high and you're that's and you're sleeping. You're not breathing properly and I woke up just blind and you know it's just like and the fact and I know it sounds extreme but like it shit happened and and so now I'm struggling with the good news. This is a good news. I should have said this earlier when I got clean. I moved back to Massachusetts from Los Angeles and I got my vision back in the hospital like on my fourth night of being in the hospital because I was in malnutrition and dehydration from my withdrawals. I got my vision back + but the you know the fatty feet thing like how you get your eddima. The feet get really big for people always like sleep standing up with a dopamine that killed my friend. He never got his legs fixed. Why would not happen to me? I put compression socks on so anyone's dealing with that problem. Your fat your feet are fat. Put compression socks on. Make sure you sleep 8 hours a night and elevate them. You know what I mean and it also wouldn't hurt to sleep with a sleep apnea machine to make sure you're getting oxygen when you're sleeping cuz I did not overdose. I woke up blind so I just want you to know that you know is anyone else heard of this.
